hi sisses, kami naman ng husband ko nag sa print design. Design and layout ng books and journals for UK clients and local publishers din. then right now we're planning na mag expand mag offer ng services locally invitations, logo designs etc.

This has worked for me for the past months now

Start your workshift early so you would still be able to take care of your "home" and "family" during the day

I used to start working at 7am ends at 3pm, I felt drained and guilty that I dont have that much time for the kids. Right now, I start by 4am and ends at 11am, just half of my day for work and the rest will be for the family and can still squeeze in some time for workout. Hope this helps

Discipline: Just think of how lucky you are to be able to work from home, then you'd appreciate what you do and wont be slacking or wanting to give into temptations of sleeping or putting tasks on hold.

1) set established work time. this gets not only your family to respect your work time but also clients as well.

2) exercise as often as you can. kasi it's not very healthy to be sitting long hours... you know. there has to be fixed schedule, not just when there's extra time around.

3) don't let anyone at home interrupt you during your work time.

4) don't bring food at your work place. just a glass of water will do. this is for health reasons. if you need to eat, do it at the dining/kitchen area.

5) monitor your earnings - daily, weekly, monthly.

6) establish several income streams. very important! you never know when a client decides to drop you for some reason - good or bad; there are also times when freelance projects aren't that good enough.

7) upgrade, upgrade, upgrade your skills so you still stay competitive

don't forget to go out and meet people. if you cannot really meet friends (often true for me), at least go out and mingle with society, even if you are alone in the crowd. it keeps you sane - it can be very lonely at home.

9) save up for an emergency fund - at least 6 months worth of expenses for singles without any dependents; at least 9 months worth of expenses for married people, and singles with dependents. also very important! avoid relying on loans or credit cards to fund any emergencies because the interest costs you a lot.

10) if you are a freelancer based in the Philippines, do note your income is still subject to taxes even if your are collecting income overseas. despite the all the negativity involved in paying taxes, there are still good things out of paying taxes - you can easily get approved for loans, you can easily get approved for VISAs and you avoid getting to be criminally liable for not paying taxes.

kailangan mo muna ng cedula. if you have a PTR kailangan mo rin i-renew yun.

^ Wala raw kaya. Sabi nila, walang employee-employer relationship kami ng kumpanya. Pero may nagpapasweldo samin na kumpanya.

di ako nagfile last year e. Magkano kaya penalty

siguro contractual ka for a local company? kasi wini-withhold nila tax mo (monthly, i guess?)

wala kasi akong BIR 2307 na fina-file.

maybe you don't need the PTR (not sure though). yung cedula muna ang kunin mo, then file your ITR.

^ tama sis, ganun na nga, monthly lagas na yung nakukuha ko. salamat sa info. isasabay ko na sa pagbabayad ng real estate tax para isang lakad na lang
