Anong Beauty Products and gamit niyo dito sa U.S?

hi mga sis! pa share naman kung anong brand ng mga beauty products ang gamit niyo dito sa u.s,yung effective at na try niyo na until now kasi pa iba-iba pa ako ng brand na gamit,tinatry ko kung ano mas maganda at effective,ang dami kasi choices eh

1) Hair Products:including Shampoos and Conditioner/Hair Treatments/Ano magandang brand ng Hair Irons

2) Make-Ups/Face Moisturizer/etc..

3)Body Cares/Lotions/etc..(meron bang whitening lotion dito mga sis?parang wala kasi ako makita eh

post away mga sis,baka sakali makatulong ito lalo na sa mga bagong dating dito sa u.s,dito din kasi ako medyo nahirapan nung kadarating ko palang dito

Nahihirap pa din ako magpili ng shampoo. Kasi nakakadandruff sila eh.

1. Finally bought an equate dandruff shampoo. Use it every 2 days. And Head and Shoulder (shampoo & conditioner). Okay naman sila.

These are products na subukan ko at di ako hiyang: Pantene, Garnier, Avon, Aussie, Tresseme, Suave, Nuetrogena, Herbal Essence, Dove and Sunsilk (iba yun sunsilk nila keysa sa atin, mas hiyang ako sa sunsilk natin super ganda ng hair ko noon.).

Kaya latest ko ngayon is Head and Shoulders, so far so good. Especially when I pair it with equate (Selsuim Blue comparable) dandruff shampoo.

Body Soap: As usual Safeguard or Ivory, pag may budget I like to buy and use Body Shop Olive soap. I love the smell and maganda sa skin ko.

For hair iron, yung first nakita ko yun ang ginagamit ko  (any brand) pagsumasakit na pag gagamitin ko. That means I need to buy a new one.

I'm not too picky with brands as long as it works, maganda yung results/hiyang ako and affordable.

2. Makeups, I don't use a whole lot. But what I have right now are just Almay, some L'oreal & Mac, Bare Essential and Clinique. But I have a lot of moisturizer or serum. Clean and Clear, Eucerin, Biore, equate, nuetrogena. Cleanser: Cetaphil and Body Shop Tea Tree Oil.

Eye Cream: Equate wrinkle and revitalift Day/Night (L'oreal comparable eye cream) makes my eyes feels refresh especially pag tired yung eyes ko.

3. For Body Lotion: I use Skin so Soft silky smooth lotion, Vaseline, Jergens and St Ives. Mostly I use unscented. Pag may scent man yung hindi overpowering kasi my sinusitis will be trigger. I tried yung mga scented sa Body Shop or Bath and Body Works as in di ko matatagalan mag use. Allergies and sinusitis danger. I love the cucumber smell for my lotion. Not so overpowering. And I love ungreasy lotions, I don't like being sticky.

sa Hair iron naman,ayun naka dalawa na ako,pero parang hindi ganun ka straight? di katulad nung mga hair iron sa pinas,i tried con air,at revlon,so far medyo ok naman yung revlon,hay..o baka yung hair ko lang may problema?lol,

sa Face naman,i tried clearasil face scrub,loreal toner and moisturizer,ok naman,hiyang ko,tapos nag try ako nung clinique step 1 to 3 face care,ok din siya,pero mas hiyang ko yung una kong gamit,loreal toner and revitalift moisturizer,clearasil,kaya binalikan ko ito,

Make-ups,gamit ko ngayon is Estee Lauder face powder and blushes,ito na yung gamit ko pag dating ko dito,i never tried other brands yet,lipstick and Lip shiner ko is Mac and Maybeline,pero palagi kong gamit is yung maybeline,pwede pang araw araw kasi,concealer is Mac,na try ko yung Mac studio fix foundation,grabe ang ganda,as in ang kinis tingnan ng face,yun nga lang napansin ko parang nagka pimples ako, ,kaya ayun i stop using it,

sa lotion i used Nivea Skin firming Lotion ba yun,kaya lang ayoko kasi nag lo2tion eh,ang greasy sa balat,kaya ayun 1 year na ata yung lotion na yun,hindi pa rin ubos lol,

@ sis lyn, pwede ba gayahin yung lotion mo?i try ko,gusto ko kasi non greasy din eh, may SPF ba yun sis?

may alam ba kayo Hair Treatment products na maganda?yung naka2alis ng dry sa hair?or sa mga salon,anong tawag dito yung parang rebond satin sa pinas,or anong magandang hair treatment sa salon,para maging soft and shiny yung hair?TIA

Sis, I would advise for you to try different brands, and decide later on which suits your skin best. What we might suggest might not necessarily suit your skin/body.

I have a friend who desperately tried to use MAC make-up just because it is the best out there, but it caused a really bad break-out. 

