On getting a tattoo (Thread 2)

^^ Its been a week na, at sobrang itchy na sya. meron maliit na parang natuklap so pinutol ko ng nail cutter. pag pine press ko masakit pa konti.

P&P tattoos magaling, pero if you read the Bible, bawal talaga ang tattoo sa body natin. I forgot the verse mismo, pero it is really discouraged kahit tattoo sa kilay.

Got my tatto this afternoon... grabe nerbyos ko, im with hubby, nanlalamig ako but when Frances started na, di naman pala masakit, heheh (i guess malakas tolerance ko sa pain)

Had my one and only tattoo done last July. It's a Chinese character (check my FB link for the tat). Took about 1.5 hours to finish and costed me about P1,000. Singaporean guy pa gumawa so I think I got my money's worth.

I'm a big believer in getting a tattoo that means something to you. Not some random stupid little cutesy thing you found online. I also don't like the idea of having a tattoo that someone already has (that rosary tattoo on the foot is EVERYWHERE, it haunts me). It's a lifelong commitment so why choose some mediocre design? Tattoos should be something you can still be proud of years later. On that note, here's pictures of 2 of 3 of my tattoos

My tatts are more than 5 years old, they're all looking good like the day I got them. No need to retouch anytime soon.

I agree with you sis, people should never get a tattoo that does not mean anything to them, or just because it's cute. Masakit na pagsisisi ang aabutin.

I myself have 2 tattoos, one on the upper back and the other is on my lrft wrist area. Both are literary tattoos meaning the design are from my favorite lit works: Lotr and Dune.

Btw, anybody here know any artist that can do watercolor style tats? I want my life-changing, dream- getting celebratory tattoo to be in watercolor style.

pag-gising ko kaninang umaga, naisip ko bigla na gusto ko ng tattoo sa left wrist ko. funny but it's true. I don't know yet kung anong design. hahaha.

I've always been wanting to have a tattoo, pero i really don't know kung ano papalagay ko. haha! years ko ng pinagiispan kung anong ink papalagay ko sa likod ko.

ako din, matagal na ko nagiisip magpatattoo. kaso mahina tolerance ko sa physical pain  , baka ipatigil ko na lang bigla habang tinatatuan ako. masakit ba pag sa wrist?

^^ i have a tattoo on the wrist area. Masakit din sya mga sis but nothing you can't handle. Kung mababa tolerance mo sa pain, you can take pain killers prior to having it done. But of course, many people think that the pain is part of getting the tat.

question lang mga sis. any feedback on Katz Lorenzana? i was searching for female tattoo artists here in the Philippines when i found her as one of the tattoo artists in 55tinta. i checked her website, and her design execution somehow has this body paint effect (parang ni-body paint lang)  - which is the effect i am looking for. hope someone here can give some feedback on her (i.e. bigat/gaan ng kamay, rates, ease/difficulty in talking to her for the design, etc.). TIA!

I plan to get my second tat there eh, feeling ko kasi less painful kesa collar bone up to shoulders.

^tolerable sa upper back sis. may tattoo ako na medyo malapit sa collar bone and yun ang pinakamasakit sa lahat ng ink ko. naka 2 sessions na kami hindi pa rin sya tapos.

ohcmon: Hindi painful sa upper back. It's the least painful tatt I have.
