^sis.. si Ms. Laig is the pamangkin of Mrs. Laig (ang terror teacher ko sa home economics).. i now remember Ms. Laig's current last name.. Rivadelo.. she married one our teachers din.. si Mr. Rivadelo..

ms. lycia laig-rivadelo is my cousin nag-teach pala sa CSA husband ni ms. laig? di ko yata alam yun kasi he's working in a pharma company na when we met. but he's also an alumnus of CSA. hmmm.. terror pala si mrs. laig? hehe

did you guys get your kids' section na? are there any first day of school tips you can advise me? and wala daw talagang books na dala ang mga bata pag first day? even high school?

^ Yup, they usually bring small bags only.  They don't do any school work on the first day.  It's more like a getting to know you day for them.

@ Kitchen Goddess - Whoops!  Huli kami.  Hehe!     How are you related to Mrs. Laig? Augustinian ka rin?

hello mga sis,

i'm new in this thread. just want to ask, i'm planning to enroll my daughter in CSA next school year 2012-2013. Have the following questions, hope you can help me decide.

1. i heard they accept new enrollees Sept. 2011, right?

2. i'm still undecided on grade 7 so i'm thinking to enroll her first to other school which only offers grade 6 and then plan to enroll her nalang pag high school, however, i heard CSA would still ask the student to be in Grade 7, am i right again? hehe .... 

3. how much is the tuition fee for prep? and how long sila sa school (time)? my daughter kc started her schooling in a progressive school like they just spent 3 hrs in school...so i just want to know if she move to big school, i could prepare her to adjust.

we really like CSA esp. her cousins are studying there.

^Hi sis, nakalimutan ko na kung kailan kami kumuha ng entrance exams. BR ka na lang sis.
Nandoon din sa pag-back read mo ang tuition ng ilan.

Tatanungin pa rin ang anak mo kung nag-grade 7 siya at kung hindi, babalik pa rin siya sa grade 7. Pero inquire ka na lang kasi magdadagdag ang CSA ng mga grade levels.

thanks domestic diva! actually, validation lang sana...nag back read me and na-mention na for this school year, they accept new enrollees Sept month daw then after taking exam and okay sya, they just give you a month to pay? i just thought mga April or May 2012 pa ang payment....

what do you mean they will add grade levels? you mean like going to grade 8? hindi ba over naman ata yun?

^ako kasi grade school/high school ang binayaran ko pero noong enrollment period na.

magiging 12 year curriculum na from grade school to high school sis. this will be implemented in some schools already so grade 1 to grade 7; 1st year to 5th year high school.

Pag PE day sa GS, whole day silang naka-PE uniform? Do you bring extra shirt to change?

^^hmm sis wag mo isisi sa CSA, sumusunod lang sa K+12 ng deped kahit saan school pa maging kinder ( K) + 12 years na GS to HS by 2012

@stormy - actually sis hindi ko naman sinisisi directly CSA  it was just an impression to know they will have additional levels...besides i cannot get mad to that school because my nephews are studying there and i know how it transformed them not only academically but their behavior as well...

There's a general orientation for parents this june 25. The additional school years might be discussed there.  A mommy I talked with last week said CSA plans to let GS students graduate in Grade 6 and the Grade 7 level will be added to the HS levels so there is no need to add another level.  I just don't know how true this is. 

@yani090479 - CSA isn't strict with ages naman. Maybe your daughter will be asked to take the entrance test for HS 1 and if she passes, then there would be no need to make her go through Grade 7.  But of course, I am just guessing ha.  We will keep you informed once CSA releases the memo announcing that they are already open for new enrolees.

Hmm nasa thread ka kasi ng csa and it seems, based on your answers, that you are not aware of the k+12 program so i made the post. I've not made a suggestion that you are mad at the school kahit na ang emoticon mo e

sis flexusob, yan din ang narinig ko. grade school graduation at 6th grade, then grade 7 will be part of the HS building. 5th year will have their own building.

^that's what my high schooler told me. I wasn't able to attend the HS orientation because the time was so alanganin. We attended the GS orientation last June 2nd and they just said graduate in grade 6, will have 2 years junior and 4 years senior so I guess may 5th year nga.

Sis, what about PE uniform, did you buy your kids 2 PE shirts para may pampalit na shirt?

Do your kids follow baon day too?
