Comparing sales taxes between CA and NY, mas mura pa rin sa CA. Kaya stick to JAC SFO pa rin ako.

I like JAC rin naman... weird lang kasi iba iba ang quote sa akin. I buy kasi from the US a lot.. pero yung order ko exactly the same always from one supplier... same everything ha, box and the laman... minsan its 1,200++ ang quote, minsan naman 1,600+++ but whatever, okay lang... at least, sure na dumadating.

i don't think so sis... kasi too big yung 400 diff niya... siguro mga 5x na ako same exact shipment... yung bago nga dating sa akin lumobo considering 41 na lang nag dollar... I think naka 1694 the last time... anyway, i just find it weird but i really don't mind... kapag super laki na diff... dun ako magtataka..

may one time, they quoted me 15 lbs... wala naman timbangan dun so i just asked them na parang impossible kasi mga bathing suits lang naman laman, i think 5 pieces lang... tapos, binabaan nila to 10 lbs nalang yung chinarge sa akin. pag-uwi ko, tinimbang ko and 7lbs lang sya (kasi may free hangers, grr... nagpabigat sa package)... i asked them about it and minsan daw they also take into consideration how big the box is... so carry lang yun i guess...

pero weird lang with my packages na exact same box and exact same laman... oh well. they are still the ONLY option na walang belated surprise sa tax so i choose to stick with them.

I have mine sent to the NJ address, if I want to save on taxes.  Sa Amazon, wala pang tax for NJ deliveries.

Ang downside nga lang is that the NJ packages are forwarded to NY office, so tatagal ng 2-3 days and arrival time because of that.

Sis, haven't tried personally pero my friend naka-try na. Pwede naman. Me konting additional fee lang yata since electronics. Natanong ko na din to sa kanila kasi I planned on buying ipad mini from the US Apple store so I asked for estimated shipping cost. sabi ni Gen ng JAC pwede naman daw pero at that time di siya makapagbigay estimate ng shipping cost kasi wala pa sila na-rereceive na ipad mini then.

On my purchases, I use the NJ address din. Most if the time, walang sales tax. Or if meron man, definitely lower than the sales tax in NY.

So far, nitong recent purchase lang ako nagka-issue sa charges nila. Bought bags from Coach, picked up the package from Mega, then pag-uwi tsaka ko na-check ang charges. Me usd15 na "premium fees" despite na below usd1000 naman worth nung binili ko. So I emailed Gen and he said he'll check on it with their NJ/NY office. Sana maayos na, dalawang usd15 din yun.

And before na-try ko order sa E-Bags, kaloka anlaki ng box, tapos nahati pa sa dalawang box yung shipment. Ayun, nagulat ako pagdating ng text na nakalagay yung charges. Pero partida, binabaan na ng JA  yun kasi they used yata the average between dimensional weight and actual weight to lower the charges. Kaya ok na din. Pero di na ako umulit sa EBags, hehe..

Re combining packages, even if they don't consolidate, they can waive the usd5 per shipment charge (forgot exact term). like once, nagkataon me 6 packages ako dumating within a few days of each other. So for the six, once lang ako nagbayad ng usd5 fee. Usd25 din natipid ko dun.

that happened to me too... sobrang laki ng box eh, swimsuits lang naman ang laman. parang ang 2 pounds naging 12 pounds...

Matagal ko na kasi gusto magpa-ship sa JAC, kaya lang pulos small items kasi na gusto ko i-consolidate.

ok ang Johnny Air, very reliable. Pero ang problem ko dito ay yung packaging, kaya di na ako umulit.

I once ordered 3 pieces of cloth diapers from Amazon worth US$10 each (around P430 when converted to peso). Kaya lang, amazon sent it to piece by piece to Johnny Air's office in NY, naka-envelope. When the 3 envelopes/packages arrived in Johnny Air Makati office, I was charged their standard minimum rate for each envelope. I forgot the exact rate, pero P685 ang binayaran ko per diaper. Mas mahal pa umabot ang cost ng shipping and taxes than the items I bought  : (

Kaya after noon, sa online sellers na lang ako dito sa Phil. bumibili, mas mura pa lumalabas.

Sis loball, di talaga consolidation. more like consideration/discount na lang if nagkataon me sabay-sabay dumating na packages.. Pero each package e babayaran pa din according to weight. Yung handling/processing fee na usd5 lang mawi-waive for the other packages. Di ko sure if they still consolidate/combine now e, parang di na yata..

^^^ kaya di na ako umorder ulit sa EBags, ini-split na nga ang orders ko into 2 packages, anlaki pa ng box.. Buti discounted yung mga nabili ko, pero syempre sayang pa din..

Ayun napapaisip ako kung magkano sisingilin for lots of items na maliliit pero sa iba't ibang Amazon seller ko bibilhin. Puntahan ko na lang sila to inquire

Was able to try their service twice pa lang and had no problems with it. First order ko was from Old Navy. I got 4 maternity dresses pero na delay yung shipment nung isang dress. I paid around 1500. Recently I bought 2 dress from amazon and I was charged 798.

^Ah, yun lang. Pag iba-ibang sellers, iba-ibang packages din yan.. Mas ok if masusulit mo ang orders mo from each seller.. Or request sellers to just use envelope/pouch for your orders para di ka madali ng box dimensional weight..

Me small/minor rant lang pala ako. Recently, they started accepting credit card payments na. Naka-try ako once, and sakto kasi yun yung madami ako packages na dumating, I paid 10k something in total. Yun nga lang on my next pick-up, sabi sa akin di na daw ako pwede pay by credit card kasi nasa "corporate" daw pala ang account ko, and hindi sa "retail padala". Magkaiba daw kasi ang payment terms for the two, though same lang naman rates. Sabi nung taga-Megamall, depends daw sa kung sinong naghahandle, whether the corporate group or the retail group.

Medyo nainis lang ako. E kasi same lang naman, ba't di na lang ipareho ang modes of payment? Hassle din kasi if magdadala lagi ng cash, especially if medyo malaki babayaran..

I had my hubby's personalized iPad and iPad case from the US delivered to my house and I paid Php1300+ lang. Then previous to that they consolidated my Bottega Veneta Maxi and cashmere scarf/leather gloves into one box even without my asking them. I paid less than Php2000 for that. If you're a long time client they give considerations i.e. waiving the handling fee, consolidation fees, etc. Plus it also helps siguro na I'm not a makulit client

Dumating na yung second package ko sa kanila, pero di sila umiimik as usual. Ganon ba yon? Hahayaan ko lang na sila magsabi na ipapadala na sa Manila yung package? Sa una ko kasing padala, I have to e-mail them pa na sabi sa UPS tracking e, dumating na sa kanila. That was 2 days after, kasi wala na talagang update from them. Tapos after nun, saka palang ako binigyan ng message ulet na paparating na ng Pinas and 802.54 ang babayaran ko.
