^Not naked, my cubicles na to shower. Wala ako nakita na naked during my trip.

Cant remember if required reservation, but I reserved beforehand.

Tbh didnt really enjoyed blue lagoon, dami kasi tao (at mahal!).

^^ In my case only one cubicle lang yung may screen, the rest were open - no curtains or anything, tapos walls lang on either side. And everyone showered naked din (actually locker room pa lang everyone was completely undressed na) pero it's not like anyone's looking at anyone naman. Baka it's different kasi mostly Japanese and Caucasians nakasabay ko, so parang wala lang sa kanila yung ganun. 

I'd recommend prior reservations, depende sa season nagkakaubusan ng tickets. We enjoyed our stay naman pero hindi din ganun kadami tao when we went (early morning until lunch).

Thanks! Hindi na lang kami mag Blue Lagoon, baka hindi rin maenjoy ng anak ko. 2 Whole Days lang meron kami so baka Golden Gircle Tour and City Tour na lang.

^If you only have 2 days, I suggest you do Golden Circle and South Coast. Super liit ng reykjavik and there isn't much to see. Parang 1 main street lang sila. You can get a feel of Reykjavik when you walk around for a couple of hours. You can do this when you get back from tour, or after dinner you can walk back to your hotel and get a feel of it.

^yung nabasa ko kasi is 11-12 hours yung South Coast Tour, baka di kayanin ng 8yrs old at mapagod. Ganun katagal ba talaga?

Iceland is love! Nothing I have ever imagined. It's beautiful and looking back, I wish I was not so intent on looking for the northern lights, because it has so much more to offer! Take it all in and spend as much time savoring each site. I wish I did that, and didn't rush from one spot to another. Pagod kami sobra from driving, but I wouldn't have it any other way naman. :-)

Booking a tour group vs DIY...

Malaki ba matitipid if you're going diy, booking the tours once you reach there?

For 10D7N tour, kasama air fare, Iceland northern lights with golden circle, south coast, north Iceland, city tour, hunting tour, skaftafell, blue lagoon, daily breakfast, costs around 170k/person. Dinner day 1 lang and last day kasama.  Is that reasonable? Or comparable sa nagastos nyo for Iceland only?

I'd rather go to Iceland lang kasi for us to appreciate the place. Thinking of going around Feb/Mar 2018.

^ Kinda expensive based on my estimate. I'm doing 4 countries including Iceland for 14D13N and looking at PHP 152,000/person only all-in including all flights, train, airbnb accommodation, tours, and food.

I would highly recommend that you do DIY especially if you are planning on staying in Iceland for 10 days. We went there this year first week of April and super convenient that we have our own car. The places are far kasi. Reykjavik to Jokulsarlon is 12-14 hours R/T, depending how good you are at driving. In our experience, it was April and there was still heavy snowfall. We left at 11am and nakabalik kami midnight na.

One thing to also note, eating in Iceland is extremely expensive! Rent an apartment if you can so you can save na on meals like breakfast or dinner instead of eating outside. To give you perspective on how much their food is, 1 whole pizza will cost you from 1500 (super basic) to 3500 (really good pizza). A bowl of noodle will set you back at 1500. I think that's also were I had the most expensive adobo dish to date hahaha! There is this resto kasi in Laugavegur where most crews are Pinoy esp the chef. Kaya if you can see from most blogs, most tourists eat only hotdog kasi yun lang yata affordable.

Oh! If you want to rent a car, make sure you also buy their insurance esp the sand and gravel insurance. PM me na lang if you have more questions.

If you want to visit Iceland, don't just go around town. Iceland is special because of the countryside. Mas ma-eenjoy nyo Iceland if you travel away from Reykjavik because honestly, there's not much to see there. Angliit nya.

Hi Sis! We did it purely DIY too, drove our way through Iceland.  On our last night in Reykjavik (after spending a week  South to East of Iceland), we did book a tour, through our hotel. It was an Aurora tour, which runs almost every night anyway. Other than that, didn't book anything else. This was in Feb this year.

Iceland is my fave country hands down. Ibang level sya talaga :)

My friends and I will be traveling to Iceland end of October and we are super excited! It's a DIY trip around Iceland for 6 days. We already made reservations for the Blue Lagoon and we only availed of the standard package.  Our worry is the shower situation. I've been reading a lot of blogs and they said that there are now private cubicles with frosted glass. Is that correct?

Anyone who have been to the Blue Lagoon recently?

^ ito din yung dilemma ko sa Blue Lagoon  so hindi na lang ko sumama sa mom ko. Naghintay lang kami ng anak ko sa restaurant kung saan nakikita mismo yung pool. So tagapicture kami ng nanay ko. hehe!

Pero sabi ng mom ko, sayang daw sana pumasok na kami kasi may private cubicle naman daw. Last May lang yung trip namin.

Yes there are now frosted glass cubicles in the shower area. Careful lang of your robes and towels. Mine got stolen. Imagine going out of the cubicle naked and demanding that the staff replace my stolen robe and towel. 😭😭😭
