Had our my daughters 1st birthday party last Saturday, and thank God it was a success, well excluding that incident that our 2nd entertainment/show was a no show.
Here are our expenses, which I may say is all worth it.

May nabbasa ako [textspeak!] tips nila can range from 500-5k. Depende siguro sa work na ginawa during the bday. ;-)

^^i give 500 sa waiters and 1k sa head waiter pag PC ang kinukuha ko. Sa decorator atbp na suppliers wala ako tip. Pag magustuhan ko sila, nirerefer ko sa friends para sa personal at corporate events nila. Parang nakakahiya kasi magbigay ng tip sa host or sa balloon decorator. Ako lang naman ito of course iba2x ang tao kaya if type magbigay go lang ng go

Ok thank you for that info... Yes, kahiya to give tip to hosts etc. I'm thinking of just giving them gifts nalang.  Is it 500/per waiter? or all of them hati na w/ the 500? I'm getting PC din kc and I asked how many waiters will serve at the party... My AE said that 8 waiters and 3 kitchen staff daw...

How about the photog and his back-up? Do you give tip to them? Sorry ha for the questions... I really have no idea kc... Thank you!

^oh dami pala waitstaff. Small parties lang kasi kami max na ang 100pax everytime we get PC. Mga 4 lang waiters at 1 head waiter kaya ganun bigay ko. 3K budget ko sa tip. Siguro 200/waiter sis pwede na pero depende naman yan gaano ka natuwa sa sinerbisyo during ng event mo sa totoo lang kahit sa photog wala akong tip kaya d kita masasagot dyan (ibang sis siguro here can help you sa part na yan). Hindi rin kasi ako nagbibigay ng gifts

Kung gusto mo mayroon maiabot sa suppliers siguro 1k is ok? Or maliit yun? Kaya sis ayaw ko magbigay ng tip kasi maistress pa ako sa kakaisip ano yun amount na ok na d sila maoffend na yun "lang" naibigay. Though of course sasabihin din na d naman ganun, na maaappreciate nila kahit anong ibigay. Para iwas sa kakaisip, d ako nagbibigay.

Background:  a GT and SP find.  Since limited lang ang budget namin, pinag-tyagaan kong maghanap ng mura but nice feedback sa mga forums.  And luckily, there are a lot of good reviews about Ms. Lhen sa Smart Parenting and Girl Talk. 
Pros:
- Magaan agad ang loob ko sa kanya the way pa lang
sya sumagot sa text and emails (I don’t know why).  Siguro dahil very polite ang tono nya sa text.
- Mabenta sa mga bata ang magic show nya.
Cons:
- She didn’t ask for a downpayment and didn’t have any contract.  At first nag-worry ako pag di sya dumating sa party, wala akong habol.  Pero I just hold on sa mga reviews na inisa-isa ko sa forum and of course prayer  kaya I still I got her.
- Yung games and puppet show hindi ganun ka-benta, unlike her magic show.  Maybe because yung
sound system is not that good and di sya masyadong maiintindihan.

Sa school party/merienda ng daughter ko last year, just prepared chix and spag and brought her cake lang.  Spent 3K only.

This year, house party lang and budgeting 20K.  Kasi OA magluto ang mom ko ng handa. hehe
