Medyo OT po. di ko po kasi alam where to post this.

i just had my period. very brown sya. usually red to dark red ang mens ko. parang now ko lang nakita tong ganitong pagka brown. is this something to worry about? do i have infection po ba?

this past 6-8 months regular naman period ko. sakto naman today that I suppose to get my period.
nabasa ko na baka sa mga kinakain daw na hindi maganda. which confuses me, this past month kasi nag change na ko ng diet. (kasi I'm having lipo cavitation, hihi  ;D ) I don't eat rice, tapos super light meals lang. minsan nga bread lang, vegetable salad lang for dinner, I always eat fruits, I don't drink cold beverages, no softdrinks, no juice. Water, coffee at tea lang ako. basta more on healthy foods.

nagtaka naman ako, kung kelan naman ako nag control ng diet at kumain ng healthy foods saka naman nagkaganito. :(

^sis wag ka matakot go to an ob na. She would ask for your ob histiry, sexual history din,etc you can request to have a papsmere na rin. Tell her about the itchiness ng bf mo. Siya lang ba? Ikaw walang itchiness? Kasi sa sexual contact ang always dehado is yung partner na ipenetrate than the one who would penetrate. Kung feeling mo galing sayo ang infection then more than he, ikaw dapat una makaramdam ng sakit or infection. Good luck stay healthy consult an ob!

hi mga sis. share ko lang. 2 years ago nun nagwowork pa ako, madalas ako magka UTI. and there came a time na naging malala cia at nun nagpacheck na ako sa OB, vaginitis na daw.lagi ako may discharge that time. Todo hugas ako everytime kahit nagwiwi lang ako. todo inom din water plus the medicines na bigay ng doctor. nawala naman cia, pero pansin ko laging may slight discharge so meaning pabalik balik pa din cia. hanggang sa I chanced upon reading about drinking apple cider vinegar mixed with honey, minsan mixed with lemon. Tapos I threw all my vaginal wash bottles na like lactacyd. I sticked with using a mild soap such as Ivory. I tried my best din na iwasan magsuot ng skinny jeans para makahinga un pempem well. Siguro after 3 months, dun na nagsimula gumanda un natural state ng pempem.

Then pag maglalaba undies wag na gumamit downy or fabric softener. tamang sabon lang then wash well. Mas maganda pag naaarawan undies, pag di maarawan, try to iron your undies para wala bacteria. I learned all these because of the bad vaginal discharge experience before. Kulang sa pansin na pala madalas ang vagina natin so it is finding its way para magpapansin. hehe

BENEFITS OF APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Reduce sinus infections and sore throats
Balance high cholesterol
Cure skin conditions such as acne
Protect against food poisoning
Fight allergies in both humans and animals
Prevent muscle fatigue after exercise
Strengthen the immune system
Increase stamina
Increase metabolism which promotes weight loss
Improve digestion and cure constipation
Alleviate symptoms of arthritis and gout
Prevents bladder stones and urinary tract infections

Uses of Apple Cider Vinegar
Weight Loss
While it is not known why, many people claim that Apple Cider Vinegar promotes weight loss. Some theories suggest that ACV helps to speed up the metabolism, while others suggest that it burns calories. A number of nutritionists also believe that combining Vitamin B6 and Lecithin with Apple Cider Vinegar is highly effective for weight loss. A suggested remedy is to mix 2 teaspoons of ACV mixed with a glass of water and drink this before every meal or sip it slowly throughout the day

Bad Breath
Due to its acidic properties, Apple Cider Vinegar makes a wonderful remedy for bad breath or halitosis. Simply add 1/2 tablespoon of ACV into a cup of water and gargle the mixture in your mouth for 10 seconds at a time until the cup is empty.

Body Odor
Apple Cider Vinegar is an effective body odor remedy, since it can help adjust the skin's pH level which helps to eliminate odor-causing bacteria. For armpit odor, simply wipe them once each morning with undiluted apple cider vinegar (using a cotton ball). For foot odor, fill a pan with warm water and add 1/3 cup of ACV, then let your feet soak in this mixture for 15 minutes once per week.

