^Agree. Although madami din naman maiikutan na other cities sa France aside from Paris. But when I crafted my itinerary, narealize ko na mas madaming mas interesting places sa Italy kesa sa France. Parang Paris lang kasi yung main destination sa France. Unlike in Italy na andun yung Rome and Venice. Venice is one of the best cities during my trip.

Well it really would depend on what one wants to see or what are his/her interest. For most of us Pinoys kasi mas kilala yung mga big cities since these are the places that most packaged tours would include. France and Italy are just not about Paris, Rome or Venice. Marami kang mapupuntahan if you really want to explore and not just confine yourselves to the big cities.

For France alone, andami nang pwedeng puntahan. On our trips there we went to Chartres, Mont Saint-Michel, Rennes, Toulouse, Carcassone. Our trip next year we will be going to the Loire Valley (Tours, Amboise, Blois, Blere, Villandry, Azay-le-Rideau, Chenonceaux, Chambord, Cheverny, Orleans) to explore the different chateaus there. Baka masingit pa namin ang Bordeaux region (sana!)

In Italy naman, you can explore the Tuscany area (Florence, Lucca, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Chianti, etc). Or the Liguria area where Cinque Terre is located.b Then to the south naman you can visit the Amalfi coast, Naples, Sicily, Pompei, etc.

Of course if you only have a week to spare and you haven't been to Europe yet, understandable na you'll stick to the big cities.

If you have someone else going with you who is quite knowledgeable with planning, baka mas matulungan ka. Syempre, dapat pareho kayo ng standards and tastes siguro sa mga lugar na gusto nyo puntaha. thank you for sharing your blog miss melody. I have already booked tickets to go to italy for 2 weeks with my sister. * very excited*
i was hoping that some stalkers can give me advice on accommodations in naples, florence, cinque terre and venice. I would like to plan my itinerary first but i hate the feeling of not having room reservations. so will be doing room bookings before daily itineraries

^It would be preferable to plan your whole trip's itinerary first before your hotel bookings. Otherwise you would end up confining or limiting yourself. When you have finalised your IT then you can start looking for places to stay.

For our France & Italy trip, we have only 6 days in Italy. Possible ba ang itinerary na ito?

Apr 8 - arrival in rome
Apr 9 - explore rome
apr 10 - travel to florence overnight
april 11 - experience florence then venice overnight
april 12 - explore venice then milan overnight
april 13 - explore milan then back to manila via emirates

questions po.. what is the best way to go to these places? and since limited ang time, ano po yung best place na pwedeng puntahan?

^sis, for all the itineraries you gave you don't need an overnight train. Rome to Florence via the fastest train is only an hour and 30 minutes while from Florence to Venice is a 3 hour train ride. Venice to Milan is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

If I may comment, napagod ako sa IT mo    Parang lumalabas na picture-picture lang yung punta mo dun. Unless that is the way you travel. Why not concentrate on two cities instead of four? There are so many things to see and do in one place. Bitin pa nga kung tutuusin yung tag 3 days per city!

thanks! actually, that's what my family has been telling me. kasama ko sa trip mom ko and feeling nila mapapagod talaga mom ko nito. kaso nang hinayang naman ako if hindi namin mapupuntahan kaya i was thinking kung possible. now i really need to decide where to go.

How about Rome & Venice? among the four, eto ang gusto ko talagang puntahan! hehe

april 8 to 10 - rome
April 11 to 13 venice
from venice back to rome na para flight back to manila?

Hi, has anyone here been to Capri (Italy) and Santorini (Greece)? I'd like to know how different or similar they are. I'm planning our IT for a travel next year. Couldn't decide whether to just focus on Italy or include Greece as well. I'd really like to see Santorini kasi. Travel duration is around 7-10 days.

If you and your friends are the backpacker type and not so fussy with the accomodations, you can try out hostels. Clean, safe and affordable. Plus, you get to meet lots of new people. You can book an entire room if you are 3 or 4 in the group.

Venice - L'Imbarcardero (all girls hostel) - 40 euros/night
Florence - Hostel Archi Rossi - 25 euros/night
Rome - Papaya Female Hostel (all girls hostel)/27 euros/night

With breakfast na yan. Hindi nga lang big breakfast. Prices could actually go lower since you guys will be in a group.

But of course, if you can afford to shell out some more, go lang!

good news! naadjust na ang leave ko! april 4 to 22 na ako. so i have a lot of time travelling and hindi mapapagod ng husto ang nanay ko. =) thanks much mama squeak!
