we celebrated our daughter's first birthday last September. sabi namin we won't have it catered nalang para mas makamura chaka para di narin problema yung venue. turned out our budget from 60k ballooned to 100k+  to think na sa max's restaurant nalang namin ginawa. kaloka talaga! since we're based in singapore, puro online transactions lang and utos lang from relatives ginawa ko. the party turned out well naman although it could have been better if i did the organization myself and i think mas makakapamili ako and makakamura. anyway, it was still a memorable day for our family. sakit nga lang sa bulsa!

sabi ko balik ako sa thread na ito kapag finalized ko na budget for my baby's bday on Feb 2..

anyways from 160K original, naging 270k ang nasa excel ko pero dahil over budget na yan masyado, nag tanggal ako ng ilan nice to haves.. and ngayon final is around 220k hanggang dun nalang talaga.

I will update once again with suppliers pag tapos na bday ni baby.

kaya nga eh. di pa talaga kasama diyan yung mga maliliit na nilalabas nating pera na hindi natin napapansin. yung friend ko nagpaparty lang recently for her daughter, inabot daw siya ng 450k. grabe parang sobrang tinaga siya ng PP niya!

Yes sis.. mahirap talaga.. pinag isipan din namin mabuti kung anong klaseng party ba talaga gusto namin for her... Magastos na talaga magpa party ngayon. Yung ibang kilala ko e they can spend even half a million for a 1st birthday alone. Case to case basis din talaga.

Happy ako sa naging decision namin and im very positive sa magiging outcome ng party ng baby namin.

i think nakakalula nga mga expenses naten sa birthdays ng mga kids.. Isa lang anak ko he's turning 7 this january..I admit nagsplurge ako. Every yr di kami nagpaparty puro kain sa labas #kain ng crabs sa beach #buy ng cake sa mga classmates sa school. This time nagpromise kase ako na bibigyan ko sya ng birthday party lalo na alam na nya. Pasasalamat din namen na naging maayos paglaki ng anak namen lalo na based kami dito sa US walang yaya laging kami lang... Masaya lagi anak ko..I think deserve naman ng mga kids kung ano bibigay naten mapa mahal or hindi...My son deserves a birthday party kase among 150 kids he graduated as 1st honor.

omg! 450k for a kiddie party? parang budget na sa wedding. kami naman from original na 50k naging 80k I think hindi talaga maiiwasang magballoon at magover sa budget lalo na pag maraming nakikitang nice to add sa party nakakatuwa rin kasi magplan ng party lalo na pag nakita mo sa pictures lahat ng pinaghirapan mong iprepare for months

My daughter's 1st birthday is on jan.13 pa.. invitations na lang ang kulang.. though ayoko magspend ng mahal dito dahil itatapon lang din naman ng iba.. So far eto na ang break down..

And laging sinasabi ng Dad ko na kailngan magtipid kasi giyera na, ang lagi kong sagot is " Kaya nga kung giyera na, atleast maranasan manlang natin ito." hahaha.. At saka ang susunod naman is 7th birthday na.. so keri lang..
