anyone into lomography? I'm thinking of buying my first lomo cam. But I can't decide on which one.

Can anyone advice?

i have 2 cameras lang. holga and diana mini. my first camera is a holga kase cheaper sya kesa diana or lca. kaya lang since 120 film yung gamit ko sa holga, mas mura naman yung mga films ko for my diana mini since 135 film yun.

anyone into lomo here? im very interested kasi with this. madami na kasing may dslr ngayon eh, so i think mas okay for me yung lomo. i'll buy my first camera next week, eximus ultra wide and slim. sana okay.

Parang may Lomo thread na dito before pero napush back na ata. Hello after two years ngayon lang ako nakapag-GT!

My first lomo camera is a Holga 120CFN which I bought in 2009, followed by a Vivi IC. Then I brought back to life our then-25-year-old SLR. Okay sya nung una pero nastuck up na talaga sya. I also experimented on expired disposable cameras, even waterproof ones! Early last year ko huling ginamit yung Holga, Viv and yung isang inipon kong expired disposable for a prenup raket. Nagustuhan naman sya ng kliyente ko. Ngayon kasi medyo ngaragers sa work kaya walang time makapagshoot; if I may also add some of the best medium-format films are too expensive, if not phased out. Please correct me if I'm wrong though. Pero nandyan pa rin naman ang mga online suppliers, alibi ko lang yun para di ako masyado gumastos hehe

no need to invest in these na since iphone released the lomo features.. countless shots can be taken as well... well its just my opinion kasi you dont need to bring many cameras na.... ill invest na lang talaga siguro sa dslr

like ko yung apps na yun ng iphone kaya lang digital yun eh. lomography is analogue talaga. iba yung satisfaction at excitement ko kapag nakikita ko yung mga developed films unlike sa hipstamatic or the likes. tsaka madaming mga "happy accidents" na di kaya iproduce ng iphone apps.

mga sis, do you know where i can buy lomo camera? i'm planning on giving it as a gift for my bf..he has the holga na..any suggestions? yung pasok lang sa budget na 3k hehe!!! kuripot eh..=) ---i'm planning on buying him a diana--feedbacks on this cam?

i can't seem to find na kasi this site who sells lomo cam na medyo cheap ng konti.... there shop is somewhere in cubao..

it's not ohshoot and ms jenny and lomo..ph

I'm thinkin of a diana mini, pero sa reviews the image when printed is not that sharp, blurry daw. Is this true? Or tama lang? Not too blurry , but not that sharp din?

^^beady: i have diani mini and holga ... kung icocompare ko yung pics nila, medyo grainy yung sa diana unlike sa holga ma malinaw talaga. i thought at first baka yung film lang pero madami na din ako natry na film, same quality yung mga pictures ko sa diana. you can check my lomo blog, sa signature ko.. makikita mo yung difference ng mga kuha ko sa holga at diana mini ko. you'll see what i mean

^kaisha: diana for me! para saken kase maganda lang yung fisheye for certain shots. nakakasawa kung lahat ng pic puro ganun. if you're going to buy diana pala (not the yung mini ha) you can buy various lenses like yung fisheye. that's what i did. kakaorder ko lang ng mga lenses for my holga including a fisheye lens. excited na nga ako gamitin yun eh.

I love lomo and film photography too!

Re-Diana Mini - it's really meant to take 'soft' images for that 'dreamy' look. I like the Diana Mini for the convenience of using 135mm film to produce square formatted pics. I also have the Diana Hong Meow, I use it mostly for the sprocket effects still with 135 film. I rarely use 120 film with it nowadays.
Going back to the Diana Mini, I don't use the half frame format for this. I prefer the Golden Half lomocam for half frames, mas maganda siya :d

^i dont use half frame din sa diana mini.

although mas gusto ko yung sharpness ng holga, sobrang covenient naman ng diana mini dahil nga 135 film ang gamit, mas madaming shots kaysa 120 format. tsaka gusto ko yung physical look ng diana mini, kakaiba kase eh. pag nilabas mo, mapapatingin talaga mga tao sa camera at this dslr world.

i just got my la sardina, first roll of film when developed is blank, bakit ganun? i turned the lens, and followed instruction, anyone here also have the same toy camera?

La sardina afaik has a fixed aperture. Try checking the shutter speed, might be the culprit.

La Sardina has two fixed shutter speeds. One is normal which means no matter how long you press it, fixed yun shutter speed. The normal shutter speed setting for La Sardina is 1/100 of a second. The other one is bulb which keeps the shutter open until you release it. The longer you press it, the more light gets in. So kung sunny ang weather at nag bulb setting ka, malaki ang chance na blank yung results mo.

The shutter speed is dependent on the lighting. Kung cloudy, you might need to use the bulb, pero super quick lang ang press. A flash could help compensate din. Pag sunny naman, just use the normal shutter speed.

Just continue practicing. What's fun with lomo are the surprise results you see out of every roll.

ako naman, nagtataka din ako dati dahil puro black pictures ko sa holga. yun pala di ko natanggal yung camera lens