Skin Problems and Infections
Acne
Apple Cider Vinegar is a natural cure for acne. Please refer to our Acne Home Remedy page for more information on how to treat acne with Apple Cider Vinegar.

Age Spots
Apple Cider Vinegar contains sulfur that fights the effects of aging, which makes it suitable for treating age spots. Visit our Home Remedy for Age Spots page to learn about an effective Apple Cider Vinegar and onion juice treatment for this condition.

Cellulite
Many women have found that Apple Cider Vinegar can help reduce the appearance of cellulite. Our Cellulite Home Remedies page contains details on how ACV can be used to treat this problem.

Yeast Infection
Apple Cider Vinegar has been found to be an effective treatment for yeast infections. See our Yeast Infection Home Remedies page for more details on how soaking in a bath mixed with a few cups of ACV can be used to treat this infection.

Stomach Problems
Constipation
Apple Cider Vinegar is frequently used as a natural cure for constipation. Please visit our Constipation Home Remedy page for more information on how drinking Apple Cider Vinegar can help cure this common digestive problem.

Diarrhea
There are various causes for diarrhea, and although it should not be left untreated, it is often a natural way for the body to rid itself of harmful compounds and ingested materials. Apple Cider Vinegar is a fantastic natural remedy for diarrhea since the high pectin concentration acts as a protective coating which soothes the irritated lining of the colon. A suggestion is to add 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar to a large glass of water, and drink this 3 times daily while the symptoms persist.

i may be raining on your parade, sisses, but SUPER INGAT lang when using home remedies, especially to INJECT IN THE VAGINA. it's no joke.

true, ACV (apple cider vinegar) is known to be effective, but not all pu$$ies are the same. some are delicate (like mine) and cannot take even slight deviations in ingredients and amounts used. so i do not douche with home made preparations.

a healthy vagina does not need to be douched, because it SELF-CLEANS.

in my case, only Lactacyd Vaginal Gel (VG) is safe to use internally, in the vaginal canal.

if u find yourself relying on vaginal douches, SOMETHING AINT RIGHT WITH YOUR FLORA. douching upsets the vaginal flora. causes imbalance that creates the opportunity for harmful microbes to take over (vaginitis caused by bacteria or candida yeast or a combination of both).

a woman's vagina is naturally acidic. ever wondered why Lactacyd feminine wash touts a low pH level of 3.5, and the other popular wash, pH Care has a higher pH level of 5.0? these fem washes target different vaginal conditions. you may be hiyang to one and suffer reactions to the other. so if you are ok with one, better not change fem washes on a whim. your vaginal pH may be altered by changes in washes and this leads to imbalance that may encourage an infection.

IF YOU SUFFER FREQUENT VAGINAL INFECTIONS, one of your considerations should be your washing habit. do you wash often even when you're not menstruating, say more than once daily--too clean down there? we all need some bacteria in our vagina, too.

secondly, are you pH-sensitive? one clue for pH sensitivity is having unpleasant reactions to certain fem washes.

third, here's what you may or may not have considered: ARE YOU ALLERGIC TO YOUR PARTNER'S SEMEN? this condition is called seminal plasma hypersensitivity. you can look it up on google. it's not some kaartehan made up by a woman to avoid sex. hehe. IT REALLY HAPPENS. do you often have an infection after having unprotected sex? there you have it. you ARE pH sensitive!

pH of seminal fluid VARIES from male to male. some guys have lower pH (acidic) and some have higher pH (>4.0, 4.5 towards neutral). even the same person's seminal pH can change according to what he ate last night! but for our purpose, let's assume his seminal pH remains within a particular range. just like your sensitivity to fem washes, you are likely to suffer the same reactions to semen that your vagina cannot tolerate. hence you are prone to vaginal infections.

if you have abnormal discharge or odor a day or two after sex, chances are something's going on inside your vagina, it's worth observing. if it persists, a checkup is recommended.

what can u do? HAVE HIM USE A CONDOM PRIOR TO EJACULATION. not all guys will be happy to use one, so make tawad. have him put on a condom when he is ready to cum.

