quick question lang regarding confirmation certificate
im planning to attend at San Miguel church near Malacanang
do i have to call to inform them?(nasa abroad kasi ako) or punta na lang ako on the day of event, let's say 2hours before the sched time para makapag ready sa registration.
as of now, ang naresearch ko pa lang na requirements are
Birth certificate with FMPO
600php
ninang/ninong

bring your baptismal certificate too just in case...to prove that you're a catholic. i also remember that they asked for a 2x2 picture yata or 1x1.

hubby had his kumpil also here (dito rin kasi church wedding namin) they have kumpil schedule every Sunday at 10 am. Kumpil with mass na yon. you're right, punta ka nlang earlier in order to register. because they have to prepare the certificate earlier para after the mass and kumpil, ibibigay na nila.

hi sis! i suggest you call them or atleast have someone to call them para mairegister ka. i'll be having my confirmation this sunday at quiapo church. not sure sis ha if all churches have the same requirements and policies pero sa quiapo church kasi, within the week, dapat magparegister ka or kahit sinong magregister for you tapos pwde ka na magpakumpil by sunday. my mom registered on my behalf and brought the following: birth cert and baptismal cert with the annotation "for confirmation purposes". hth!

^ sis sa church kung san ka bininyagan then your Birth Cert. sa NSO po.. you can request it online or over the phone..

Sis nag-inquire na kami sa San Miguel church dati kasi dyan din namin balak magpa-kumpil. Just bring your birth and baptismal cert with Ninong 2 hours before the event. That's it according to the person in charge there.

^wow, ayos pala dun sa san miguel. i didn't know na nagkukumpil pala dun, kala ko sa san sebastian and quiapo lang. thanks for the info. gaano katagal kaya bago makuha yung confirmation certificate sa kanila? sa quiapo kasi after a week pa, eh naghahabol na kami ng requirements namin..

I think sisses, you can find the details here for San Miguel Parish in Manila. Same here, hindi pa din ako nakukumpilan but I got na may Birth Cert and Baptismal Cert with annotation na "for confirmation purposes" last year pa.

sharks - sis, not all parishes can accommodate confirmation. Better check with your prospect parish first if they can do it or else sa nearest parish sayo ka na lang magpakumpil po.

Hi sis.. as far as I know, talagang churches and parishes conduct seminar prior to the confirmation rites. It varies nga lang on the schedule. Some do the seminar on a separate day/week while others like sa San Miguel and Quiapo ata do it on the same day, just a few hours before the rites.

If meron nga na wala nang seminar I might be interested in that as well para iwas VL sa office. I really need to make ipon my leaves e.. hehe..

share ko lang, kaka-pakumpil lang ni H2B sa San Miguel Church last Saturday..

bale nung tumawag sya few weeks ago, ang advise lang sa kanya e pumunta an hour before nung kumpil.. so nung Sat e nagpunta kami dun at mag 2PM na nga kami dumating.. buti nakahabol pa kami.. tapos ang need lang e yung photocopy ng baptismal at P600.00 na payment.. after magbayad e pumunta na agad kami sa loob ng church tapos may guy in charge dun na parang nagbibigay lang ng do's and dont's saka mga reminders.. sya rin yung commentator nung confirmation mass.. then 2:30PM nag start na.. super haba nung homily.. halos 30 min-1 hr din.. sabi ng mommy ko baka kasama na rin daw yung seminar sa homily kasi wala talagang seminar na kinonduct e.. yung homily was about sa pagpapakasal at pagpapamilya talaga kasi almost lahat ng andun e nagpakumpil lang kasi kakasalin na.. mag 4PM na natapos yung mass.. then right after e tinawag na isa2 yung name at binigay na yung certificate..

Yun nga din hinahanap ko sis.. the ones without a seminar na.. dito kasi sa parish church namin, separate pa ang seminar date sa confirmation date.. like a week ang pagitan..

sorry late reply.. GY shift kasi ako..  anyways..

@iamruthie - parang maaga ang 12nn sis.. an hour before daw so mga 1:30 dapat though kami 1:45 na dumating kasi galing pa kaming divi.. good thing, pwede pa raw magpalista until 2:00.. sa San Miguel ito sa may Malacanang.. yup, ok at malaki ang parking.. if familiar ka sa Manila, sa may Arlegui St ang daan..  papasok ka sa gate ng Malacanang (near TIP).. pagpasok mo dun e you can ask the guard for the direction.. madali lang naman.. alam ko kanan lang sa unang kanto tapos kanan ulet tapos makikita mo na yung church sa left side.. not sure naman kung anung sasakyan pag commute pero may mga jeep na dumadaan sa harap ng church mismo e..

meron ding Thu at Sun na sked.. morning yung Sun tapos same time yung Thu at Sat w/c is 2:30..

@charmed_chic - yup! less hassle talaga.. this coming May na wedding namin so talagang gahol na rin kami sa time.. plan ni h2b nung una sa Quiapo magpa kumpil.. buti may nabasa kami na pwede pala dito.. hnd ko alam kung sabay talaga homily at seminar pero kasi parang ganun ang dating.. kasi ang topic e about sa relationship, pagpapakasal, pag aasawa at pagbuo ng pamilya.. awkward nga kasi may kasabay kaming 2 teenager tapos nababanggit sa sermon yung pre marital s*x at mga contraceptives.. lol..

Thanks sisses.. Mas OK nga dito kasi 1 day processing lang so hindi na tayo babalik balik pa for seminar then the rites.

Just to make sure, ang requirements would be (?):

1. Ninong or Ninang of legal age - no need to bring any documents
2. Copy of Baptismal Certificate with annotation of "for confirmation purposes only"
3. Copy of NSO's Birth Certificate
4. Payment for the Confirmation = P600.00
5. (1)  2x2 or 1x1 picture

Be there atleast an hour before the schedule.
