I cant help but post something about the incicent.

dami daming tao sa Facebook nagsasabi anong klaseng school daw ba csa (because of that single incident)... and i'm like... what a poor excuse to hate CSA! sour graping lang coz di dun nakapag aral.

I liked how Fr. Rector ended his open letter to all Augustinians, students and parents alike, with this statement:

I hope and pray that this disturbing shadow cast on the beautiful image and reputation of Colegio San Agustin will soon disappear from the Augustinian skies.

Hindi naman daw inside the faculty room nangyari yung incident pero nasa premises ng CSA. Madami naman daw ngtry na awatin yung ng freak-out na tatay including teachers, bystanders and guards. Gumawa naman daw agad ng actions yung CSA. Minsan lang kasi ang media will add info na di naman actually nangyari just to make the story more interesting.

@sis whinx - what were the actions taken daw aside from the security tightening? 

I am an Augustinian and my kids study there but somehow I am bothered because the school has not even addressed/acknowledged this issue to the Augustinian community except in the form of vague memos.  I would have appreciated a reference (no matter how general it is) to 'an incident' included in the memo they sent out regarding tightening of security.  As it is, most parents were surprised when the issue came out in the media.  If we had known 'an incident' happened, then we could have been one in defending CSA against its haters instead of being caught unaware prompting a lot of parents and alumni to join the mob.

We really don't have to be privy to all the details.  An acknowledgment would have been enough. 

Whatever may have been the cause of the altercation, wherever in the school it may have occurred, whoever may have been involved, the fact still remains a gun was pulled out and used to threaten a student inside school premises and I, personally, want CSA to do something solid about this fact (or was there no gun involved and the gun poking incident isn't a fact at all?)

I feel bad for my alma mater because a man disrespected the law, the students, the school and everything it stands for.

Called in yesterday to ask the age requirement for Grade 1. They said she qualifies for Grade 1, she will turn 6 in March 2013.

I asked also for the TF and the following were mentioned to me:

Cash - Php 81,700.00
Semestral - Php 54,482 (Upon Enrollment) + Php 30,000.00 (Come October 2013)
Monthly - Php 39,251.00 (Upon Enrollment) + Php 6,000.00 (Monthly for 8 months)

Testing Fee is Php 700.00.

CSA released a long memo yesterday stating, among other things, that they have posted administrative charges against the parent and that they (CSA) may have erred on the side of caution by remaining quiet.

It was a better memo.

I don't know if a presscon was made pa.

Btw, anybody here has the TF for Nursery and their available payment scheme for this level? Para I would have an idea how much I will bring next week. Finally we decided to push through with our son's to join CSA even after the bad incident of bullying. Thank you so much

^ saw in TV Patrol pero parang short update... it was mentioned nga that the school posted admin charges and they'll support the family of the student na tinutukan
