Sa UP ako nagwowork. As "non-UP contractual" meaning no benefits haha! Hmm hintay hintay lang maging "UP Contractual" or much better, regular. Election ban kasi kaya bawal daw magbigay ng item

hanggang kelan election ban? gusto ko kasi magwork sa government, csc eligible na ko but no experience yet since i graduated 3 years ago.

kung magsariling sikap ba ko like walang backer qualified kaya ako somehow? kasi if not makikigo with the flow na lang ako, backer system. balak ko kasi dito sa LGU samin kasi friend ng tito ko yung head sa admin. kung di ako swertehin dun baka sa BIR na lang since cousin ng lola ko yung Revenue District Officer ( which makes him my lolo )

sis try mong mag-apply sa mga govt agencies. malay mo may maswertehan ka at di na kailangan ng backer at the same time apply ka rin sa may kilala ka.

After waiting for many months, finally mabibigay na ang PBB namin this week. kayo ba mga sissses na-receive nyo na rating and pbb nyo?

We got our PBB first week of June pa lang.

Hello mga sis, kamusta na iyong mga sis natin na nag-aantay sa government.
I passed the Civil service exam may 2012 pa, i applied to 4 agencies since then. Actually iyong last  2 application this month ko lang pinasa. I am really hoping and praying na makapasok na sa gobyerno kahit walang backer. May relatives ako sa na pwede mag-backer pero i feel na ayaw nila talaga magrekomenda. Umaasa na lang ako sa tadhana at kay Lord

Need po ba na passer ka na ng civil service bago ka matanggap sa government?

karamihan sa mga permanent positions kailangan passer ka ng civil service pero kung contractual hindi required.

I am working in a government as a nurse.

SG 16 ako. So roughly, 26 plus din yung sahod. Minus tax.

Pero magaan lang ang work.

May days lang talaga na super busy pero mas marami ang days na chill lang hehe

Ako SG 14 sa ating State U. Okay na rin kasi malapit lang sa house and libre ang tuition ko. Plus factor, hindi gaanong stressed sa work, paminsan-minsan lang. Hehe.

Hi. I was happy na makakita ng thread like this. I am currently working as an Executive Assistant in one of the Field Offices of DA. Actually, I graduated lang last year. BS Agri course ko so talagang in line sa napasukan ko. Actually, 'di talaga ako nag-apply dito. The Head of the Office is actually ka-baranggay ko and she saw a tarpaulin (pinagawan kasi ako ng baranggay namin kasi I graduated with Latin honors), then she called my parents and asked if I would be willing to work for her. So 'yun na nga I got hired.

I would like to say na totoo talaga na palakasan system sa gov't. It's a tradition na. But I believe na may mga circumstance din naman na mahihire ka kahit wala kang kakilala, as long as qualified ka and hiring sila. My FB friend nga na nagpasa lang ng resume, she got accepted agad.

Technically, I'm CS eligible na (because of Latin honors). Contractual pa lang ako kasi magtake pa lang ako ng Licensure Exam on October. Pero once na makapasa, baka may maibigay pa na item.

Oo nga pala, although it's true na madaling makapasok kapag may kakilala ka, unless you are qualified and may available na item, never kang mapepermanent. Sobrang higpit ng CSC when it comes to promotion. They even have the Three Grade Limitation on Promotion.

IMO,


Pros:
-You will be helping the country grow (as opposed to helping a billionaire become a gazillionaire )
-Security of tenure
-Benefits and other incentives
-Weekend offs
-Travel and trainings
-Opportunity to take graduate studies for FREE

Cons:
-Politics (this is what I hate. Most bosses are forced to sacrifice life principles, ugh.)
-Promotion will depend upon the available position + based on length of service (as opposed to performance)


Sa hiring naman, my advice is to always check websites for posting of vacant positions.
