Marose, Jen, nag-email na di ako kay Yan-Ple. i hope she replies soon. i told her she was very highly recommended by marose. 

my last post sa previous thread, i said that i was able to talk to my tita madre about the good shepherd party and she said mostly infants daw ang nandon, only a couple of toddlers so they may not appreciate a party. so i will donate na lang formula and diapers. i'm thinking we will request for cash gifts and maybe 10-15% of these will be used to buy the stuff to be donated.

pumayag naman si hubby as long as i don't go overboard.

candyland theme pa din ang gusto ko but since there will only be about 20 kids max, i'm not sure if getting the services of the "expensive" and sikat hosts is worth it. i might ask my cousin who owns an event management business to help me out with a host. what do you think? namamahalan ako sa 11k ni alex lagula eh. hehe.

for side entertainment, gusto ko pa din ng balloon twisting. and maybe a few food carts. merienda lang ito so hopefully, di masyadong mahal ang food. nag-inquire ako sa albergus. may menu sa website nila but no prices eh.

then i talked to my friend at cedar crest. will chck out the venue but surely, she'll sponsor us na. from the pictures lang, parang super laki.

but i'm also still considering cpk at greenbelt 5. depends pa on how much ang quote ni albergus.

ayan, nae-excite na ako. sana kaya lahat yan kahit 80k stretched budget na.

kim, how was katie's shoot last saturday?

mom ko gusto na umuwi talaga sa province.  but she said she'll stay until i find a reliable yaya with newborn experience. yung dati ko ng yaya na di ko kasundo kinuha ng sister ko pero di ko sinabi na ayaw ko sa kanya. sabi ko lang mas kailangan siya ng sister ko kasi nandito naman mom ko, sister ko walang ibang maaasahan kundi yayas so she needs more reliable and more experienced yayas. may ni-refer siya sa akin and bukas kakausapin ko. sana ok ito kasi di ko talaga alam papano na if my mom isnt here. eh ayaw ko naman siya pilitin to stay kasi may history of depression siya. baka ma-depress while she's here at baka maging mas malaking problema pa yan nyan. so my dad said kuha na daw talaga ko ng totoong yaya and let my mom go back home sa province whenever she wants to. then my mom naman said she'll come here for one week each month to visit. so ayan. sana ok yung bagong yaya.

Re weekends - yes, ngayon na may baby na, parang feeling ko laging bitin ang weekends 

Lisa - oh si YanPle din get mo, okay lang yan sis. Kaya lang medyo mabagal sumagot ha, pero okay naman. Actually, naghahanap na nga daw siya ng yaya ngayon so siguro pag meron na, mas updated na siya sa replies niya. Re Alex, wala pa ako ma-feedback sa kaniya eh kase 1st time ko din lang siya makuha and di ko pa din napapanood  My stand in host is, okay lang na mahal basta recommended kase yun ang bubuhay sa party. Pero sis, dami din naman host na mura pero magaling, check mo na lang sa Kid's parties thread. Alam ko, flooch or symond mas mura ng konti kay Alex. You're budget if mag-stretch ka sa 80K siguro is kaya pa, since merienda naman sayo. I inquired na kay Albregus, may menu ng sinend sakin, do you want me to send it to you? Medyo pricey menu nila, feeling ko like Via Mare na din aabutin eh. But, let's see if sinipag ako mag-mix and match (note na may additional 10% SC sila on topd of everything). So, pag di talaga PC sa venue ko, I'll go for Verleo na lang. Pero sobrang puspusang basa pa ito ano recommended na food kase mahirap na.

Lisa, nag-foot spa rin ako haha.  Sa Tips and Toes naman ako every other week din.   Dati, sa CANS Dela Rosa ako madalas kaso, since naka-pumps ako during weekdays hindi ako nakakapag-polish kaya weekends na lang ako pumupunta sa T and T.

Re, kung puro infants sa orphanage, do not get a host na.  Kainan na lang.

Jen, hindi ka magsisisi kay Alex!  Pareho lang sila ni Flooch ng rate, I believe.  Si Symond, nagmahal na rin, siguro baka 1 or 2k less lang ang TF niya compared sa TF nina Alex and Flooch.

Re Verleo, sis, ang magandang tanungin diyan ay si sis Gie, aka heaven_scent 102.  Suki yata siya ng Verleo so for sure alam niya kung ano ang pinakamasarap na dishes.

cuppie cake, anong real name mo?  Sorry hindi ko nakuha yata before.

For me, reliable si Apple (of Yan-ple).  Since binyag, sa kanya ako kumukuha ng party needs.  Heto at nagtatanong na naman ako re train standees (addict talaga).  Pero, mukhang final na.  Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ang gusto ng mga kids ko na theme at sa house lang daw kami.

Marose - I'll PM sis gie nga to ask. Nag-call na ako ulit sa Santuario and medyo malabo talaga. And besides, not so good talaga yung secretary dun (Ms. Alice), sobrang push siya with other caterers. Nakakainis!   Mukhang may posyente sa mga caterers! Ang concern ko ngayon sis yung table centerpiece ko, parang di ko type if balloons magiging centerpiece. Gumagawa din kaya si Yanple ng table centerpiace na parang kay Passion cooks? I am eye-ing for them talaga din not only for the food pero para sa upgrade ng decors sana  Maganda yang theme ng boys mo! Isa din yan sa pinagpilian ko dati na theme, Minnie mouse goes to candyland. 