My advise is to stick to non heavily perfumed and hypo allergenic products. Try to go to a Target store and spend a good hour or two reading all the cosmetics and products before trying. They also usually have an aisle for pocket sized toiletries so you can try some products without spending too much.

And why do you need a whitening lotion? you'll be a couple of shades lighter in a few months because of the weather. Believe me, you don't need it. Just buy a really good sunblock, good for your skin and for preventing premature aging.

@sis khat, try H&S shampoo see if okay ba sa iyo. buy yung smaller/travel size first see if okay bah sa hair mo. For the lotion, yes sis you can try them out. See anong mas hiyang sayo.

@ twentysomething gal,thank you sa advice sis,that's what i'm doing right now,trying different brands,about Mac,i've been using this since nasa pinas pa lang ako,kaya tried and tested ko na siya matagal na,except dun sa studio foundation fix,i just tried it recently since ni recommend siya ng sister ko,ayun hindi ko hiyang,but the rest ok naman,

about dun sa whitening lotion,actually my husband and friends keep telling me,i don't need it na daw,kasi i'm super puti na,kaya lang i still want to use it sana para ma maintain lang,lalo na ngayon,have to take my son out more often,about sa weather,naku sis the weather here in Slidell lalo na pag summer is so bad,as in ang init,parang sa pinas ka lang,umaabot ng 100 degrees ang weather dito,unlike sa ibang states ang ganda ng weather,but yeah,i'm using sunblock

^Dito din sa amin sis the weather can go to 100+ degrees F. Iba ang pagka init, there are times na super dry and sometimes it's quite very humid.

Sometimes I have to use a different lotions during different season. I find St Ives is best during winter time and fall and Skin so Soft, Vaseline and Jergens is good during summer time and spring for me.

Cetaphil any other season except summer. I use Body Shop Tea Tree Oil facial wash and toner.

ah talaga sis?saan ka nga pala dito?kahit pala diyan sa place mo eh mainit din pala pag summer,dito din super ang init tapos humid,nakapalibot kasi yung water sa place namin (mississippi river)kaya kapag humangin during summer,ay naku feel mo talaga,i remember nung preggy pa ako,i have my appointment sa OB ko tapos after nun nag grocery lang kami ni hubby,ayun muntik na ako mag breakout sa sobrang init,even si hubby naiinis kapag summer dito,lumaki kasi siya sa California kaya he got used to the weather dun,kaya were so happy talaga every time we go to cerritos at san diego (in law's at relatives namin ni hubby doon lahat nakatira)ang ganda ng weather,

^I'm here in Nashville, Tennessee sis. Mississippi river din nakapalibot. LOL Ang dami din mga maliliit na rivers dito kaya humid talaga pag summer. But there are times na super dry din and you can easily get heatstroke. I remember nag lakad ako papuntang Kroger. It's near our subdivision kasi, I just walk a few feet pero my lips were already so dry, I was pushing my baby sa stroller nya. Pag abot namin sa Kroger gas, I bought water there. Before I continued to walk pass the parking lot to the entrance. Pag hindi ako naka inom ng tubig I feel I'm gonna collapse. Sobrang init. Now I make it na may bottle water ako everytime we have our walk.

Mas lalo na doon sa Florida super ang init. When we went there mga June 2006 before as in may storm pa. So init at ulan palagi. I feel so sticky and yucky.

Pag super dry yung panahon I get lots of split ends so tudo conditioner ako. Or I just bring my leave on conditioner (sunsilk).

I remember when I first got here ang ganda2x ng hair ko, very shiny, walang slipt ends and walang dandruff. Ngayon, grrr...nakakainis. Same with my skin, naging super dry yung skin ko dito. I have to buy lots and lotsa moisturizer. And I guess sa age na din ito, our skin lost its elasticity when you grow older, so kailangan alagan. May moisturizer. Pag hindi super dry tapos itchy pa.

I used Tgel ng Neutrogena for Shampoo & conditioner kahit ano lang
I use Revlon Curling Iron yung malaki then I use it as Straightening na din, minamaniho ko lang siya

For make up I use whatever is on sale yung mga revlon, maybeline etc
mainstay moisturizer is Neutrogena & Olay for Sensitive skin
I use aquaphor na din pag winter sa mga dry spots

For body, mainstay ko yung Aveeno wash & lotion then sometimes I use VS occasionally. I use baby oil after bath pag summer kasi dry yung skin

^I tired using baby oil, nag break out ako. Break out sa body. LOL ewww tignan. LOL Kaya I stop. But yung Body Shop Bath Oil okay lang. Though I rather use lotion/moisturizer than oils.

