^Sinabe mo pa sis. Halos lahat dito overpriced. Even baby gear like Graco, super marked up din. I was alone and 6 months preggy so I decided not to. Grabe dito.

Yung 100usd malamang 3 to 5 items lang! Tsk tsk. Overpriced!

mommy van, yan nga ang sabi ni hubby, ang mahal daw nung graco travel ek ek na yan kasi his sister used to have that and OA nga daw yung price dyan sa pinas and sa US pa sila bumili kasi may relative sila na umuwi and yun nalang daw niregalo.

mommy tin, ang bad ko na pero naaassociate ko talaga rustan's with the word expensive. LOL ;D pero in fairness pag may sale sila as in super mura talaga, from clothes to kikay stuff. kasi before naghoard ako sa essences ng mga essie na nailpolish, 50pesos lang. pero in fairness satin andaming overruns! kaya shopping galore ako ng gamit ni baby and ng mga nursing eklavu ko dyan sa pinas nung umuwi ako nung all saints day :P

ang masakit lang minsan pag bumibili ako sa US sites pagcheck ko ng tag, made in the philippines! ;D nothing wrong with it pero naiisip ko lang kasi na may overruns ang nabili ko sa GH or SM surplus pag nagkataon :o before pa may nabili ako na gap hoodie sa GH, natawaran ko ng 500 so sige buy ko, pagpunta ko ng toronto, bingo nakita ko cya sa store mismo :P

you're always welcome Tin and Van :) Pero Van yung mustela hindi hiyang kay Zoe tama ba :( sayang naman pero pede mo naman benta..

Jen, hindi sya software ha.. IP Camera talaga sya.. meron isang kind yan na napa-pan and zoom/tilt mo..

lisa..
we wash teethers and rattles in warm soapy water, rinse then tutuyuin ng todo.. parang wala akong nagamit before na teether na pwedeng i-sterilize sa sterilizer.. kasi made of not so sturdy plastic yung may laman na tubig di ba?..

pia..
ewan ko ba.. weird nga eh.. kagabi sinukahan ni gianna ang quilted comforter na sapin namin... haaay so pinalitan ko.. i was searching for another comforter.. kaso lahat nasa laundry pa.. nakita ko [textspeak!] old flannel na blanket ko na puro pilling (mga bilog bilog sa tela sa blanket).. hayon ang ginamit kong sapin namin over the bed sheet..sarap kaya hahahaha!!sabay kuskos ng paa :P
thanks sa spiffies! hahaha!

grayce!!!
ingat! i guess si pia na lang ang magbabalita kung nanganak ka na! good luck!!

Grayce, kaya as much as possible, I order kung pwede and dinadamihan ko na para isang bagsakan. Ang laki kase ng difference here.

After ma-heal yon balik mustela lotion sya ulit.

Pag may napapansin akong namumula, lagay laagad. Bibs, hindi to sulit samin.

hello everyone! i'm here posting again. girls, i want to get your inputs sana on whether to get a time deposit account or regular savings account for katie. we plan to open an account kasi sana and put there the monetary gifts she got nung binyag. i want to open a bdo junior savings account sana since that's what most of our sisses here have based on the my baby's account thread. kaya lang mejo hassle ang requirements nila. kelangan ko pa magsubmit ng picture ni baby and proof of billing (plus 2 valid ids, birth cert, my 1x1 pic). that would mean kelangan ko pa magcrop ng mukha ni baby at magpaprint ng 1x1 niya. tapos, for the proof of billing, kakalipat ko lang ng BF Paranaque so di ko pa napapachange yung address ng phone bill ko. for the jsc ng bdo, minimum balance and initial deposit is Php 500.

whereas, sa time deposit naman via RCBC, in-trust-for yung account. minimum balance and initial deposit is Php 5K. their requirements are 2 valid ids of me, katie's birth cert, and my 1x1 pic lang. kating-kati na ako to open an account soon kaya i'm more inclined to just avail of this. would you guys know of any Con if i decide to open an in-trust-for katie time deposit account?

@Kim, my kids have a BDO savings account.  I never really got to submitting their ID pictures though I remember I told the BDO staff na to follow na lang ang ID pictures. :)

If hindi mo naman iwi-withdraw ang money kasi nga savings, opt for the ITF account na TD.  Mas mataas yata ng konti ang rate ng TD than the regular savings account.

Kapag malaki-laki na ang naipon mo, consider other investment vehicles such as a variable life insurance that earns dividends aside from giving life insurance coverage to your child or an endowment. Check mo ang Sun Life website to get an idea of the different investment accounts that can suit your financial goals.