Mas okay pa mag-post dito ngayon kesa dun sa kabilang thread, mukhang di na masyado active mga mommies dun. I wonder why

thanks, mommies for the get well wishes and inputs about sterimar!:) gumaling na si katie pero sakin nalipat ang ubo't sipon niya. LOL although nagbbm si ej now lang, parang nagkasipon na naman ata siya. ano ba yan? naghahawaan lang kaming dalawa.

lisa, the shoot was great. super nag-enjoy si katie sa flash ng camera at sa photographer niya! mga one hour din siguro kami sa studio mismo at hindi siya sinumpong at all. super smile at pabibo pa siya sa mga pictures. grabe, we can't wait to get the hard copies! eto nga si ej, stage father. nung pag-uwi namin sabi ba naman magpamember na lang daw kami sa picture company kasi sayang naman daw yung ibang pictures ni baby na hindi pinaprint. i'll upload the photos sa fb pag nakuha na namin..

muntik di matuloy yung shoot ni katie dahil nga sa sipon niya. tinext ako ng picture company nung friday night to ask kung tuloy ba daw kami the following day. sabi ko, i'll reconfirm ng saturday morning coz i need to observe muna if may sipon pa si baby. sa awa ng diyos, gumaling naman siya.

it was also katie's first time sa mall. nakakatawa itsura niya. ang laki ng mata niya while looking around. haha

lisa again, hindi ko din alam pano pumunta sa bambang but i have heard of that place a lot of times. somewhere in manila nga ata.

marose, si alex, excellent english naman siya noh? what else does he do other than hosting? kasi di ba there are other hosts who does balloon twisting, magic, etc.? if i can ask, around how much is his tf?

kwento ko lang nung saturday we joined a Kindermusik demo class sa Fort. ay kaloka! yung anak ko, hindi sumusunod sa activities, ikot lang sya ng ikot, tapos lahat ng toys na bigay ni Teacher Elaine (ball and egg shaker) ayaw isoli!!! frankly, ako yung napagod!! haha! naisip ko tuloy, late yata kami nag ganito. nainggit ako sa ibang moms na yung babies nila young pa, so hindi pa ganun kalakas and kalikot. meron dun parang 4 months pa lang, giggle ng giggle pag ni-swoosh.

Kim, Alex speaks English very well.  Hindi ka mapapahiya.  He used to work in a bank yata until he left the corporate world to venture into full-time hosting and magic.  He has balloon twisting and magic show, plus he facilitates games.  Kasama na rin ang sound system niya plus 2 assistants sa package.  Super worth it! 

I am not updated sa pricing ni Alex though.  Last 2008, 9k ang TF niya.

Mabilis ma-book si Alex so book early.  I booked him 6 months before the party.  Wala pa kong venue, I booked him na.  Same rate lang whether you book him thru a party planner or directly.  Minsan nga, cheaper pa to book thru a PP.

Kim - I booked Alex L for Y's 1st birthday. Bale, 11K na ang TF niya =)

Marose - if may dala ng sound system si Alex L, ibig sabihin ba nito di na ako kukuha nun sa venue? Ino-offer din kase ng santuario ang sound system, eh additional 1500 din yun.

Weng - mag 5 months na ang baby ko, do you think okay na mag-kindermusik na siya? About how young ba dapat sis kaya?

Jen, no need na to get sound system.  But just to be very sure, check mo if pareho or magkaiba ang sound system na sinasabi ng Santuario and kay Alex.  Hindi ako familiar sa techie stuff pero I remember hindi na ko kumuha ng iba pang sound system sa Valle 6 noong nag-first birthday ang babies ko.

Speaking of summer classes, my kids and I checked out the house where the swimming lessons in our village will be held.  Nice house!  And nice ang owner though hindi pa kami nag-meet, pinapasok niya ko sa house niya.  Sa April 4 mag-start ang swimming lessons with Coach Sherwin of Ateneo swimming team teaching the kids.  Ang gusto ko dito sa amin, aside from mas mura ang fee, mas konti ang students kasi private house ang venue.  Maximum of 5 students per time slot lang.  Saka, within walking distance lang from our house.

Hay, gusto ko pa rin ng football lessons especially when I learned that yung inaanak ni hubs na ka-age ng kids ko, baka ipag-footy lessons.

I'm at work on a dayshift until Wednesday and I had to commute, shux, na-culture shock naman ako sa traffic and init hehe. I'm happy lang na at least Zoe and I will get to sleep together for 3 consecutive nights, priceless!

Regarding party hosts, I'm thinking if I should get an in-house host from Shakey's or look for other options. Bast ayoko lang ng clowns, I'm scared of clowns

Marose, kung naging boy ang baby namin, si hubby naka-plan na magfu-football lessons sya kase hubby used to play football in LSGH when he was in gradeschool hehe.
