Hello! :) I tried having my prenatal massage sa Zen Asia malapit sa greenhills shopping center. 280 lang dun. I asked my doctor first before having the massage, she said it's ok nman dapat nga lang walang masyadong pressure sa lower back.  Light lang yung massage. Gusto ko pa nga sanang ipadiin sa bandang paa and sa mga calves at sa lower back kaso sabi ng doctor ko bawal daw. OK yung service nila nakaka relax talaga. Check nyo yung website http://zenasiaspa.com/

thanks sarahsensible for posting Mom Massage. I will try them as soon as I reach my 6th month. Long wait. My body is already aching, and I'm barely in my third month!

While I was pregnant I had my prenatal massage at Neo Day Spa. Instead of lying on your tummy or back, you lie on your side. It's pretty nice, they prop you up with pillows. Massage is more concentrated on the upper back and hips. No massage on the lower calves or feet. I think it was 1,500 or 1,800. I've been seeing flyers for home service that offer prenatal massages for 300 pesos but I'm dubious about them.

My OB told me no massages to the feet or ankles as it could trigger premature labor. True, in my early pregnancy I had a foot spa done and while they were massaging my feet I could feet my ab area cramping  :( Got scared and never got a pedi or foot spa for the remainder of my pregnancy.

I asked my OB and she said massages are ok so long as hindi gagalawin ang tummy.  I told this to the receptionist in The Spa but she said they still don't do body massages to pregnant women. Hay. She said they can only do head, shoulders, hand and foot massage.

^My OB advised against foot massages as there are pressure points that can cause your uterus to contract.

I had a haircut and treatment over the weekend that included a neck, upper back and head massage. It felt heavenly!

I specifically asked my OB about it, sabi nya wala naman daw effect. Otherwise, they would have used it during labor daw.

In my first pregnancy, before I asked my OB, I had a foot massage done and I remember that I felt some dysmenorrhea pain after in my ab area. Which is why I asked my OB in my next visit. She said when she was a resident they'd ask the PT to come and give foot massages to laboring women to help move labor along. I would love to have a foot massage now!

If there is one thing I need, that's a foot massage pa naman.  I'm ok with the rest of my body, it's just the lower extremities that's causing discomfort right now.

When I was pregnant, I always had regular home-service massage (usually once a week, except during first trimester). Nagmamasahe talaga ng buntis yung isang therapist nung suki kong home-service (isa lang, kaya nagpapa-advance booking ako lagi days before).

Upper back, shoulders, arms, legs and calves minamassage sa akin. Pero yung ankles and talampakan, himas-himas lang. Di pwedeng malakas na pressure and di pwede yung reflex, sabi nung therapists. Baka daw kasi mag-contract ang tummy. Lower back, hips and tummy, di nya ginagalaw.

Hi! I'm 35 weeks pregnant now, first baby ko. Mahilig na ko magpamasahe even before pa ko mabuntis. In fact, nagtayo pa ko ng sarili kong home service massage in QC (small time lang naman) and kinuha kong therapists yung mga matagal nang nagmamassage sakin. Luckily, marunong sila mag-pre-natal massage. Pero ako even during first trimester nagpapamassage na ko. The important thing about prenatal massages kasi is di matouch yung mga points na pwedeng magtrigger ng contractions. So iwas talaga. Also, better din if light massage lang though ako kasi natotolerate ko kahit hard kasi alam ko namang walang points na nagagalaw na pwedeng mag-cause ng contractions. Ang magandang effect sakin, una: kahit pa balakang ang masakit sakin, dahil narerelax ako sa upper back and leg massage, may relief na kong nararamdaman sa buong katawan. relaxing and nakakaluwag ng paghinga. also, luckily, siguro dahil sa dalas kong magpamassage (thrice a week or every other day pa nga minsan) Hindi ako minanas at all. Maybe nakakatulong kasi siya sa blood circulation. Just consult your OB first kung di delikado ang pregnancy nyo or if pwede kayo magpamassage kasi though wala pa naman daw talagang concrete study na nagli-link sa massages and pre-term labor, better be safe than sorry na rin. :) Pero nag-ok OB nyo, then go! we need to be relaxed now more than ever. :) Nakaka-happy pa ng mood. :)
