we couldn't hold off watching the longer mayad video until our first wedding anniversary.  we gave in last night 

we are, of course, biased as hell because we ABSOLUTELY loved it.  let's just put it this way- we wanted to get in touch with mayad after watching it so we could give them more money

a bit OT din, I saw Deb and john's thank you gifts to their suppliers. I was with Paolo (3rd ave) last time and I went to their house then nakita ko yung loot bag binigay nila. Grabe lang. They delivered it ata via LBC or something. Pao told me they really splurged a lot of money that time. Yung rehearsals nila may fireworks na =) pero nagfail daw yung fireworks sa dragonboat team dapat ata meron din daw yun. Di daw nagunleash. Chismosa mode ang peg ko hehe.

Anyway I think Mayad turned the SDE in private mode.

i got curious and unearthed this for anyone else who got curious as well.  no telling how long the video will be up, so hurry.

jason magbanua clearly can dictate his own pricing- and with his immense popularity, can still probably afford to turn away prospective clients despite that.  his style is, in my opinion, for those geared more towards the serious and the dramatic.  mayad plays more on the loose, laid-back platform.  of course, the tone will be set by the couple, but i think these are the main strengths of these two videographers.

threelogy- i haven't watched enough SDEs by them for me to hazard an opinion on their strength.  though the two that i saw of two artista couples (can't remember who they were) were excellent.

well, king did ours, so i'm certainly biased! 

mayad will make song suggestions, but if you want to use your own, that's fine as well.

depends on what package you got if you'll get a blu ray disc.  but i think they may have already stopped offering standard definition/SD packages, so yes then- i guess everybody gets a BR disc.

super mahal ng 3 na ito. but treehousestory ok din mga sis. pero i've worked with threelogy na before but not in a wedding. sa isang event lang. nung nakita ko ang output ok naman. mayad and magbanua works are ok din pero all of them pricey.

The director will be the one to choose the music for you, but I heard they will only give it to you 2 weeks before your wedding since most brides are fickle minded.  The directors have different strengths, the choice would depend on what mood you want.

he's boracay based daw, kaya medyo mataas ang oot fee nya. how much rate na nakuha nyo sis? thanks.

150k. 20k oot fee namin kasi tagaytay. that's what's in the contract. i dunno if king will have addtl oot fee coz that'll be too unfair na samin. I just asked sheena to have him assigned as our director. she didn't say anything about addtl oot fee for king alone.
