Just a question... I got na my Phil passport but my Canadian passport just expired. Will I encounter any problems using my Phil passport lang? I'm just concerned kasi I reported that I am a holder of another passport when  I renewed my Phil passport.Although I plan to just use my Phil passport and apply for the appropriate visas nalang just in case hindi ko makuha yung renewed Canadian passport in time for my trip. Please advise.. TIA

^Sis, I don't see any problems with that. As long as you have the required visas on your valid Phil. passport, no problem. Iba lang kasi ang convenience of holding a 1st world country passport, wala nang madaming satsat as compared to a 3rd world country passport.

Cool. Praning lang siguro ako baka hanapan din ako ng Canadian passport since I reported that I have one. Expired nga lang as of this time hehe!

Sis I think your mom would need an affidavit of loss, check mo ang DFA site para sure ka and you can call na rin sa hotline nila. It is a requirement pag nawala ang passport.

Girls! Help me please.. bukas na yung appointment namin.. si Daddy wala syang NSO birth certificate in SECPA paper... per meron syang birth certificate dito na may tatak ng NSO pero hindi in SECPA paper... kumuha siya ng NSO pero wala daw syang record of birth dun.. pano yun? may old passport sya na diplomat....

please help me.. reply po kayo ASAP ;'(

May 17, wala pa. May 18, nagtext yung DFA na for release on that day. The following day, nadeliver na ng courier.

wala. parang ordinary paper nga lang e pero may tatak yun na NSO. yun yung ginamit nia nung apply siya for passport dati pero matagal na yun

Hi sis, yun nga yung tinutukoy ko..kaso pag niloload ko sa browser, wala akong nakikitang forms..parang may sira yung page.. ganun din ba sa inyo? wala man lang akong makitang box na pagffillupan ng details..

Sis that crap of a tracking system sa dfa does not work. wag mo na asahan yun. Hehe! Lahat kasi sa kanila down ang system.

It says clearly sa dfa website na nso-paper birth certificate. Baka di napass yung original birth cert ng daddy mo to NSO kaya di siya naregister sa nso? hindi pwede sa DFA yung original birth cert yung galing talaga sa hospital na papel, di pwede yun.

I just got married. Pwede ba wag ko muna irenew passport ko with my new surname until ma expire? Or i need to have it renewed agad? If then, What's the current process?

^^Per my experience I had my passport renewed about 2 months before its expiry.  I brought with me an NSO copy of the marriage certificate and the old passport. Around 2008 DFA was just starting out with the online appointment system. Actually noon you'll just send an email and you'll rwcwive a reply with your appointment date.

For the present system you'll still go through the usual appointment system, much like what you'll go through for a passport renewal, it's just that you'll also change your name in the passport because of your change in status.

Just check the DFA site for the details.

Yup pwede naman na you will not renew muna your passport provided that it is not expiring. When you buy tickets or present ID sa airport, dapat may maipresent ka na ang name sa ID is your family name na single ka pa, same ng sa passport. Basta when you go to airports, always bring a copy of your nso-paper birth cert para may maipakita ka when you need it.
To renew your passport, same steps na with everyone here renewing their passport with your nso-paper marriage certificate.
