Sis potpotpo-ngayon ko lang nabasa reply mo. Buti naman pala... Dito kaso paka conservative pdin talaga...minsan makita lang un binti titingnan ka na mula ulo gang paa ng locals na babae yung mga super conservative pa.

^ wow, naenjoy mo diyan sis ah..my bil and sil are also there for about 5 years na..ako naman dito sa Saudi so til Bahrain bridge lang ako..lol

now im going for exit at Pinas mode muna as hubby requested..but if ever di namin magustuhan, we'll try to apply sa open countries in the middle east while waiting for our luck sa Canada or US...

22 months in saudi and still counting. Actually, malapit na nga ako sa kuwait coz border ito ng kuwait at saudi. sobrang conservative sa place ko. Everytime we go out, we should wear tarha and burqa aside from the abaya. So, mata na lang talaga nakikita sa amin. Hahaha! Lately, parang nabobore na ako dito. Patay ang social life, inggit tuloy ako sa mga friends ko na working in other countries. Work is okay naman. Some of the locals are nice, especially the old women. There are times nga na they would kiss my cheek, natutuwa ata sa akin. Hehe. On the other hand, I have bad experiences naman with Saudi men. But I've learned my lesson. I'm planning to stay here until next year then hopefully makapag-exit na.

hope someone will response on my queries. i always wanted to work abroad and since marami na rin namang pinoys in ME, gusto ko na rin mag-work dito.

pano kayo nakapagwork jan? did u apply directly there (as a tourist ba muna)? were u invited by relatives? or did u apply via an agency?

is it true na mahigpit medical if via agency? how much kaya ang placement fee?

in demand din ba office work jan? may age limit ba?

^I applied via agency sa Pinas.  But beware mga Sis ha, make sure the Agencies are legit and also dapat hindi sila kukuha ng placement fee dapat processing fee lang, but that is sa pagkakaalam ko lang na dapat since na-blacklist (sa company) yung agency na yun dahil kinunan kami ng placement fee.

Its not that mahigpit ang medical sa agency, ang mahigpit talaga is yung government ng pupuntahan mong bansa.  Like here in UAE there are specific illnesses and diseases that's a no-no - meaning if you have that sorry di ka pede papauwiin ka talaga.  Plus kung makalusot ka man dyan sa Agency, before you get the Resident Visa stamped on your passport, magmemedical ka ulet dito sa UAE. So if positive ka dun sa sakit na yun, uwi ka din.  Search mo na lang sa google what yung  mga list of diseases na hindi pwede sa pupuntahan mong bansa. Usually naman ata pare-pareho lang. 

If you have an experience sa office-related jobs, mas maganda, but swertehan lang din naman ang paghanap ng work dito.  Meron kase na maliit din ang sahod. Especially if pumunta ka dito na Visit Visa, most of the time babaratin ka ng company knowing that you have limited time to look for a job.  (max 3 months)

I'm working in an office right now - ala-PA ang trabaho ko though iba ang title.  But I started as a receptionist in a restaurant. Then after 2 yrs nagapply ako internally sa company, pinalad kaya nalipat ako sa office.  If bata ka pa naman, apply ka sa mga hotels and restaurants kase dyan maraming hiring and mabilis ang processing, then you just try your luck in finding a job in the office after 1-2 yrs.  Marami akong kilala na ganyan ang ginawa, some are even managers now. But if you plan to, targetin mo yung mga 5 star hotels para mas maganda.

Pero If maganda na talaga ang background mo sa office, pwede din itry mo mag apply sa office positions, although from what I know mas less kase ang opening for that kind of job sa mga agency dyan sa pinas.  Mostly kase sa mga office jobs hindi mabilis ang turnover, unlike kapag sa Hospitality Industry, maya't maya may nagreresign.

Age limit? depende sa trabaho na aaplayan mo siguro.  Not sure about this kase di  naman ako maraming nalipatang company here.  Sa 8 yrs stay ko dito, naka-2 pa lang akong company napuntahan.  Although I know a lot of Pinoy na medyo may edad na rin na nagwowork dito, pero for sure matagal na rin sila dito kaya di na yun issue.
