I just would like to share with you the details of Roan's  (h2b) recently-concluded
Confirmation at San Miguel Church. For those who have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation, note that this is one of the wedding documents the parish (where your wedding will take place) will require you to submit three (3) months prior to your wedding date.

Since Roan will be in Manila only for 60 days (he arrived mid-December), I made sure that he completes this while he's here. Anyway, if you're planning to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at San Miguel Church, you may find these pointers helpful:

*There are two confirmation schedules weekly: Thursdays (2:30PM) and Sundays (10:00AM).

*Walk-ins are accommodated; no need to call for reservation.

*Come an hour earlier than preferred schedule for registration and orientation.

Note that if you choose to attend the Thursday schedule like we did, the Parish Office opens at 1:00PM.

*It is advisable to come in white since the Sacrament of Confirmation is a Renewal of Faith, but you will still be accommodated if you don't.

*Receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) beforehand.

Ensure to bring the following:

*Original Copy of Baptismal Certificate
*One (1) Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate
*Birth Certificate (office did not require Roan of this, but bring it anyway just in case)
*At least one (1) sponsor (ninong or ninang); a pair of ninong and ninang is unnecessary. For sponsor proxies, however, please ensure that you know your sponsors' complete name and home address since this will be required during registration.
*Pen
*Registration Fee (Php 630.00 as of writing)

Others:

*Make sure that you take heavy breakfast or heavy lunch because the whole activity lasted almost half a day.
*Bring candies to avoid falling asleep during the homily and/or passing out from hunger (if you failed to do the former).

Yup.. tumawag na sya sa Edsa Shrine.. yun lang down daw mga computer records nila so by monday pa malalaman if maybrecord nga. ang tagal naman 3 days..

nung nagpa-kumpil kami ni h2b sa San Miguel Church last year, ako naka-confess, pero si h2b hindi na, kasi kinulang na sa time. pero ang ending is natuloy paren yung kumpil namen and we also got our certificates by the end of the day.

^Not sure kung merong kumpil sa Easter Sunday. Tawagan mo na lang sila Sis para sure. Ang alam ko di sila nakakaaccommodate ng confession before the kumpil since onti lang ang pari dun, better do it before and from your church na lang para ok na on the day.

Tama, for marriage purposes dapat. Ito din naman kasi requirement ng church na pagkakasalan.

mga sis...same sched parin ba ang kumpil sa San Miguel.? every thursday afternoon tama ba? paupdate naman...pauwi na kasi kami ni h2b...need din niya pakumpil. tia.

Up ko lang this question, baka sakali makatulong sa ibang sisses. Pwede umulit magpa kumpil. kasi si BIL, nawala yung records nya, nagpakumpil nalang sila ulit sa Quiapo church. On the spot nakumpilan naman agad sya. Mag isa nga lang sya nun eh. Though kinumpilan sya dun mismo sa church kung sya nag kumpil.

And yes, confession is a requirement din. Usually during seminars sa confirmation, pinag coconfess na yung  kukumpilan. Wala naman proof or document kung mag kukumpisal ka, pero syempre, nandun narin naman kayo, mag confess nalang.
