I've always loved taking pictures. But recently, my love for photography has been getting more and more serious. I'm thinking of investing on a DSRL lately and research online about how to take great photos.

Let's share some tips and ideas about photography here.

count me in.hilig ko rin magtake ng mga pictures. kaso nung nagka dslr na ko, bigla naman akong tinamad. haha. tho, im still taking pictures from time to time but hindi na ganung ka excited di tulad dati. LOL

I just bought a second hand d90 and still learning. do you girls need enrolling in a photography workshop is a necessity?

it's up to you sis. there are lot of information over the web pero advantage pa din if you will enroll in a photography class just what i did. one day workshop lang sya and i learned a lot. lalo na yung basic principle ng exposure (ISO,shutter speed & aperture). iba pa din kung may nagtuturo. but still ain't no pro. hahaha..

it's your prerogative sis. ako self-taught lang sa photography.

although it helps na may mentor ka din. like nun time na nag-apprentice-kuno or backup photographer ako sa weddings, dami din ako natutunan dun sa main photographer. basta, kung gusto may paraan. by hook or by crook.

I love taking pictures, this is the job i wanna do and the same time make money, I wanna learn more about the techniques, I don't have dslr which I am dreaming of having one....

I have always been a hobbyist. More serious photography requires a whole lot of dedication.

Depende sa 'yo yan, sis. Meron kasi na they learn better when it's taught to them, there are others who learn better when they discover it on their own. I think that in photography, the basic thing you need to know is your equipment.

siguro ang marerecommend ko po sa inyo [textspeak!] FPPF or try sir jo avila. sa ngayon kasi ang dami ng nag sulputang basic photography workshop pero yung mga lessons lang nila based sa internet =)

about lenses depende po sa gusto niyong field pero maganda subukan niyo muna [textspeak!] kitlens. imaximize mo po then pag ok na dun na po kayo mag decide what field po ang gusto mo.

I'm just a hobbyist, but planning to enroll any short course about photography but not in the near future I satisfy my curiosity by youtube or any tutorial via online

Hi there. I'm also a photography hobby-ist for almost 2 years na.

My fave subject - flowers.

I enrolled into James Nicolay's photography classes before kasi flexible yung schedule ng classes niya and I can pick the courses I want to take. He offers discount if you plan to take them all immediately. Disadvantage: limited persons per class lang (max 6-8) unlike sa iba. Kaya mabilis na nauubusan ng slots.

Or kung "tipid" mode kayo, learn from the videos in youtube.

Then, practice.. practice.. and practice (plus patience, as well).

^Sis, nag-classes ka din pala kay James Nicolay. I attended his basic photography class last March. I wanted to enroll for the other classes, pero saka na kapag madami na kong picture.

sis, san ka nagenroll ng 1 day lang? gusto ko din yun 1 day lang basic lang naman muna kelangan ko eh....

I love landscapes.

It's been a hobby for 4 years already. I still consider myself a hobbyist. Never got the chance to enroll myself in class pero natuto ako from people who takes photography seriously.

Sometimes, nakakaraket naman ako... tee hee!...

Yup. Matagal na akong nag-attend ng Basics Class niya (2009 pa), and I was using P&S pa nun. It was then followed by Editing, HDR, Still Life & Landscape Classes. Then natigil yung pag-enroll ko kasi naging busy ako with my training and/or laging ubos agad ang slots niya.

I want to take a refresher course on his HDR session. Nalimutan ko na. Hehe!

Got a DSLR for almost two years now. I really love taking pictures especially landscape, portrait and macro shots. Never enrolled in a photography class. I just learned from fellow amateur photographers and via the net.
