I'm sure madami pa pwede mabilhan ng film cameras, although I'm unable to point you to a specific shop pero mas malaki chance mo to find one kung sa hidalgo ka titingin.

If it might help you, look up bryan peterson's understanding exposure tutorial online (better if you can get your hands on a copy of his book) - dami ka mapupulot dun especially on how you can shoot manually.

I still join photoshoots kapag di busy, hobbyist din. I have 1100D purchased noong kakalabas pa lang and some lenses and filters. Nakakatamad din minsan magbitbit so nakikigamit na lang ako ng point and shoot na gamit ng kids

when i was in college, medyo fail ang grades ko sa photography classes (im a fine arts grad btw) didnt expect na this would be my first job up to now naging freelance photographer ako for events. kaya lang its really hard to invest on your gears kasi super mahal. im planning to focus on portraits na lang siguro or photoshoots since my gears are kinda outdated na.

In my younger years, photography was one of the subjects in a course I took up sa Cagayan de Oro. Development Communication yung course. When we moved to Manila, I shifted to Mass Comm, kasi 'yun naman talaga ang first choice ko. CDO colleges and universities did not offer Mass Comm back in the 80s. Anyway, since Mass Comm na ako, I was expecting na may photography pa rin ako na subject. Wala pala. I then realized na since Dev Comm was mainly focused on creating communication platforms for the barrios, photography was important. That's why wala rin ito sa curriculum namin. I so wanted to learn photography kasi sana.

Anyway, what I did was practice nalang on my own. I haven't had any formal photography classes, workshops, or training. I just practiced lang talaga. Eventually, when I started teaching, I coached the school's campus journalists and was given the chance to share my photography skills.

Today, I work with an assistant who also acts as my photographer. We cover events - I write about the events, she takes the photos. I would have wanted to do the photos nyself, but I haven't had practice for years - and I don't have a camera; not even a point and shoot digicam. Someday, I'll get myself an SLR and go back to photography. Someday soon...

My SLR's stuck on the dry box since October pa ata. I think I've lost the love that I once had for photography. Possibly because I'm so busy the past few months that I barely have time to do things that I previously do. Kalawang mode na ata ako haha

Hi, sis! I'm sure you'll soon find the opportunity to go back to photography. Baka you're just waiting for that one (or two!) inspiration para you'll be excited again and take out your SLR. I don't believe naman kasi na nawawala ang love or passion ng isang tao for photography (or for any other hobby for that matter!). So, give it a little more time. Di pa naman masyado katagalan ang pagtatago ng camera mo. hehe

Maybe you also need to do something that will help bring back the photography vibe in you. Pag di ka masyado busy, baka puede kang mag-allot ng a little time to taking photos using your phone. Baka eventually, eh magbalik 'yung gana mo to use your SLR. Start ka nalang muna sa mobile phone mo; at least madadala mo siya kahit saan, and you don't need a wide window of time para kumuha ng photos. Sa mobile phone cam kasi, puede kang click lang ng click, eh.

Hi Guyss, padaan lang. Ask ko sana sino dito gumagamit ng film camera. Saan ba pwede makabili online? Imposible akong makauwi ng Manila para magpunta ng Hidalgo eh. hehe puro Hidalgo nakikita ko na suggestions. Dito sa Davao naman, puro team manila lang nakikita ko. May masa-suggest ba kayo maski online na seller? salamat.

may alam ba kayong location na conducive sa family portrait? yun client ko kasi wants a portrait na they are in a park, sitting sa grass.. ang alam ko lang kasi is sa up diliman.. i know we could shoot there kaso they are from las piñas so i'm trying to get more options na mabibigay ko sa kanila.

yun sanag free to shoot saka di masyado maraming tao? hope someone can help...

pero alam mo... super dali na matuto nowadays. ako youtube lang talaga at articles.
and practice. practice a lot. binabase ko yung mga natutunan ko pag kinocompare ko mga shots ko noon at ngayon.

waaah anong cam ba yan sis? kasi i only owned 1 film camera, which is a Holga only. Medyo basic lang din yun.

Pero you know what, you can type the exact model sa youtube and i'm sure meron doon mga how-to's
