EPILATOR vs WAXING

Epilator because it's cheaper than going to a waxing salon! Mine is from Braun. May massager and light.


But when it comes to upper lip, WAXING! Kasi super sakit to epilate no!! I only do it if I have no choice na!

I do waxing at home and sometimes kapag tinatamad sa labas. I just got this epilator to try pero natatakot ako kasi baka masakit? The husband tried it on his chin and he said it hurts so bad. Now I'm afriad to try it.

Has anyone tried the epilator sa bikini area? Is it safe?

^from looking at the epilator. Its like 20 tweezers tweezing at one time. Parang wax din siguro where the hair goes at one go. Ang bilis kasi umikot e. But I'm afraid that it would pinch my skin. Tama ba mga sis?

@tiggerlily Natakot rin ako nung una. Atmas masakit than wax pero masasanay ka rin naman.  If you use it properly, it will not pinch your skin. Don't put it too close. Pero mine kasi is the Braun with massager. So parang may barrier and proctection na rin. Google it para makita mo.

hi sis killbill, ako ang brand na gamit ko epilady. Though I haven't tried other brands pero satisfied naman ako sa results nya. Binili ko sya 2 years ago na siguro, hanggang ngayon nagagamit ko pa. okay din motor nya pati battery kasi rechargeable sya, di pa rin sira. ang bili ko sa kanya nasa 2K++.
Based sa experience ko, yung epilator nagagamit ko kahit maikli pa lang sya. Ako kasi nag-eepilate every week.
About sa ingrown hair, well, depende ata sa type of skin yun sis? pero ako may inaapply ako, yung after was lotion ng watsons.

hi sis kittycat22, kung sanay ka na na nagbubunot sis, tingin ko hindi na magiging msakit sa iyo yung epilator. Ako kasi bunot na ako ever since.

Nakabili na ako last week ng epilator, philips. Around 2,500. Yun kasi pinakamura kong nakita sa megamall yung mga cordless nasa 7k and up. Okay naman sya. Not as painful as i imagined. Sanay naman kasi ako sa wax.

For Braun, try Rustans. I saw it displayed in Naia Terminal 3 din, domestic gate side. Duty free has Braun too. Price, don't know the exact but more expensive than the other brands.

mga sis tagal ko na nag eepilate, pero dahil sa epilator nagkaroon ako ng  acute inflammation.. sigh to the point of surgery sa may underarm.. natatakot na ako mag epilate baka kasi maulit uli.. ano ba talaga dapat after care for epilating?? do I need to put antibiotic after epilating or wax na lang? as in nakakatrauma  .. yun daw kasi nagcause ng mass ko sa underarm sigh

iba iba talaga ang effect ng hair removal sa bawat tao.
yung standard talaga, after hair removal via pulling (tweezers, epilators, waxing), di talaga pwede mag-basa kasi open ang pore and pwede ma-infect. Anyway, depende rin sa tao, meron namang ok lang mag-basa even after the procedure.
So best practice talaga is to try muna sa small spot na medyo tago, para if ever may bad effect, di gaanong mapapansin.
So best practice is clean before epilating. then after epilating, area should be dry for the next 8 hours. That's why most do it after showering and before going to bed.
Ngayon kung may irritation and/or infections, best talaga is to consult your derma na.
Tapos kung gusto mo talaga na no hair pa rin, you have to try other methods na.

It is best to get a rechargeable epilator kasi easier to maneuver around.

I use the Philips epilator. Nasira na after 2 years pero suit naman. Laki ng natipid ko instead of getting a wax monthly Planning to buy another one sa isang araw. I still get a wax "down there" but underarms, legs, knuckles, I epilate na lang

bought elite sa watsons during sale, around 1600 pesos, rechargable, wireless, wet and dry. 2 brand lang nakita ko philips and elite. ok naman siya yung mga sales lady kasi ng showdown ng epilator.hehe
