When is the best time to resign and why?

UPDATE ULIT: inofferan ako ng promotion for next year (kasi tapos na yung period for promotion and adjustments). that's april to september pa siguro next year. yan tuloy napapaisip na naman ako. hays.

Pag di na ko masaya sa ginagawa ko at hinihila ko nalang paa ko papasok ng office. Lately, tamad na tamad na ko bumangon ng maaga for work, naiisip ko mastress lang ako at hindi worth the stress yung sahod ko. Hirap naman tyumempo ng apply sa iba dahil ang higpit sa leaves. Grrrr!

Ako nun laging absent, wala na kasi ako paki maski ireprimand nila. Ang hirap din kasi magfile ng leave, laging denied so ayun absent na lang ako.

^Hirap sa amin sis kasi pagbalik mo after mo mag absent, tambak work mo. Tapos dami ko na rin SL nung previous months. Pag nakatyempo nalang siguro ko ng recruiter na talagang swak sa gusto ko, mapipilitan ako mag absent.

Mahirap nga yan lalo na if may naka-set na deadline ang tasks mo at wala ka naman iba na aasahan na gagawa. Sana makahanap ka na ng work na swak sa gusto mo.

is there an actual "best time" to resign? naisip ko lang, hihi diba parang wala naman talagang "best time" to do that. Kasi it'll probably give you the worst feeling (guilt) diba? Pero like most of you have said siguro nga yung panahon na hindi ka na nga masaya yon.

For me I resign kapag iniiyakan ko na yung pagpasok sa work st hinihila ko na lang yung sarili ko para pumasok.

hala! ganito ako now...
papasok dapat ako ngayon to render my resignation tapos di ko parin magawa pumasok kasi naiistress na ko iniisip ko pa lang.

i think the the "ideal" time would be about this time of the year hehe! ipasa resignation last day of november, remder 30days notice para end of december tapos ka na! saktong entra ng new year you have a new job, new environment..start fresh...diba? hehe sarap lang isipin

of course dapat meron ka ng nahanap na work prior to rendering yung 30 days. tsaka maganda rin yung nabuo mo na yung buong year para masaya ang 13th month pay

kaya lang sa kaso ko hindi pwede, naunahan ako ni hubby eh...pero sya naman may replacement work na ako wala pa hehe...

Ako din gusto ko na magresign kasi di na ako masaya sa ginagawa ko. Nag-apply ako sa isang company and had my initial assessment  pero wala pa akong narereceive na feedback from them. Nag-follow up na rin ako thru email pero wala pa rin reply. Sana mag-reply sila kung ok or meron silang nakitang mas suitable for the position. Unprofessional naman kung di sila mag-reply

Second week of December, para di ka masali sa tax adjustment! Hahaha

haha! this ^!  kinoconsider ko din mga ganitong time eh. or yung tipong before end of May para at December makasama pa sa bigayan ng extra bonuses! kasi yung iba regular employees lang ang binibigyan ng bonus aside sa christmas bonus. hehe.

With my previous employer I planned to resigned ng July but since na-lateral transfer ako to a closer location I stayed until Feb para kuha ko pa 13th month ng Dec and VL/SL credits (Every Feb 15th pay out kasi ang release ng cash conversion)

Kung matuloy po ang plano, baka makakuha ako ng working visa. May kumukuha kasi sa aking employer abroad. Since 4-6 months ang visa application, wala naman assurance na maaaprubahan ang visa, right? Pero once maaprubahan, gusto ng employer ko ASAP makapagreport na ko sa kanila. Hindi ako makakapagrender ng two months notice period na gusto ng company ko.

Valid reason kaya yun for immediate resignation dito sa pinagtratranahuhan ko? Wala pa ako one year sa current company ko.

^Sis, 2 month-notice period? Is that what's written in your contract? That's lengthy ha, considering wala ka pa one year.

Find what is the requirement per your agreement and governing law because I've never heard of a 2-month notice period if less than a year of service pa lang. Also, you can definitely discuss the need to render at least one month turnover to your boss based on your deadline to fly out for your overseas job.

Don't resign till you get visa. Once agreed upon with your present company yung resignation date, saka ka magconfirm kay work abroad kung kailan ka pwede mag-earliest flight. And give yourself at least a week allowance to rest and spend time with your family.