Kim, we opened a savings account for Zoe from the time pa lang na we found out I was pregnant. Naka-joint account sa min ni hubby though. Every payday, we set aside a certain amount and deposit it there. We dont really touch it at all kahit pa sa vaccines and other necessities ni Zoe. Talagang savings lang sya na pwede namin gamitin when time comes na she will go to school na (mahal tuition kase diba hehe). I'm looking into other options though like mutual funds pero pag-aaralan muna namin ni hubby.

hi sisses!

to share lang, both of my daughters have an ITF  savings account with me, sa Chinabank.

my eldest, the time na may promo ang UCPB, naikuha pa namin siya ng time deposit. P60,000 upon opening, after 5years, P100,000 na ang money mo. nag end na itong time deposit, kaya nilipat ko na sa savings account. sayang nga, dapat yung double your money in 6years nalang ang kinuha namin, which is P100,000 minimum amount upon opening.

Si Zoe din we dont use bibs unless nasa labas kame. Sa house, as in punas lang sya kaso minsan kase hinde napapansin natutuyo tuloy. How much physiogel cream Tin?

KIM, sayang wala akong macontribute sa opinion about opening an account dyan satin at kung anong bank.. we only bought T-Bills pang back up lang.. Ang financial adviser din dito same suggestion as what Marose suggested. Mas mataas ang interest sa mga Mutual Funds, Stocks, etc. compared to time deposit and ordinary savings account. Since hindi nyo naman plan gamitin ang pera ng long term, you might as well consider investing on those. Also try to consider mag invest sa ibang currency kasi madalas e 'higher-than-expected inflation rate' ang peso.

Van, parang 500+ or less than 500 yung physiogel cream.

Wala din ako masshare about sa savings or td account, Kim.

Natutunan ko mag-save kase nakita ko sa mama ko na gastador syang sobra kase she just waits for her money since she's a US pensioner. Ayon, 1 day millionaire yan palage kase katwiran nya, kahit matulog lang sya everyday dadating pa din pera nya. She's so lucky nga kaya lang walang value sa kanya ang hard earned money kagaya sa min (may pinaghuhugutan noh? hehe). So yon, since nakita ko na hinde sya marunong mag-save, I told myself na dapat hinde nya ko maging kagaya. Pero girl, sobrang gastador ko din, as in kaya may own savings account ako apart from our joint account kase if I want something badly na hinde ako pinapatulog, at least may pagkukunan ako.

Hirap talaga pala magbudget. Waaah! Sana matutunan ko yan soon. Or else, sa kangkungan ako pupulutin. Mahirap actually, kasi wala akong work. Kapag may kelangan ako, naku hihirit ako kay mama or kay hubby. Kapal ng mukha talaga! Lol. Atleast kapag may work, pwede bumili ng anything without asking money from other people :(

Pia, si kim yung nagtatanong about banks, hindi ako. :-)

Kim, we have a bpi savings account na in trust for din. All the money she gets as gifts dyan namin nilagay at ilalagay. But like marose said, baba ng interest so we're also looking at getting a sun life vul for baby. We were supposed to get this last dec pero di pa natutuloy kasi di pa kami nakaka-decide kung anong mas ok. We have a sun life agent na and he's been very patient. Initially kasi, i wanted to get a vul in baby's name. Annual payment of 100k for 5 years but minimum insurance coverage (kasi baby pa naman siya) and the rest goes to the investment component. Parang at age 17, shet gets 3M yata that you can withdraw tingi for college tuition every year.

Mukhang magandang option since my husband and i need to increase our insurance coverage. When we reach the target amount, yung excess malamang mapupunta din sa vul.

Lia, tin, so far no rashes naman kasi napupunasan agad.

Van, buti ikaw may sariling account. Minsan pinagsisisihan kong wala akong ganyan like ngayon, may gusto akong bilhin na bag, di ako makakuha ng approval to withdraw money. Joint kasi lahat ng pera namin. Every payday, we withdraw everything from our payroll accounts and these get allocated for savings, bills. Tapos may monthly allowance lang kami for food expenses at work. Tapos may gas allowance, toll allowance, parking allowance, etc.

Pag may gusto kami bilhin na medyo mahal, we need to consult each other at dapat pareho kaming payag. We normally alternate big spending.

If ever kasi, this will be my most expensive (so far). Pero hihirit pa ako ulit baka magbago isip niya. :-D
