ang opinion ko dito..mas gusto ko na medyo malaki laki na si baby kami yata at 6 or 7 months nagpa-pierce..kasi pag masyadong bata maliit pa yung ears minsan di kita ng pedia baka di pantay

my baby turned one last february and until now, her ears are not pierced. naghehesitate ako kasi mahilig humawak sa ears baka mahatak lang niya. we inquired with the pedia and 450 yung price.

my daughter is 17 weeks now but as per her pedia, super liit daw ng earlobe kaya sabi wait na lang muna. super excited na din ako. in fact, have 2 sterilized studs na for this

Hi, I'm going to have my baby's ears pierced this weekend.  How will I take care of her pierced ears so it won't get infected and hindi magsara ang butas?  When can I replace the hypoallergenic earrings with another pair?  TIA

My pedia's advice, just wipe with alcohol everyday tapos ikut ikutin yung earrings.

Everyday after bath, I use a cotton swab with alcohol and dab at the pierced holes para malinis lang. Tapos yun inikot-ikot ko din sya.

How long before you changed your daughters' earrings from what was used when she was pierced to another one?

Same here, I use q-tip dabbed at alcohol. Yung pedia na nag pierce ng tenga ng baby ko told me to put bactroban ointment 2 times for 3 days. Just to make sure lang daw na hindi ma-infect. Don't remove the earrings for 1 month, after non pwede ka na magpalit.

Her pedia advised me not to change the earrings kagad to prevent infection. I would have done so except that one day, the lock of her left earring fell off while I was bathing her and I couldnt find it anymore. So I changed her earrings to a pair of white gold ones kaso natanggal din the lock the same day. After 3 days sakto balik naman namin to her pedia so I bought another set of hypoallergenic earrings and that's what she's wearing now.

i agree mas better ang hypoallergenic earrings than the real gold earrings. madali matanggal yung lock. kasi kapag nakahiga ang baby may tendency naiipit ear nya then nagagalaw yung earrings. The hypoallergenic ones matigas yung lock. so lagi in place yung lock.

when I change my baby's earrings, i wipe the earrings with cotton moistened with alcohol. and i clean the ear din with alchol before putting on the new earrings.

My 6-month old is having her ears pierced on saturday.

Question lang. When you clean the holes with alcohol, do you remove the earrings? And panong iniikot-ikot? Sorry di ko ma-picture kasi.

^you just turn the studs in a clockwise/counter-clockwise directions. re the alcohol every month i remove my daughter earrings to thoroughly clean it with alcohol. this is on top of the weekly cleaning with alcohol.

^ good tip on the clear nail polish. Better ba to have regular pakaws and do that or use the de roskas pakaws recommended for kids' earrings?

Re alcohol, did i get it right?
Weekly, clean holes with alcohol. Do you remove the earrings din sa weekly alcohol?
Monthly, also clean earrings with alcohol?

nung na ear pierced yung bunso ko, 2xaday (1week) patakan ng alcohol (using cotton balls) yung butas and ikut ikutin yung earrings. after 1 week, once a day nalang after bath. no ointment needed as long as wala naman sugat or redness.

3yo na siya pero yun pa din ang earrings niya. like niya kasi yung star shape. :-) monthly cleaning ng earrings, tanggalin na yung earrings tsaka ko wipe ng cotton balls with alcohol. balik ko din agad sa ears niya.

When do you put in the nail polish?  Do you put in the nail polish on the stem then put on the lock?  Or pagkabit ng lock you put nail polish?
