dette, malamig dyan! my cousin and his family used to live there pero now they live in orlando.

yes, nagpapa-deliver kami ng wilkins. we have the dispenser na regular round lang, hindi yung hot and cold. at night, i ask the  maid to cover the spout of the dispenser with plstic tapos naka rubber band sa taas para in case may ipis or langgam, di madumihan yung spout.

anong itsura kaya nung dispenser na yon?

tin, pag nasa shiseido counter ka you can check their products, tapos sabay pabili ka sa japan ;D or, abang ka ng luxasia sale. AS IN super laki ng mura. yung shiseido pureness foaming facial wash ko i got it for 600 lang, double the size nung oiginal size (salon size ata tawag nila dito). try mo magask ng samples if meron sila to see if no reactions ka sa product before ka bumili. kung di ka makakuha ng samples sabihin mo sakin at pwede kita kunan sa suki kong takashimaya counter dito then mail ko sayo, usually it comes it sachets lang naman so pwede ko snail mail ;D

another good brand for sensitive skin is avene. and same with van, i also use neostrata. but right now ilog maria's glycerin soap works well for me. labo nga e kung kailan nabuntis at nanganak ako now super clear ng skin ko :P and agree ako with marose, sa duty free ka pabili if ever ;D halos lahat ng kaeklatan ko sa DF ko binibili para d ako makunsensya sa gastos :-X

lisa, d ok yung total effects dyan satin sabi ng auntie ko who swears on this. yung made in US yung mas okay. parang pringles, di hamak na mas masarap ang made in USA ;D Siempre kailangan kong iconnect sa pagkain? :P yung loreal mo, baka d ka hiyang. or, if may funky smell ang foundation mo, ditch mo na and baka expired na. you can see naman the shelf life ng makeup usually sa ilalim, yung meron nakalagay na 12m, 6m, 24m. m stands for months. for foundations normally 1 1/2 - 2yrs ang shelflife.

pia, for dark undereyes dapat product with vitamin K ang gamit like cernor. i think strivectin ata yung isa pa na madaming raves for dark undereyes. for makeup expiration, may makikita ka sa packaging nya yung nakalagay na may 12m, 6m, 18m, 24m and so on, like normally for mascaras, 6m madalas yung nakalagay but sometimes it depends, meron kasi mascaras na mabilis matuyo na tipong 2-3mos lang ditch na. depends on how you take care of your makeup too :)

dette, if you have freckles, mandelic peel ang treatment dyan sa derma. for DIY, i recommend neostrata's glycolic lotion. BUT make sure you use sunblock or preferrably moisturizer w/ spf.

believe it or not d ako ganito kakikay nung highschool, medyo "late bloomer" ako and i started going to derma religiously lang 2005 when i realized the importance of having a good skincare regimen. tapos sumunod na rin si makeup.

yung mandelic peel is same with fruit acid peel kung d ako nagkakamali. and yes pwede mo gawin pag nagbakasyon ka sa pinas. i can refer you to my derma if you want, clinic nya is at st lukes qc and fort. mura lang din meds nya and you can buy tingi-tingi pa if you like. may mga tingi-tingi cya ng neostrata & avene sunblock hehe ;D d halatang kabisado noh :P isa lang naman kasi ako sa mga stone age patient ng derma ko since 2005 ;D;D

basta mandelic peel + neostrata + sunblock = goodbye freckles ;D

I swear by Neostrata talaga. My derma recommended Neostrata ultra smoothing lotion before, nag-start ako with AHA 10 na once a day lang gagamitin tapos nung naubos yung bottle nag-progress ako sa AHA 15 and I swear jan nag-pantay ang skin tone ko and naging super smooth pati elbows and feet ko.

Grayce! I like yang call it spring.. nako nako.. san store meron dito?

Brendz, ngak nagka lindol!?

Grayce, my kids never had the rotavirus shot.   Exclusively breastfed sila.  Kapag UP-PGH doctor ang pedia, ang stand nila, kung strict naman ang sanitation practices sa bahay, hindi kailangan ang RV vaccine, especially since it does not fight against other causes of diarrhea in infants.  Dagdag gastos lang iyan.

Same with PCV, ang stand ni Dr. Mantaring (pedia/neonatologist semi-god sa PGH), if baby is not immuno-compromised and hindi naman siya pa-gala gala or ita-travel sa ibang bansa at hindi naman exposed sa unhealthy people, optional din.  Nagpa-PCV vax ang mga anak ko kasi super preemies sila so I decided to have it na lang kahit ang sakit sa bulsa.  12k agad yun per PCV shot kasi times 2.

Remember that vaccines also contain the very toxin that it is supposed to fight against so it is really wise to consider if a vaccine is absolutely needed given the lifestyle, health and risk factors of the baby.  May ibang mommies nga like Hindy Tantoco who absolutely refuse to give their baby vaccines.  Well, I do not totally agree naman sa 0 vaccines but to each her own.

