my sister lost her passport. di pa expired yun, problem is she cant remember her passport number. she wants to apply for a new one, would anyone here know what are the requirements?  TIA

Hi mga sis,

Will be going to Guanzhou China this April. Problem ko, yung brother ko di pa narerenew ang passport. We only have limited time para sa passport at visa. Pano kaya yun?

I checked the DFA website and found that the fastest processing period is 14 days. Grabe yun na ba talaga ang todong bilis nila?

Meron po ba kayong alam na agency na kayang mag process ng passport for 5days?

^14 days is the normal processing of passport na.

... unless red passport ang kukunin within the day mailalabas yun.

anyone travelled here with less than 6 months on passport and was held at the airport?

^depends ata how short validitiy, i think you can get an extension of your passport -- you can get out of the philippines but some countries are strict (like the US, UK, Europe, Australia) and they wont let you enter if your passport is less than six months.

thanks foxymom. in this case, the travel is from US to the Philippines and at the time of travel, passport will expire in 5 months.

Pang government official lang pala yun.. pano naman kung ordinaryong tao lang.

Grabe naman kasi ang DFA sobrang bagal. Rush na yung 14days nakakainis..

hindi ako natuloy for march 3 appointment. try lang ng try as usual, for soonest appointment date.. naka-tyempo ulit ako! apr 6 hehe... just today. baka mas ok magbook pag wee hours..

thanks foxymom. in this case, the travel is from US to the Philippines and at the time of travel, passport will expire in 5 months.

hhmmm... you need to check travel requirements of the US since you are departing from there. are you a green card holder? US is usually strict when it comes to these things...

share ko lang experience ko nung nagpa-renew ako last thurs (march 24). as per dfa's website, ang regular processing is 20 working days pero when i went there, 25 working days na. ang release ng passport ko is on may 2 pa. kinakabahan nga ako kasi may 10 na ang trip ko. papa-rush processing ko na lang sana kaya lang di daw available ang rush processing at this time. yung mga kasabay ko na may tour din nag-worry tuloy.

napansin ko rin na parang walang separate lane for family applications kaya ang haba tuloy ng pila. pag akyat ko sa 2nd floor for the payment and image capture, meron dung isang room na para sa application ng mga senior citizens.

naku sana ma-i-release sa may 2 yung passport ko...ka-lurky baka di umabot sa travel date ko

if i were you mag start ka na mag hanap ng contact sa dfa. although dfa said passport processing will normalize in a few weeks you can never be sure...

nag stop ata ang rush processing kasi di talaga kaya ng dfa yung commitment na yun...

Grabe ang DFA no, sobrang poor service.
Buti na lang wala pa kaming ticket and hotel. surprise travel sana ito ng brother in law ko, sya tuloy ang nasurprise. Brother ko kasi di nakapag renew so most probably re-sked na lang ang vacation.

I tried mock booking for an appointment in August. Pero walang available! Meron sila wide open pa ng June 1 pero with the way things are going as I've read here delikado na hindi umabot passport ko sa departure ko ng July.

sis, share mo naman experience mo. na-release ba yung passport mo agad or na-delay?

nung andun ako sa image capture section, tinanong ko yung girl kung ilang days ang delay kung sakaling di agad ma-release on may 2. sabi nya, di daw sila sure sabay kung tanong kung bakit. sabi ko aalis na kasi ako the week after. ang sabi nya, kung may airline ticket na daw ako, dalhin ko daw and ipakita para i-rush daw ang pag-process. naku, nalulurky na ko!

^hi sis! yes, na release yung amin, pero medyo high up yung dfa contact namin -- the new sec.of the dfa kaya talagang na prioritize :p

we had our appearance mar 1, mar 17 ready na yung passport namin. target release was mar 22. kinabahan ako kasi aalis kami this sunday, buti na [textspeak!] tlaga na release...

^ buti ka pa sis! may kilala sana ako sa dfa kaya lang sa qatar na sya naka-assign ngayon  hay, sana ma-release on may 2 or else patay ako sa friend ko pag di kami natuloy!
