Philam Life.  Kasi if you're a member of IMG na, you can pay as little as Php2k to 3k (depending on your age) for a 1M coverage per year. You should know too na the life insurance that you need is 10 times your annual income. So, know your needed life insurance value and double the base pay lg if you want to have a 2M coverage. Renewable din siya yearly.

This insurance is one of the cheapest there is in the country.

We are insured in sunlife. We heard from one of our friends that he's insured in prulife so we inquired with them because premium is much lower according to our friend. So we compared the 2 (Sunlife and prulife).
We requested proposals from the 2. A 20 million insurance with fund value or VUL without any riders. So the premiums were:
           Sunlife: 500k plus annually
           Prulife: 250k annually
I dont know why its so much pricey in sunlife. Any comment on this?

my mom and i just got ourselves insured with sunlife for the same face amount and almost the same payment considering na mas matanda siya sakin. it depends dun sa mismong insurance na kinuha. sa case namin ni mama, regular pay yung kinuha niya (may premium holiday, simply put, it's up to her when she wants to end paying for her policy) while yung akin naman 10years limited pay.

Pero nung na open yung mind ko, grabe sobrang ganda pala talaga ng insurance lalo na kung may investment. I have an insurance with AXA Philippines. High return ng rate ng investment mo. Sobra ganda ng benefits and return.

Hi there! I'm fairly new here  I was just browsing sa forums when I got to this thread. We had the same mindset before. Dati, di talaga ko kumukuha ng insurance although maraming nang nag-alok. But a friend of mine talk me out of it and encouraged me to get one kahit non-life lang. She suggested na kumuha sa MAPFRE Insurance. I got a car insurance and it definitely helped me when I got into an accident. Less gastos sa repairs

They have products that provide living benefits as well, they do have also a product which is variable + protection it is like saving but with big return of your investment that you cant get in bank savings and lastlay they don't have state taxes..

Sunlife pa rin ba ang the best insurance? I'm thinking of getting one but I want a very stable company.

In getting an insurance, tignan nyo muna lahat lahat. If how stable ang insurance company, their rate of return, their reserve contingency (ito yung gaano kalaki yung money na reserve nila, aside sa capital and others para for example kunwari ang buong brgy is nasunugab, then lahat sila policy holder ng isang insurance company, dapat lahat kaya nila ibigay yung claims ng policy holders and sobra sobra pa) then yung chargers,malaki rin kasi ang kaltas nito. Weigh nyo mabuti.

sis pinkpunk sunlife is okay, ilang taon narin kasi yan sa pinas, saka mas masa ata. pero sunlife is philippines and canada ata. Try to compare solutions. Try mo sa AXA. AXA is worldwide. Number one sa japan etc. Top 16 among 500 largest companies in the world. May nakausap ako one time sa bank kasi both policy holder sya ng AXA and Sunlife, I asked her, mas okay daw and AXA, and mas mababa ang charges compared to Sunlife.

Tignan  nyo rin yung Fund Statistics ng bawat insurance company. Dito nyo makikita yung flow at history ng rate of return nila.

^ Just to correct lang, sunlife is worldwide. Currently 119 years old in the Philippines. And also number 1 in the top insurance companies in the recent rankings by the insurance commission of the philippines.

Another factor that you also need to consider when choosing an insurance company (and you're having stability issues) is the Market Capitalization. In layman's term, how big is this company and what are the odds of it being bought by the competitor. That was the first thing na naisip ko. Syempre gusto ko din na yung pinakamalaki sa market ang kunin ko. Medyo immature pa ko when I got my first policy and signed up for Manulife (life insurance + investment + accident and critical health riders). Influence lang ng friend when I signed. Walang research or isip isip. Buti nalang when I did my research this year, it has the best standing naman pala in the Philippines. Not only in the insurance business but also amongst all company across industries.
