Mumps

My son has mumps and when we brought him to the doctor (general medicine, because no available pedia that time) he just told us to give him paracetamol for the fever and plenty of fluids. When I asked him what can we do about the swelling, he just said, "let it be, it will eventually disappear by itself." wag lang daw magkaron ng complications.
Just wanna ask if ganun ba talaga yun. It's just the 2nd day and my son keeps on complaining about the on/off pain and the swelling. nilagyan lang namin ng tina as advised by my lola. hindi ba kailangan ng antibiotic or something? how would we know if may complications?

My 4 year old girl nagkaron ng mumps thursday night sa left.The pain lasted until saturday pero bearable naman nya kasi naglalaro pa. Then saturday night yun right naman. Wala ng pain yun left nung Sunday. The pain daw wil lasted 2-3 days kung malakas resistence ng bata. yun pamamaga 1-2weeks bago bumalik sa dati shape ng face.

Di pa kami mahilig magpaconsult sa dr. Pag may sinat sya 1 day [textspeak!].Turmeric capsules iniinom nya. everday morning malunggay capsule and in evening vit,c and garlic oil. Yan [textspeak!] po supplements ng 2 girls ko.

Wala po talaga antibiotic na iniinom nung nagsearch ako sa net.

thanks sis. tomorrow would be the 1st week na may mumps sya. 4 days na syang walang lagnat pero mejo bloated pa din. worried ako kasi he'll have his special exam on monday-tuesday. nung 18-19 kasi final exam nila e that time talagang painful pa daw. pwede na kaya sya lumabas. maybe lagyan ko na lang sya ng face mask para hindi sya makahawa.
