On getting a tattoo (Thread 2)

take it easy sis  normal lang yan. matingkad talaga pag bagong lagay.. then while healing, it will create scabs so parang ang dating e nagfefade. give it a month or so. healed na yon that time at makikita mo talaga ang tunay na color.

depende kasi yan sa ink, how deep yung pag apply at skin color mo. syempre, kung maputi ka at colored ang tattoo mo, mas maganda ang kakalabasan.

thanks sa assurance sis. siguro kasi 1st tatt ko to kaya i'm hoping it will turn out ok. more of fair-skinned ako though hindi naman yung mga mestiza type talaga. not sure how deep yung pag-apply pero most of the areas are still ok (wala or wala pang fading). sige sis, i'll wait for a month para fully healed na talaga. baka naman nalulungkot or nadi-disappoint ako nang hindi naman pala dapat. thanks again sis!

finally got my 1st tatt last saturday.  i can gladly say that the 4 years of planning, researching, and waiting was worth it. my tatt was 5-6 inches in length and was placed on the upper back so aabot sya kahit paano sa spine. there was a bit of pain though dun lang sa portions na close sa buto. not the type of pain na hihimatayin or sisigaw ka sa sakit. or baka magaan lang kamay nung tattoo artist ko (katz lorenzana) or masaya lang yung vibe dun sa tatt shop (55tinta) last weekend, kaya my mind was off the pain. kinakabahan tuloy ako ngayon.. sabi ko before i only want 1 tatt.. ngayon nakakaisip na ako ng 2nd or 3rd.. nakupo.. hahaha! 

sis how much yung rate ni katz lorenzana? Gusto ko rin kasi magpatatt sa kanya. 4"x3" yung size.

^ sis, sa 55Tinta ako nagpa-tatt but my artist was Katz Lorenzana. rate ng 55Tinta ang ginamit. 1500 per square inch pag colored. i think 1K per square inch pag gray/black. i am not sure if the rates are different kapag sa tattoo shop talaga ni Katz (KatzTatzTattoo) ka nagpagawa. hope this helps.

Got my second tattoo (watercolor of the world map) sa upper back two weeks ago, it's almost healed na.

Suuuuper more masakit than my first which is on the inner wrist. As in I was telling my artist na sa pagkakaalala ko ay hindi naman ganun kasakit 'yung una. Haha.

I have one sa shoulder. It starts from the back of my left ear hanggang sa upper arm. Runs across my entire left shoulder.

Pretty long and i just paid my officemate who was a tatt artist around 500 php hehe

^ actually sis, yung sa akin, i'm planning to have it done habang on a trip yung nanay at tatay ko. nakakahiya man aminin, i'm on my 30's na pero i'm still worried that my dad will go berserk pag nakita nya yung tatt ko (partida na i have my own work na and i'll be paying the tatt from my own savings). hindi ko na muna sinasabi ngayon kasi baka isang bundok ng sermon at pray over ang abutin ko. kaya gulatan na lang ang peg pag-alis at pagbalik nila. at least hindi na nila pwede ipatanggal kapag nakita nila. haha! 

reminds me of my dad.. pag daw may nagpatats samin mgkakapatid paplanstahin nya skin namin lahat kami may tats na yon isa lang wala! 2yrs na tats ko di pa nya napapansin planning for my 3rd tats sana bago matapos 2014. sobrang bitchy ng taon nato sakin Lol

^ wala naman nagawa dad ko sis nung nakita nya eh... hehe! he just asked if tunay ba and if safe and sanitized ba yung shop.. natawa ako dun sa "tunay ba yan anak?".. hahah! i'm planning on my 2nd one.. mas madali na nga ngayon, kasi alam na ng parents ko na may tatt na ako, and i guess they are resigned to the fact that i may get my 2nd one anytime soon.. hehe!

i'm seriously thinking about a 2nd smaller tatt sa shoulder... hanap lang ng design or ng quote/word na ok.. i'm also wondering kung gaano kaya ka-sakit sa shoulder (as compared to my first one sa upper back)...

I asked my mom several times if I can get one and she always gets furious and tells me that I'll regret it someday and it doesn't look good. But just this week, she said "ikaw bahala". Maybe she got really annoyed na. lol.

parang sister ko rin, she had her 3rd tat na at di ko alam kung alam na ni papa.  alam niya yong una, pero imposibleng di nakikita ng tatay ko, hehe, nakalugay kasi lagi sister ko e her tats are at her upper back.

she is encouraging me din to have my own tat.  still getting the courage though sabi niya meron naman nong anesthesia na topical.  e ayaw din ni hubby, kaya pinipilit ko muna si hubby para sabay kami pa-tat, hehhe

i've had my first one done at 55tinta last year sis. si katz lorenzana artist ko. the experience went well.  magaan kamay nya. if medyo malaki or intricate yung design ng tatt mo, i suggest mag-set ka muna ng appointment with them to discuss the details of the design. maganda rin mag-set ka ng appointment on the actual date of your inking, para makapag-allot din ng time for you yung artist mo. mahirap kasi yung walk-in tapos medyo malaki or complicated yung design, and you have a target artist in mind pa.

^ nag-inquire nga ako sa 55tinta just now.. a simple compass with tiny symbols lang naman ipapatattoo ko sa forearm ko. Mas malapit kasi sakin ang chronic ink kesa 55tinta pero gusto ko rin yung mga gawa ng 55tinta specifically works by Katz and Jhay.

ako ilang years ko na plan magpa tat since nun 18 ako...kaso up to now ala pa ako makitang design na talagang di ko pagsisisihan.  Pero may gusto na ako line from a book na I would like sana for my inner arm, un quote sa The Giving Tree, ganito "And she loved a little boy very, very much – even more than she loved herself."...may idea na din ako na parang cursive un pagkakasulat, pero ang gusto ko kasi may design din, un ang wala ako idea kun ano ilalagay....

^pwede naman magpa-customize sis kung wala kang exact design pa.. or try googling tattoos na related sa mga gusto mong iincorporate sa tat mo..
Hay, nagpasched ako sa Chronic tattoo pero no feedback na yesterday when I asked them something about the design that I want. So I guess, sa 55tinta na lang ako since okay naman yung kumausap sakin sa phone kahapon, very accommodating and sinagot lahat ng questions ko.

Pajoin. I have the courage, I have the budget, already had an idea what design, i had a target artist already but the  timing... uhh. I really wanna have a tattoo but I'm afraid I might not get chosen when I apply work abroad. I seek advice sa ate ko na nakapag abroad na may tattoo, she said it's okay, but to be sure mag abroad muna daw ako bago magpatats, mas madali daw magpatattoo kesa mag abroad lol.
