i finally got my very first tat yesterday! girls you might want to try out Ami Zuki of Sushi Doll Tattoo, she's super nice, professional and lighthanded mabilis din sya magreply sa inquiries sa fb page nya and she's gained several recognitions and awards na. one of spot.ph top 10 tattoo shops in manila. haha sorry panay endorse. super happy lang ako sa work nya. i didn't even cringe, nakakabitin pa nga kasi super simple lang ng design sa center upper back ko. the experience was amazing! it stinged a bit but really, i found it quite enjoyable

mine's priced at P1500 sis (2.5"x1.5"). i think kapag colored nasa 2k yung starting price.. other tattoo shops quoted the same design at 2k and 3.5k
fyi tho, nasunog yung tattoo shop nila sa pasig, so she temporarily accommodates clients at her condo unit.

got my 2nd tatt yesterday (actually my guy and I - same design but different placements). if it took me 2 years to plan for my 1st tatt, for my 2nd tatt, it took me only 1 week - but we found the design last november pa. different artist this time, but I can definitely say, the quality is very good. artist is Lou LA Analupa (one of the artists in Skinworkz - philtag accredited sya, and he won several awards sa Dutdutan 2015). medyo masakit nga lang compared sa 1st tatt ko but the detailing and overall appearance is so worth the 2-hours of going under the needle. it's a black & gray scorpion yin yang. placement is at the back upper right near the shoulder.

Hi sis @slickchick i'm planning on getting inked by katz. I already asked for a quotation. Appointment scheduling na lang ang next step kaso medyo kabado pa ko hahaha. Plan ko sana sa may forearm ko particularly 3 fingers below the wrist. Is it painful? What did you do before and after you get tattooed? How long does it usually take? How's katz? Nag-tip ka din ba? Sorry andaming question. I'm just excited and nervous at the same time. Plan ko to get it done before april sana

^ hi sis myks8!  is it your 1st tatt sis? for a first tatt, i can say ok si katz. magaan ang kamay nya. though i'm not sure kung gaano kasakit ang sa forearm because my 2 tatts are both located at the back.  my 1st tatt is on my upper back sa may batok/spine. phoenix yung design. mga 5-6 inches yung size. 1st tatt was done by katz sa 55tinta. di ako ganun nasaktan except for the areas na malapit sa buto. nag start yung actual inking mga 4pm natapos kami mga 7pm. what did i do before the tatt session? ah may konting daya ako.. nag take ako ng ponstan mga 30-45 mins before the start of the session. hahaha! it helped.  during the session, i kept myself hydrated by drinking water. may baon din ako na candies (not chocolate ahh..) para mag-up yung sugar level ko para bawas din sa pain. i ate a heavy meal / merienda din before going sa shop. i slept early din the night before. for the after care, alam ko may mga tips si katz on her website on how to care for your new tatt. sinunod ko lang yun. yes nagtip ako sa kanya, pero sabi ko pang starbucks merienda lang. mga gaano ba kalaki yung target design mo sis? colored or black/grey? good luck sis! kaya mo yan!

Hi sis slickchick! Thank you for answering my queries naghahanap na lang ako ng right schedule for me. All weekends of 2016 are already blocked kaya weekdays na lang pag-asa ko. Plan ko sana is friday para i still have saturday and sunday to rest. Design plan ko is colored, mga 2x3 siguro, hearts/stars/musical notes combination. I have my base design na si katz din ang gumawa, saw it on her portfolio on instagram. Then she said we can talk about the alterations on the design when we meet na thank you sa mga tips, i'll keep them in mind hindi ba siya super hapdi when you take a bath during the healing weeks? I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Sana i can finalize it na and go through with it hahaha

^ for my first tatt sis, i had several meetings with katz before yung actual inking session namin. though most of it were done sa email. magaling sa colored tatt si katz sis, kaya trust her suggestions pag nag usap kayo. about your question kung mahapdi. in my opinion, mahapdi lang naman ang tatt habang ginagawa sya (the actual inking session) and may areas lang din na masakit. for my 2 tatts, mas nasaktan ako dun sa pag outline kesa sa shading. and masakit kapag natama sa may buto or sa di malaman na area. yung sa shading wala ako naramdaman na hapdi. actually sis, part of the after care is kailangan mo hugasan yung tatt mo - 4-6 hours after you've removed the bandage or cover. wala ako naramdaman na hapdi nung hinuhugasan ko yung tatt. siguro more of muscle pain kasi syempre nabugbog yung area na yun. for the succeeding weeks naman, part of the healing process is yung magbabalat yung tatt mo. during those times naman, magbabalat yung tatt and makati sya - similar to when you've had a sunburn. kaya mo yan sis! if you really want the design on your body, wag mo isipin yung pain. kasi i'm sure you will only go under the needle for a few hours (since 2x3 inches ang size ng tatt mo), pero pag nakita mo na yung final product, sulit naman yung few hours of pain na yun. just my opinion sis ahhh.. hope it helps..

After that, I'll talk to her about my design preferences. Gusto ko sana to have my own design, or to make it my own rather para unique. I think I saw your tattoo on her portfolio in instagram. ^ mas ok sana sis if you can come up with your own design, especially if you're good in art/drawing. para original talaga. you can ask katz's advice naman. she's good sa design and even sa colors. naku sis! dami na ata nagpa-tatt ng phoenix kay katz.. 2014 pa yung sa akin. the phoenix na may sun sa background. good luck sis! hayaan mo lang na ma-excite ka sis. mas ok ang excitement kesa sa fear.

I'm 6 weeks preggy, can I still have a tattoo? Though i read na wag because of the tendency na magka hepa if the artist is not hygienic.. Eh what if kilala naman yung artist and sure na maayos naman sila.. 😢
