Hi sis! Would you know if the stuff sold on www.orientaltrading.com is similar to the ones sold in divi? Both design (more or less) and quality-wise?

I was thinking of going for ballerina princess. Hope the little girl agrees to this. She wants a Rockstar Princess then, tapos naging Disney princess, and now she can't decide.

i am also thinking of Rockstar princess theme - bright pink,black and some sparkling or glitters. she likes kasi Hanna montana/HSM before now Victoria at Big time rush na.

@twelve5, i don't know what kind of quality is sold in divi with respect to those boxes but i can say that the boxes I bought from orientaltrading are of good quality. Here's what I turned the box into:

Hey mga sis! Newbie here I just want to share that for my son's 1st birthday party we had Finding Nemo for the theme, I would like to thank FN nga kasi most of the ideas came from the suggestions here It was really fun!

^ thanks for the feedback, i_miss_sleep!  Im torn between buying from them or divi kasi. But i think i'll checkout the quality in divi muna siguro so i dont have to pay shipping.

My daughter will celebrate her 3rd bday in Feb 2013. Sa resort ang venue so I'm planning to have a "Swim theme." Giveaways will be swim goggles and inflatables. What are other ideas you can share with me, mga sis?

^you're on the right track, sis. I suggest na ang container mo na lang sa giveaways mo ay yung beach pails with shovel. Mag-add ka na lang ng other decor touches like starfish or shells or leis sa loob.

@twelve5, thanks! simple lang yung loot bag ko. Theme kase ng anak ko is Ninjago which I can't find any party merchandise with that as a theme, so nag-improvise na lang ako. The stick behind the box are chopsticks that now appears like Ninja katanas. Inside are chocolates and items like ninja necklace, japanese drums and chinese fans.

^ i_miss_sleep, thats what i liked about it - hindi sya cookie-cutter. The chopsticks was a simple touch but made a lot of impact.... Ikaw gumawa ng "eyes"? Galing, ah!

bestfriendnijerome, how about rubber duckies, water pistols, fish-shaped sugar cookies, kiddie sunglasses, bubble favors, mini hourglass, those toys that "grow" when you add water...?

^very simple. i took a jpg of Ninjago eyes from the internet then printed it out on yellow paper, cut and pasted on the box. yun lang At first sabi ko i-drawing ko na lang kaya, eh kaso i don't have a steady hand and yung eyes naging kirat...hahaha! so copy and paste mas effective

i_miss_sleep, mukhang gagayahin ko technique mo. Hehe. Im looking for generic robot treat boxes pero discontinued na sa oriental trading. I thought of buying of a cricut machine pero namamahalan ako. Hehe. So printer na rin gamitin ko... Thanks for sharing your DIY.

^Oh, last project ng son ko is to build a robot out of recyclable materials. Here's what we came up with, maybe you can get ideas:

just get a plain treat box, add googly eyes, tea lights and screws for ears. the hat and the nose came from empty liquid soap bottle.

^ hmm... plastic bottle ata ng ALL detergent yan? Meron ako dito pero puno pa. I never imagined it can be a robot. Pwede pala. Hehe.

I plan to make robots out of juice boxes para dual purpose na. Pwedeng display/centerpiece and drinks na. Tipid mode.

Hello mga sis..my youngest child will be celebrating her first birthday on december with strawberry shortcake as a theme...anong magandang party favors ma i suggest nyo na maganda both for boys and girls...tia..

^^ mdurano, so you're looking for generic favors, tama ba - Yung walang SS characters na naka print?

Sa boys i would suggest a green treat box (to distinguish from the girls' pink). With SS kasi i also imagine colors and flavors aside from the obvious pink, red and strawberry. So if i were to make a loot bag,  i might go with multi colored marshmallows, jelly-ace, ice-candies, m&m... Tapos coloring books, crayons, clays, rubber stamp set for non-edibles...  (And i'll add 1 pc of toy for boys talaga like a matchbox car, ball, lego IF i'll be adding a girly toy for the girls, just to even things up. Hehe)

Kulang ako sa creativity. Also im not so up to date with party thingies. hehe.. Im also curious with what others would suggest. 


Ps: pwede rin palang skittles and fruit stripe gum.

hindi ko lang nasunod sa laman ng loot bags kasi mahirap.
