CSA Makati Enrollment

^ your child will have an interview with a teacher to assess his readiness for Nursery but from personal experience, CSA isn't strict with the age. They accepted my son and daughter as Nursery students at 3 years and 3 months of age.

New student applicants would have to undergo interviews and/or written tests depending on their grade level.  I remember a friend's daughter underwent a written test and an interview for Grade 1. 

@krisslim - pre-school students are not allowed to exit the pre-school gates without a fetcher (who needs a fetcher's ID).  Those who are picked up late usually stay within the confines of the pre-school hallway inside the PS gates and for those who are picked up very late, thy are usually brought to the PS Guidance office.  Younger students in the GS levels are also confined within the GS gates.  Bus riders exit through the back and this is where vigilance is needed since there are bus mothers and bus drivers who are pabaya.

@ jaiaquino - my son's Nursery 2 afternoon class has a total 21 students.  1 main teacher and 1 assistant teacher.  The assistant teacher is the main teacher for the morning class and teacher assist nya ang main teacher for the afternoon. 

@pilates - CSA works for me.  I don't know if I am biased since I am a graduate of the school but I am satisfied with the quality of education my kids are getting.

I really enjoy reading this thread specially it helps me to have myself ready what to expect when my son goes to school. September yung enrollment right? Question lang mga sis, kailangan ba as in nakakapagsalita ng maayos na yung kid before pwede i-enroll?

my son kasi nakikipagkwentuhan and marami na syang basic words yun nga lang di pa sya as in super straight magsalita, bulol pa rin. pwede na kaya sya?

@ moonstonemom - yes, they are still accepting students for pre-school.

@chicafabulosa - my son was still bulol but they accepted him for nursery 2 last year.  The teacher who interviewed him said okay lang daw if bulol pa ng konti.

@ evilwoman - I don't think my Grade 1 PM classes. Grade 1 classes finish around 2pm yata e.

From what my daughter told me after her interview (although 5 yrs ago pa ang interview nya), the teacher just talked to her and observed her playing with the blocks then asked if she knows how to make a tower from the blocks. I think the interview incorporates play so the child will be comfortable answering.

My son who was interviewed last year did not volunteer what they did inside the library but he nodded when I asked if he made a tower and answered colors. So, most probably, same din lang.  The teacher who interviewed my son said (after the interview) that he is fit to be in Nursery 2 even if he is bulol and she noticed daw that my son knew how to grip a pencil properly (probably because we sent him to a Nursery school in our village).

i really wanted to have my son be enrolled here but my problem is... it is quite far from our place. we are currently residing in sampaloc, manila and will be transferring to aurora blvd/greenhills area when our condo unit is done. do you think it will still be advisable for my son to enroll here given our situation? thanks in advance

well if the kid won't get tired naman why not right? we live in Pasig but we chose this school pa rin knowing im close to other good schools here like ADMU, La Salle Greenhills and the likes. but my hubby really wanted CSA so tyagaan na lang yung drive ko in case

Hi, re: k to 12 implementation, will CSA be adding 1 more year or will they just rename the current grade levels? Will their current Prep level be renamed to Grade 1, meaning Kinder students this year will be Grade 1 next year instead of Prep?

Nope they are not. Assumption, St. Scho and Xavier pa lang alam ko and also Merriam dapat married ang parents

CSA already has Grade 7 and from what they told the parents in last year's orientation, the plan is to let the students graduate in Grade 6, then junior high (grade 7-10), then senior high (grade 11-12).  Bale, 1 year lang ang idadagdag.

For Kinder and Prep, they will be renamed Junior Kinder and Senior Kinder.

They willl not rename the grade levels, sis.
I know for sure that the 5th grade batch will be included in the K-12 implementation.

My daughter passed the exam & interview so she'll be going to CSA this coming schoolyear (Sr. Kinder). We've already enrolled her but I forgot to ask abt the school & village sticker. Clarify ko lang, the Dasma sticker issued for CSA students - is that an inter-village sticker na rin? Which villages are included sa list? Also, if I just get the Dasma sticker and not the CSA sticker, would I still be allowed to park within the school premises if we would be attending school programs or outside na? Planning to have her utilize the school service kasi we cant really bring her to school or pick her up from school everyday due to our work sched.
