On getting a tattoo (Thread 2)

Excited and medyo kinakabahan ako.May sked na ko sa artist.Sa sobrang haba ng pila Next month pa yun sa kin then yun kay bf the next day.Last month pa kami nagpasked.1 client per day lang kasi tinatanggap ng artist para mkapagfocus daw siya.Sana maganda ang kalabasan. Sayang nga di na umabot s Maldives tour namin.

for those who are scouting for tattoo artists (and even designs for your tatts), try going to Dutdutan this September 25-26. several artists and tattoo shops will be in the 2-day tattoo expo. in addition, aside from tattoo, there are also several events within Dutdutan (i.e. concert, drum duels, URCC, bikini contest).

^ sis, i got mine from Tribal store at Trinoma.. though I think almost all Tribal stores sell tickets to Dutdutan. nasanay lang ako sa Trinoma since hindi madali magkaubusan ng tickets dun. 500 yung ticket good for 1 day.

having a tattoo has been on my bucketlist for so long already. Di ko pa din sya magawa! Last month lang, naging super focused na naman ako on having it checked off my list and finally nakagawa na ko ng design and nag-inquire na din ako. Sana mapush ko na this month, any pointers?

^ me too. i plan to have mine below the nape, just a small one, gusto ko yung traveller design na crab. hopefully next year when our kalinga trip pushes through. 

before the year ends i plan to have another one sa right foot near the ankle. for those who have theirs sa foot area, is it extra painful or may special precautions ba sya aside from the usual aftercare? TIA!

if you're from the North, one in Maginhawa street (Teacher's Village, QC) has great artists.
55 Tinta name ng shop. Mababait sila don.

sis quiet_angel18, i agree with sis chicchi143. my first tatt was done by katz lorenzana at 55tinta. ok yung ambiance ng shop - very clean, mabango, airconditioned, friendly people, good music, parang tambayan lang. dami rin sila artist. i chose katz kasi i read some reviews na magaan ang kamay, and she was one of the female tatt artist in the shop na ok sa colored tattoos.

balita ko nga din sis! super ganda nung mga watercolor tats nia. i want her for mine too. c jhay colis naman artist ng bestfriend ko dun which i recommend too kasi magbait as well

^ actually sis, isa si jhay colis sa mga choices ko for an artist. magaling din si jhay sa colored tatts based on his portfolio (well, for me at least ahhh..). but i chose katz for my first tatt para mas comfy yung pakiramdam since babae din sya. mababait naman in general yung mga artist and yung staff dun sa 55tinta. i had several revisions dun sa design ko, but they were very patient, madali kausap, and parang barkada/tropa lang kung kausapin. i can say sulit naman yung binayad ko. kaya nga for my 2nd tatt, nagdadalawang isip ako if i wanted to try another shop/artist. makulit lang si bf and he wants me to try another artist. kasi katz had to do some retouching dun sa 1st tatt ko after mag fade after just 6-7 months. i'm still thinking if i want to try another artist or sa 55tinta pa rin. kaya hindi pa ako makapagpa-tatt ulit.

^sis slickchick, magkano kaya un price range ni Katz? kasi un plan ko patattoo sana is anagram ng names ng mga anak ko dito sa braso...kahit maliit lang...mga siguro less than 3 inches...

sa April ko plan magpatattoo sa birthday ng bunso ko....