thank you ms.katy. ;-)

*** IF YOU FEEL SOMETHING ISN'T NORMAL, CHANCES ARE SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT ***

people will avoid going to the doctor if they can help it. i'm isa't kalahating duwag din when it comes to doctors, but better overcome the fear than suffer the consequences of self-medication.

i am at the premenopausal stage, sexually active. however, hormonal depletion has resulted in two infections which prompted visits to the obgyn this year alone (3 if you count the annual smear). the first non-routine visit was in july when i developed a yeast infection due to antibiotics taken for a uti. the second one just this week, due to an infection also.

two incidence of infection, and yet the two aren't the same type of infection. so just to let the ladies know that it is important to see the doctor in every case u have, because you won't know what you are dealing with until you are diagnosed.

without proper diagnosis, there's no certainty that the medication you are using will work. you may think u have a bacterial infection when it's yeast, or vice versa. and let me tell u that a mixed infection will show symptoms that do not fall in either category. so why wrack your brain worrying and trying home remedies when a single visit to the obgyn will give you the answer, thus saving you time, money and your physical and mental health? :-)

common vaginal infections are easy to treat, and painless (just cross your fingers you are not drug-sensitive). a course of antibiotics or anti-fungals (bacteria, fungus respectively) usually for a duration of 7 days will take care of your issue.

once you start regular sexual activity, the obgyn becomes part of your life. barring any other medical condition, it's the obgyn that women are first likely to establish a doctor-patient relationship with. you can't avoid the obgyn. even if you do not have sexual activity (by circumstance or by choice), you should nevertheless see an obgyn for routine exams.

virginity or abstinence does NOT spare the ladies from infection. sex isn't the only cause of vaginal infections, though it can make symptoms worse. when something upsets your vaginal flora, say from antibiotics taken to treat another condition, you may develop a yeast infection.

advice if you take antibiotics for UTI...bladder infections are rapidly becoming drug resistant. if you do not get well from a course of antibiotics, your doc may prescribe a second course with a stronger antibiotic. bombarding your system with antibiotics is like throwing the baby out with the dirty bathwater, meaning the good and bad bacteria are wiped out, which leaves your vagina open to a takeover by yeast. this isnt saying you must not follow doctors' orders, but taking probiotics while u are on antibiotics may help in preventing yeast. talk to your obgyn about taking probiotics. do not self-treat okay.

*** TRUTH IS HOME REMEDIES ARE A HIT OR MISS ***

the web is full of information about alternative therapies for women's reproductive issues. very tempting to try! my obgyn uses alternative treatments, BUT AS AN ADJUNCT TO CONVENTIONAL DRUG TREATMENT.

nobody can stop u from trying out remedies ranging from what seems to be safe to the far out. but please know that 2 to 3 days of self treatment is ENOUGH time for your condition to improve. if your condition does not improve on the 3rd day, get your vagina to the obgyn's clinic, pronto.

to those suggesting (more of copying directly from web content): be kind to your fellow girltalkers by adding a disclaimer to your post. there are those who might take your post without batting an eyelash! i'm sorry for playing backseat moderator here, but i was moderator and admin for girltalk from 2002-2010 and many of you may not know me anymore :-)

so please avoid suggesting alternative remedies UNLESS YOU HAVE TRIED IT AND IT WORKED FOR YOU. still, it is still best to lean on the side of caution--that is, encourage others to seek medical attention FIRST.

what you can do here to help others is tell your own experience of a vaginal infection and what was done to cure it, or unexpected issues that arose during treatment, which may help others going through a similar condition.

for us non-MD's, experience, not hearsay, is the best help we can offer.

only those who have gone the way of western medicine that did not work out well for them should consider alternative solutions. there are alternative practitioners who you can approach for your condition if western medicine was not able to help. you can then relate your story of how alternative treatment worked for you and perhaps recommend a qualified therapist.

thanks for your consideration, girls. trying to help because let's face it--home remedies especially without medical supervision remain for most part in ambiguous territory. let's be safe than sorry.