1. Hair Products: For shampoos and conditioners I love Garnier Fructis, Aussie, Kiehl's, Infusium 23. I use different brands kasi I rotate them mga almost every 2 weeks or so. But everyone's hair is different kaya it really is trial and error to see what works for you.

As for leave-in conditioners (lalo since I blow dry my hair everyday, I need to protect it) I love Mizani Therma Strength, Kera Care Leave-in, Oscar Blandi Hair Serum.

Hair Straigtheners: Remington and Chi. Meron nirecommend yung hairdresser ko na brand she swears by that I can't remember. Will dig around to find it.

2. Make-up naman I'm using tinted moisturizer by Dr. Dennis Gross. I've tried so many, and that seems to work for me. Moisturizers I like a lot would be by DDF and Boscia. Aveeno din daw ok.

3. Best moisturizer I've tried is Curel (unscented and for ultra dry). Papalit palit ako before until I found this. As in. It's light, not greasy, and really moisturizes.

The good thing about here in the US, kapag itry mo mga products sa department store or Sephora and they don't work, you can return or exchange them until you find something that works for you.

I haven't found a good conditioner and shampoo na hiyang ako. But I swear by an anti-dandruff shampoo that I have been using when the weather gives me very dry scalp.

1. Anti-dandruff shampoo: JASON, it's organic, cruelty free, all natural tea-tree oil shamppo.

2. Moisturizer: Olay anti-wrinkle Day and Night.

3. For lotion - I've tried so many but find EUCERIN for sensitive skin and LUBRIDERM to be the most non-stickiest lotion.

4. Makeup - I don't wear a lot of makeup but do use concealers often. I can't find L'Oreal Touche Magique here but Find Revlon Age Defying Moisturizing Concealer pretty good for cover-ups.

Blush - Body Shop and Bobbi Brown.
Lip balm - I swear by this one: Blistex DCT. Heals cracked, chapped lips quickly.

For Soaps - i find them too drying here and use Baby shower gels like Johnson's baby shower gel or Aveeno's Baby shower gel.

Unfortunately, you came to a land where tanning (having dark skin) is a common trend...not skin whitening. The only places for you to get hold of whitening products are in filipino stores.

-i don't use hair irons kasi straight na straight na ang buhok ko ndi ko na kailangan ng flat iron, tapos nasa florida ako kaya kapag nag curling iron naman ndi rin nagtatagal dahil sa humidity.
   2 ang ginagamit kong brang ng shampoo. H&S at Garnier Fructis Shampoo. H&S kasi talagang napakalinis ng buhok ko kapag ito ang ginamit ko. Saka may phobia kasi ako sa dandruff eh.hehe.. Garnier naman kasi mabango ang problema lang nakakalugas ng buhok pag medyo matagal mo na ginagamit.

2) Make-Ups/Face Moisturizer/etc..
 ang brang ng make-up na ginagamit ko ay Bare Minerals. Facial wash ko ay Kinerase Gentle Daily Cleanser. Moisturizer ko ay Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30. Ang facial wash at moisturizer ko ay recommended ng derma ko dito sa Florida. Acne prone kasi ako.

Meron akong ginagamit na whitening soap but ewan ko lang kung effective kasi ginagamit ko lang ito pang even ng skin tone kasi lagi akong nasa beach kaya yung tan line ko ay everywhere. lol NAkalimutan ko an ang pangalan eh.. pero dun ko binili sa Amy's beauty supply. Ang alam ko sa alabama meron din itong branch. google niyo na lang. ang mga beauty supply na store usually may mga tindang pang mga kakikayan lang. marami sila usually whitening products atbp.

ang lotion na ginagamit ko ay Palmer's cocoa butter. I like it kasi amoy chocolate saka ndi greasy. Inaabsorb ng skin lahat2 ng ipahid mo. Ang hirap kasi dito sa location ko kapag yung lotion mo eh masyadong greasy, sticky at kadiri kasi nga humid dito sa amin.

ndi ako gumagamit ng shaving cream kasi nagkakararash ako. ang ginagamit kong cream pag nagshashave ako ay nivea body wash. may friend naman ako na ang gamit niyang pang shave ay shampoo.. tipid na mas smooth at even pa ang pagshashave.

shampoo, pert gamit ko then conditioner, pede na ang herbal essences. i usually use yung sa bath and body na conditioner pero they dont carry it na sa stores nila. body wash, i swear by rainbath by neutrogena sobrang bango tapos di mo na kailangan maglotion kapag mainit panahon. make up, masaya na ako sa cover girl at revlon haha..di ako madalas mag flat iron nakakatamad eh.

For bath products, i use the organic line EO Essentials... i fell in-love with it the first time I used it so I stuck to it.

Since it could be dry, I use Burt Bee's baby oil as lotion as it is less greasy. For the face, I just moisturize with a hydrating emulsion then sunblock.
