^you have to call their visa number and actually it's an authorized call center. they will give you a date when they will pick up your requirements. pati instructions on how to prepare your requirements and payments sasabihin sa iyo lahat. you can google their number. pero parang overseas yung call if i remember right, may cost per minute. parang when you call us embassy din.

^Thanks sis, called them up already and sad to say April 18 pa ang schedule of pick up. 15 working days daw yung process and hindi aabot ang release ng visa ko sa departure date namin. Nakakainis talaga. Sira ang schedule namin. So I have to rebook everything.

mahigpit po ba sa immigration ng italy? kasi makikistay lang kami sa tita ko. wala kaming invitation. or we need proof ng hotel?

^sis, di ba you'll be coming from France going to Italy? There are no immigrations for domestic flight arrivals. Basta within schengen states ka lilipad considered domestic yun. It is only when you enter the first schengen state (port of entry) na dadaan ka ng immigrations.

Yes, mama squeak! We will arrive to Italy thru FCO (easyjet) but sabi ng tita ko international daw yun kaya medyo napraning ako, while the other airport, domestic daw. hehe

^Yeap. No immigration across Schengen states- kahit by plane or train. Umasa pa naman ako na dadami sana ang tatak sa passport ko.  Hindi pala.

I hope my trip to Rome this year will push through. It will be a business trip but hope I have spare days to roam around Rome and hopefully travel to Florence. If I have more time, I'll fly to Utrech, Netherlands.

Parang ala ata akong nakitang nakapost dito about dress codes in Vatican City and St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace.

Kasi sabi sa Papal Audience website, hindi dapat kita knees for girls which is understandable.  I'm actually planning on wearing a dress na above the knee pero nakaleggings naman ako ng black.  Nasa Italy kami ng May 19-25, so pa-summer na.  Hindi naman kaya mainit na yung get-up ko?  Pwede bang magjeans?

^Thanks, sis.  Gumagawa na kasi ako ng "outfit plan" ko for our trip.  I think it's important lalo na kasi for packing.  Backpack lang dala ko kasi.

Anyway, sis, to answer your question, kami kasi ng family ko, we presented the full itin which included the date and place we intend to visit for each date.  Yung hotel bookings, print out lang namin yung email ng hotels confirming our reservation.  About the route, sorry sis hindi kita masagot dun kasi first time ko palang punta Italy.  Although ang gagawin kasi namin, once we get to Italy from Spain, una naming punta Venice and then Pisa and finally Rome.  Baliktad sa route nyo.

Yes, you have to show your intended itinerary with corresponding hotel bookings/accommodation arrangement.

Are you getting a round trip ticket or open jaw? If it's the latter you can do your intended IT, fly into Rome and leave from Milan. If it's the former you have more choices into/out of Rome. Suggested routing: Rome-Florence-Pisa(day trip from Florence)-Milan-Verona-Venice-Rome.

^thanks sis. bale open jaw tix to save time. now nadagdagan pa iti namin. rome - base pisa daytrip to florence - base venice daytrip to verona - milan - paris. at least 15 days for the whole trip. from mxp to cdg we'll take easyjet because it's much cheaper than taking the train and saves time as well. we need time!!!! because my hubby needs to fly to US pa to visit his parents and he has 30 days leave lang. ampagod!

paano po ba yung trenitalia? do we have to purchase it everyday or merong mga tix valid for certain number of days? or merong nabibili online? masearch nga. im busy right now booking for hotel accommodations. hay hirap magcram.

may mura palang train going to paris. i checked trenitalia's website. i have yet to discover how and when to purchase train tickets. ok na rin na magtrain,bonding na rin. we will scrap milan from our iti. para kasing wala namang masyadong makita sa milan, more on shopping, imho. so from venice to paris, mag train na lang kami. we'll stay longer in rome and paris, magpakafeeling nasa mtv ng truly madly deeply. hahaha!  sisses, tips naman po dyan in buying tickets sa trenitalia. mas ok ba na magpurchase online, or dun na lang, or may ticket ba na mabibili for like 2weeks to go around italy?!? thanks po! first time kasi namin to travel in italy. during layovers lang ako nakakapunta sa italy kaya go with the flow lang ako sa mga kasama ko, e ngayon, kaming 2 na lang ng asawa ko kaya medyo kabado ako baka mawala kami

it covers paris and parts of italy. Personally read the italy articles as I am going on a 2 week backpacking trip there last week of may

imo, if you have a set itinerary already.. better to buy train tickets earlier.If you are more of the happy go lucky type and/ or coming from a flight please do not book your train in advance.  You might decide to stay in that area longer and/ or you might miss your train schedule which would make your vacation into stress-cation

^Hasn't it always been EUR60.00? Depende na lang sa conversion rates na ginamit, in this case nasa Php56 to Eur1 ang ginamit nila.

Yes its EUR60. Depends sa rate. kasi nung tumawag ako last month they told me its 3,518. and advised me to call again this April to get the new amount.

Nag-outfit planning din ako! Naka-excel din yung akin. But I wasn't able to really follow it because:
1) I wore new outfits that I bought during the trip
2) I wasn't able to do my laundry during the dates that I am supposed to do them due to lack of time or plain katamaran.
3) Hindi bagay ang planned outfit sa itinerary ko. I modified parts of my IT as I went along.

Some of my dresses were just above the knee and I wore opaque leggings/stockings. I wore the wool stockings that I bought in Europe na because they were warmer.

@euwie: I purchased my tickets two days before my departure date. Parang peace of mind for me na naka-set na. Just don't miss the trains because the discounted fares are non-refundable. Okay lang bumili on the day itself. If off peak naman, there will be lines and you will wait for a bit but it is manageable.

A train ride from Venice to Paris is a long ride. It may be cheaper to fly - check out budget airlines like Easyjet/Ryanair. Yun nga lang, if you will shop in Italy before heading in Paris, it may be easier to board the train para walang extra baggage dilemma.

^thanks po sa suggestions. mukang we'll opt for budget air na nga lang kasi ang tagal pala travel time by train. problem namin ngayon, hindi magtugma sched namin. sunday is a working day here but we didn't know the agency and consulates celebrate easter kaya pagdating namin dun, closed til tomorrow. hay antagal pa naman yata process ngayon since summer na, busy season