Tin, my derma is Dr. Nellie Yu.  She is super good!  Derma siya ni Kitkat Zobel and her kids, and dati nina Gretchen (noong Seiko star pa siya kasi brother ni Dr. Yu si Robbie Tan of Seiko Films) and Carmi Martin.  Grabe, she must be in her 60s but super flawless ang skin niya and super fine lines lang siya.  At hindi siya mukhang retokado like Vicki Belo or Pie Calayan (kawawa naman this doctor, she serves as a poster girl against too much retoke).  What I like about Dr. Yu is the fact na siya mismo or her daughter who is also a licensed derma, ang hahawak sa face mo, not just some assistant.

My skin was super ugly when I was pregnant.  Pimples galore because of the high dosage of steroids I was taking daily (APAS patient ako like Jen/redrose).  So, after giving birth and getting the clearance from my OB, go agad ako kay Dr. Yu.  I told her that I was breastfeeding so maraming restrictions.  She put me on light therapy - Omnilux and prescribed only topical ehrythromycin, the only antibiotic that is safe for nursing moms.

Aside from the 5 injections daily, premature delivery, sangkaterbang gamot, bed rest, isa pa yang pimples na iyan!

Pero 4 years ago, diyan ako nakabili ng Strivectin for under P1000.  Sobrang sulit.

Lisa, re Wilkins.  Advice ni pedia, small bottles ang gamitin sa start, yung mauubos within 24 hours kasi yung repeated opening of the cap exposes the water to airborne bacteria kaya hindi maganda ang malalaking bottles.

Dr. Edwards ang kids ko from 6 months to 1 year.  Then, Wilkins or Absolute until 2 years old.  When they turned 2, mineral water na kasi may nabasa akong hindi rin maganda na distilled water all the way.  When they turned 3, pare-pareho na kami ng water (Living Water alkaline water na dine-deliver sa house).  My kids never had any problem regarding the water.

Edited to add:  Dr. Nellie Yu's clinic is at the 4th floor of the Mercury building sa may Glorietta 3.  I am not updated as to her rates though kasi last visit ko sa kanya 2007 pa, after I gave birth nga.

Tin, you can go sa DF kapag may balikbayan kang kasama.

Morning hot mommas!

@Lisa: I don't think B will be able to finish a 6 liter bottle within 48 hours!  Maybe you should try the 1.5 liter bottle first?  After  6 months, we didn't count how long J would finish a 6 liter bottle. Ok pa rin siya :D

Yes, I followed the guhit guhit of sis DV and it works.  My washing machine doesn't have an automatic dispenser so I have to use a Downy ball.  Good luck!  You'll notice that your clothes will smell fresher, more color or whiter and soft too :)

@Dette: Michigan!  Sarap naman.. country side like, right?  I have email pals (parang pen pals but through email) that live in Ann Arbour. My dream is to visit that place and look at fairy doors with my daughters.

@Marose:  Yes, I think if my anesthesia affected memory is correct, I asked in the vaccines thread about RV and about Dr. Mantaring.  My pedia also respected my decision and explained to me na it's optional.  Medyo praning ako with vaccines bec during my older kids' time, we only needed the basics. I just had them vaccinated with the required ones over the years.  Plus I have mommies who believe that their kids were affected by vaccines thus making them mentally handicapped.

@Pia: When I use vineger, I don't use fabric conditioner na.  Wait, surf comes with fabric con in the detergent so I don't know if it's the same yet I still use datu puti.  When I use surf antibac, I get the same results also.  I haven't tried it with liquid fab con though kasi it will defeat the purpose of not using fab con. I've been using datu puti lately.

Kaloka, wala akong kaalam alam. And nasa magkano sya?

Marose, thanks sis! So, until now may clinic pa rin sya sa Glo? Super expensive ba sya like Belo? Pinakamahal palang na napuntahan ko was VBP clinic. At mas lalong pumanget ang face ko! :(

Thanks Pia dear! Sige sige, go na nga ako sakanya. Nice naman mga kuha nya diba? May portrait session pa before ng partey :)

Marose, if diamon peeling usually mga ilang sessions sya? 5-6? To the point na nahihiya akong lumabas for like 2-3days dahil super read at peeling ang aking face. :(

Nesz, OA ka? Pano? Hehe. Share naman. Super expensive nung brands na yun? Like how much?

Marose, both my sisters went to dr nellie yu din before. Pati my cousins. Clinic niya before was yung sa tabi ng rustans before there was even a glorietta. I was in  high school then and my sisters had only started working. I was too young for derma daw.

Grace, oo nga. Duh. 6 liters in 48 hours di talaga kaya. Maybe i will try a small bottle but i will talk to the pedia first. And will try the vinegar.

What more in 2013 kung matuloy kami. Pero 2006 yung last time eh, my dad had a triple bypass surgery in 2007 so he's a lot stronger now.

Kay dr chen both pcv and rv were optional but we opted to have both given.
