how much usually bayad dito? i wanna buy things kasi online.. tapos papadala ko sa johnny air.. door to door ba sila nagdedeliver?

my other option is, ipapadala ko sa tita ko sa US, then sya mag ship dito to manila.. kaso may minimum weight ba? and how much usually cost neto?

^ cost will depend on the weight of your package. Volume or actual weight, whichever is higher. Sa pagkakaaalala ko, it's still $5.99/lb + $5 handling fee + 12% vat. Minimum of 2lbs.

What you can do, buy your item online, have it shipped to any of the Johnny Air addresses in the US. Once it arrives, you may either get it from their office (MKati or in Megamall) or have it delivered for an additionl fee.

Or have it shipped to your relatives, para they can repack it (minsan kasi malalaki ang box kahit konti lang laman, so mapapamahal ka), then your relatives will ship it to Johnny Air address para padala sa yo.

Got 4 packages recently. Yung 2, tig 2lbs lang. Yung isa, maliit ang package pero mabigat, so 4lbs, yung actual weight. Yung isa naman, 1.5lbs lang actual weight pero nasa malaking box, so 5lbs binayaran ko. If you have 2 or more packages in one flight from US, once ka na lang magbabayad ng $5 handling fee, hindi na per package. Basta nataon na sabay sila na flight umalis dun..

I've tried the well-known courier services for my online shopping.  Here's my capsule reviews for each of them:

1.  Johnny Air Cargo -
Pros:  The fastest courier service of all I've tried.  Depending on when the item is delivered to their US address, the package can be delivered here in as fast as five days (this is the fastest I've experienced) Never had issues regarding damage or pilferage of items.  Relatively quick to reply to email and phone queries.   
Cons:  Only offers shipping by air freight.  There's a minimum weight of 2 lbs. So kahit less than 1 lb lang ang item mo, they charge you for 2 lbs.  They don't deliver to your house, you have to pick up the items from their Makati or Megamall offices.  You won't know how much the shipping cost will be until the item is in the Philippines na.

2.  My Shopping Box -
Pros:  Offers both ship and air freight.  You are quoted the shipping cost (both for air and ship freight) before the package leaves the US.  Has a tie-up with GCash Amex and they have occasional discounts.  Package is delivered straight to your house.
Cons:  Their air freight delivery takes longer than Johnny Air's.  Ship freight takes an average of 1.5-2 months.  No consolidation services, even for ship freight option.

3.  corner8.ph
Pros:  Based on experience, this has the cheapest rates for air freight even though they charge by volume weight also.  No minimum weight (I've shipped a DVD in an envelope package and they just charged me for one pound).  Offers ship freight as an option, but I haven't tried this yet.  They can deliver to your house, but for an additional fee (unlike MSB na covered na ng quote ang delivery to your house).  Otherwise, you pick up your package from their pickup point near Magallanes village.
Cons:  They have air freight dispatch from the US is only once a week (Thursday).  If your items make the Wednesday cut-off, you'll get your item by Friday of the following week.  But if your item arrives in their warehouse on Thursday, 2 weeks wait.

4. Pobox ph
Pros:  Offers consolidation services for no extra charge.  Cheapest rates for ship freight compared to MSB and corner8
Cons:  Ship freight only, plus they take a long time to respond to queries and emails.  They are tied up with Forex Cargo, so once the shipment leaves the US, you track your box through ForexCargo.

Conclusion:  If I need a package right away, I use corner8 or Johnny Air.  If I want to shop for a lot but don't mind the 2 month wait for the items to reach me, I use Pobox.

^JAC can deliver to your home address. I always have my items delivered to my house with additional fee. But since I'm their suki na they waive this. They also offer shipping/balikbayan box service but I haven't tried it since I'm a suki of Star Kargo.

^^ if you course your JAC package through NY/NJ, you may track your package sa website nila. Not sure kung pati sa California e may tracking service na din.   Naka-indicate na dun kung kelan umalis ng US, actual weight and volume weight so makaka-estimate na din ng cost before pa dumating package. Magkakakonting difference lang sa forex rate pero minimal na lang yun. And pwede sya ipadeliver sa home address mo, me konting additional lang.

^ tried their balikbayan box service na, pero kami mismo nagdala sa LA office nila. We had some personal effects and purchased goodies shipped nung nag-US kami kasi napasarap sa shopping, di na kasya sa luggage at sa baggage allowance pauwi. Hehe.. Di ko pa na-try yung online purchase tapos sa kanila ipapa-sea freight.

^wala silang pick up sa BB box service nila? Mas okay pa rin pala sa Star Kargo, isang tawag lang pick up na ni Manong sa house. Tapos meron pang rebate na $10 since TFC subscriber brother ko. Ako din no fail every time I visit my siblings laging meron excess baggage kaya BB box lang ang katapat. How much ang charge nila sa regular BB box?

^ nope, walang pick-up.. plan nga sana namin ipa-pickup na lang sa hotel, pero di daw pwede. So yun, we drove to their office na lang.. reg balikbayan box is $60+ yata, jumbo is $70+ lang. Mura na rin rate nila.

^Ay mahal sila sis! I'll stick with Star Kargo pa rin for BB box but for air shipment so far wala pa rin tatalo sa JAC in terms of reliability and speed of delivery. I'm expecting another shipment next month after the Thanksgiving Sales.

^ di ko sure exact dimensions, pero parang about 3ft ang height yung jumbo. Malaki sya kasi di pa namin napuno agad. So iniwan muna namin, then we went to nearby Ross and TJ's to buy some more stuff pampuno. Layo kasi hotel namin (we got one near LAX na) so better option that time na mamili na lang some more. Hehe..

tried johnny air once, never again. super tagal dumating ng shipment ko nagkagulo gulo - i just went for the gcash amex nalang. nagmahal na sila ngayon though

Gaano kaya katagal magship Jac ngayon because of the Christmas rush? I had my package delivered to their SF office and it arrived yesterday. I emailed them for ETA but they haven't replied.

Edit: Nov26 pala ng hapon nadeliver, right before Thanksgiving holiday.

^^My package from SFO will be delivered to my house tomorrow. It arrived at their SFO office last 25Nov and left for Manila 27Nov. Naabutan ng Thanksgiving holiday plus nag start na ma-delay mga packages nila kasi holiday rush na daw.
