we have Eastwest bank.

then lately lang yung payroll ni hubby pina convert nya to current account, so may check na kasama yung ATM payroll nya

I called their main office sa Shaw ang requirements lang nila, proof of billing sayo naka name and 2ID's daw. Kahit wala kang account sa kanila.

BPI Family naman, mabilis din basta daw may landline and ID and 5k and may account kahit sa BPI kahit hindi family, approved na..yun lang yung unang booklet mo walang munang name.

^ PNB Budget checking yan sis?

According to their website the maintaining balance is at P2,500.

However, the catch is, you are allowed 3 negotiated checks each month free of charge.

In addition, mahal din ang service fees nila, particularly yung dormancy and below the minimum balance fees.

talaga sis? 2007 pa checking acct. ko sa kanila. yun ang sinabi sa akin when i opened it.
sure ba yan sis na 2,500 na ngayon maintaining balance?

wala naman sinabi sakin bout 3checks only, parang unli naman

hindi ko din alam dormancy fee coz am using it monthly for our house mortgage and fitness first kaya gamit ko talaga hehe

maganda kac sa kanila they mail you evry month ur SOA,dati kasi sa allied bank kelangan ko pa puntahan branch personally just to get my stement of acct.

Pero yung sa iyo PNB probably chose to retain your account so they won't lose your business.

Nandito yung sa PNB, so I'm sure it's P2,500 maintaining balance at 3 negotiated checks lang ang free nila.

There's no checking account listed I could see that's similar to your account that you have described.

I never asked though sa chinabank and landbank. But sa bpinagtanong ako ganun daw talaga.

Hihi

^ You mean transfer them through online banking?

But same is true with my BPI account and Unionbank as long as you have online banking access to them. You can transfer funds easily - in real time.

I also don't get it bakit yung iba gusto nila ganun.

Kahit walang account name, the check gets accepted and cleared anyway.

Doon sa BPI where I've opened my checking account, I was given only 10 pcs lang naman without account name to start issuing checks right away. At least you get to issue checks agad without waiting for the 50-pcs checkbook with the account name which takes around 2 weeks to complete.

I paid individuals and businesses/institutions with those checks. Encashed or cleared, walang naging problema.

I love BPI. I have a checking account with them for around 5 years na. You can access your account online so you don't actually need so much to record manually your checks. :) I know other banks have this as well... pero happy na ako sa BPI eh.

^ Agree.

What I like best is that you can encash any BPI check at any BPI branch nationwide FREE without needing to go to the home branch of the checking account. If you deposit a BPI check into your BPI savings or checking account, then it clears real-time too. This makes it more convenient if you are issuing checks to individuals who do not have much time for banking.

Yup, they just mail the statements together with the scanned copy of the checks. Other banks would rather have the account holder pickup the statements from the bank - and I heard there's a penalty if they didn't claim that.

The P10,000 minimum (for regular BPI branches) or P5,000 minimum (for BPI Family) is worth all these features!

I have mine at PBCom where 2k lang opening and maintaining balance. I have it for almost 4 years na. Plan ko transfer slowly yung checking account ko to either BPI or MetroBank wala kasing online facility ang PBCom. I want to fully maximize din kasi my account, such as building financial credibility. PBCom has no credit card, auto & housing loans, etc (at least in my branch) so parang wala lang yung pera mo doon. Unlike in big banks where you can avail of pre-approved CCs, loans, for example, if you have stayed long enough sa kanila.

Okay din kaya sa Metrobank? I have my CC with them (a secured one) but Im seriously considering BPI for hassle-free online funds transfer of my online earnings.

I haven't tried Metrobank though. I agree, di gaanong ok ang customer service sa kanila. I only have a savings account with them just to keep some extra money.

Do banks conduct CI pa ba before they approve your application for a checking account or is the process similar lang when you apply for a savings account? Thank you! :)

If you have BPI checking account, can you encash it to BPI Family? or to BPI only?

Tapos after
