My husband where in Puerto Galera just last June 1-3. PG based on my research is a party place but also has island tours and a lot of extreme activities. It was our first time to go there so we left our 3yr old son home. We felt super guilty but we both know that this trip is a much much needed destressor for both of us na sobrang toxic na from work and wanting to break the routine. Galera delivered, we enjoyed to the MAX!
Here were our expenses and my comments:
Accommodation - Bangera Inn - Php 1,250/night X 2 nights = Php 2,500
A/C room good for 2pax, wifi, H&C shower, no bfast - really nice CR! and room is cute and neat. can accommodate 4persons pa. Value for money tong place na to.
Bus - from Alabang to Batangas Port - Php 137 X 2 = Php 274
Boat - MV Brian - Green Voyager - Round Trip tickets Php 500 + Env. Fee/Terminal Fee Php 80= Php 580 X 2 = Php 1,160 - Magaling naman ang Driver especially nung pabalik na kami from Batangas Port kahapon, sobrang maalon, nakakahilo pero we just prayed and God was good to keep our voyage safe.
Massage - c/o Ate Cel (pls tex 0999-7657408) - Php 200 + passway to Bangera Inn Php 50 = Php 250 X 2 = Php 500 - I was really careful not to talk to the vendors offerring the activities, mga paninda at massage services kasi diba minsan tatagain ka nila kung di ka marunong tumawad at hindi ka mag-research before your travel. Swerte kasi when she approached me, ok naman ang vibes ko sa kanya kasi di sya yung tipong mangungulit, tska madiskarte sya kasi kukunin nya lang yung cell# mo at itetex ka nya if interested ka at kung di mo pa gusto magpa-massage. Magreply ka na lang if what time mo gusto at dadating sya. Since mahiyain yung husband ko, napurnada yung gusto ko na sa beach magpamasahe, plus the fact na umuulan kaya pinapunta na lang namin sya at yung kasama nya sa room namin sa Bangera Inn. Soft massage lang ang request namin since first time lang kami magpamasahe. Ok na ok naman ang pakiramdam namin after, tska 1hr whole body massage talaga. Recommended ko sya.
Tour to Tamaraw Falls and Aplayang Munti - Trycycle Php 600 + Php 150 tip = Php 750 + Entrance to Tamaraw Falls (30X2)=60 + Entrance to Aplayang Munti (10 X2)=20 = PHP 830
Since madiskarte talaga si Ate Cel, she asked me if merun na kong contact sa tour. Sabi ko wala pa kasi ang mahal naman, trycle lang sa Tamaraw Falls, 800 agad! Sabi nya, ganun daw talaga kasi 200 ang commission ng nag-alok at 600 ang bayad sa trycycle. Pero since sila ang may-ari ng trycycle, 600 na lang daw ang bigay nya sa kin. Tapos dadaan pa sa Aplayang Munti (secluded beach with Virgin Mary), pwede rin mag swimming. Hihintayin ka ng driver. Ang ganda sa Tamaraw Falls, first time ko rin kasi makakita ng falls at makapag-swimming sa baba. On the way, napapangiti ako sa sobrang ganda ng view, kasi may paakyat yung papunta sa tamaraw falls. I was praising GOD for such natural beauty. Bigla ko na-realize how important we should all help out to preserve yung environment natin.
Ang ganda rin sa Aplayang Munti, secluded na beach with huge piles of stone sa isang side ng beach na may virgin mary. Its so peaceful there, wala ring waves, sarap lang mag-swimming. Ang linaw ng tubig kesa sa white beach and instead of sand, mga pebbles ang nandun.
Buti na lang di ko na tinuloy yung gusto ko originally to commute without a guide kasi hindi ko sana na-experience ang Aplayang Munti. Tapos napaka-dalang pala ng dumadaan na jeep pabalik sa bayan. God is Good!
Food - every meal would cost Php 100-Php 150 per person. Ang daming makakainan. We tried yung mga nabasa ko dito sa GT, Food Trip sa Galera, Galerian (not sure), VM Resort, Cafe Angeline's. We tried the usual tapsilog meals, mga grilled pork, squid, sinigang, ensalada. Masarap naman, Solve na kami dun, di naman kami maarte sa food. Sayang lang, I was not able to try the Italian resto sa dulo ng white beach. May next time pa naman =)
Night Life is so cool in Galera! Siguro mababaw lang for the others pero I have not been to bars for the longest time and have failed to see the fire dancers on our trip to Bora so sobrang aliw ako dito. 2 straight nights watching fire dancers and really talented and beautiful gays of Mikko's Bar. Champion! I even recorded their performances kasi laugh trip talaga!
Buti na lang, dito pa rin kmi sa White Beach nagbook kasi I was thinking of Tamaraw Beach resort which is on ther side (aninuan) pa. Mas mura kasi dun ng Php 250-Php 450 kesa sa Bangera Inn. Pero I'll be so far to the entertainment center of White Beach naman.
Souvenirs - Tshirts, Sandos, Keychains, Ref Magnets, Kakanin, Shell display - Php 1500
Total Expenses, including mga groceries, misc stuff, plus all the exp above, naka almost Php 9,000 kaming 2.
It was a great experience kahit scary nung pauwi na, so malamang uulit kami kasama na yung son ko =)
