Di po ako ang apply, in-offer lang sa min actually ni hubby (2 kami)... Sabihan ko kayo sis if need pa nila ang additional part-timers.  Currently kasi, wala na silang vacant slot. When we started here, once a month lang ang salary namin (deposited to our account), but just recently (as per our request), ginawa ng 2x a month

hi mga sis! i would like to subscribe to this thread. very informative.  i would also like to have a part-time work which is home-based. i'm a single parent with a regular job as a [textspeak!] tester, but i also have a passion for writing. since i'm in front of the computer most of the time, i hope i can find either writing opportunities or software testing opportunities that are home-based. sayang din kasi yung additional income.  thanks for all the tips in this thread!

^ thanks for the encouragement sis!  i'm trying to scout several freelance and online job websites. hopefully i can find a part time job that would fit my skills. sayang din kasi talaga yung additional income . and who knows, in case maging successful yung part-time job, it could be my main source of income someday. para more time for my son din.

Try reading oDesk threads and check out other freelancers profiles so you get an idea on where to start. I never had work experience, I didnt even finish my college degree, when I started I didnt have any special skills except typing and common sense lol but Ive been working online for 4 years now, this fact alone should give you all the hope that you definitely can land an online job.

yung basic fear ko is stability. Syempre clients come and go, guna katagal naman kaya yung contracts?

^that's the downside of freelancing sis coz even if its with a contract di parin sigurado. Good if you handle multiple clients para at least hindi Zero earnings mo if one client decides to stop the assignment/project.

hay minsan kasi pag sa bahay andami rin temptations hehe. Kelangan ata may Do not disturb at away from the TV. Feeling ko kung hindi talaga ako magsstop sa corporate work ko ngayon hindi ako mapipilitan magseryoso na maghanap ng online job. Haist.

^I dont mind the temptations sis lol coz for me, I need to take a break every now and then naman or else I feel drained and get a headache. I cant work 8 hours straight, although I really finish my daily tasks but it can be different if you're in oDesk coz may time capture talaga and if your client wants you to be online on certain hours then you really have to follow.

I have a permanent job here in SG. Pero since marami akong time dahil sa shifting schedule ko, I work part time thru oDesk. Nag sign up din ako to be a Mystery Shopper and sa mga inFocus Group. Ito yung magbibigay ng cash/gift vouchers after you join an hour or 2 na panel discussion about a certain topic. Say for example about fast food chains.

Meron akong permanent job ngayon as IT Specialist.  Nag-oDesk din ako before and nakakatuwa kasi kumita naman ako. Kahit na nung una e natagalan ako bago ako makakuha ng job.
Kaya lang, naging madami ang tasks ko dun sa permanent job ko kaya panay na ang decline ko sa mga nagi-invite for interview.

Gusto ko na sana bitawan work ko kaya lang di pa uubra.  Kaya hanap ng ibang sideline na online na di naman kakain ng oras ko at di rin stress.

Ang Dios nga daw talaga, di mo pa dinadasal nalalaman na nya laman ng puso mo.  One day, chinat ako ng kumare ko and inintroduce nya sa akin ang Gold Club 50.  Sa napakaliit na ilalabas mo pwede ka na kumita ng extra income.  Ang kagandahan dito, yun nga di masakit sa bulsa dahil nga 50 pesos lang.  Then magre-refer ka lang ng 4.  Pwede mo lang post sa FB mo yung link mo, panigurado merong magkakainterest dun.  Ang bilis nga kc sa mga kamag-anak ko pa lang may mga nagpa-register na e. 

At first,medyo alanganin ako, pero nung sinabi ng friend ko na yung magiging upline kc namin mawawalan na ng work by end of Oct, tpos messenger lang ang asawa at merong 5 nag-aaral na anak,pinagaralan ko...ok naman sya kaya nagjoin ako.  Laking tuwa nga nya, yung friend ko pa lang narefer nya pero dahil may mga narefer na kami, dami na pumasok kagad sa kanya.  Natuwa din naman ako para sa kanya.

Swerte ko naman at may ganitong thread pala ang GT., good timing dahil napagiisipan ko na mag hanap ng part time job., question lang po mga sissies - meron ba dito na VA ang job? ano pong ginagawa and is the pay good? I applied before as a VA somewhere in Makati but that was 2 years ago., sayang nga at makulit at mabait yung HR nila. I've been working in the call ctr industry for 6 years as an assistant supervisor., pay is good pero ciempre madami gastos., am a single mom with two kids., i was thinking of online tutorial din sa mga japanese/koreans kaso basic lang ang alam ko hindi ko na kasi natuloy yung pag aaral ko noon.
