TCA Peeling Thread 2

^ Hi sis! san ka nag pa TCA ng legs? How much po. TIA

I had mine last year kasi. mukha rin siyang nasunog pero eventually nag peel off naman.  Wala din namang naging problem sa pag suot ng pants. Base on experience ha.

@FrogPrincess as much as possible don't wear pants your skin is so sensitive during this time so as much as possible, no to friction any slight friction might lead to skin darkening

@makuleht from davao po ako and I had my legs treated from a dermatologist here. nanigurado na ako kasi first time eh at least kung ano man mangyari(God forbid) doctor yung tatakbuhan ko.

@bratinellapano kaya yun? takot din ako mag pants eh kasi nga baka instead na maimprove eh mag worsen pa yung legs ko. ano lang pwede kong suotin, long skirt? naku wala pa naman akong mga ganyan sa closet ko. tsk tsk

BTW, it's been 4 days since i had my chem. peel and some part s are starting to peel na very slowly. napansin ko ang daming areas na reddish brown pero may konting "butlig". parang mapa na nakakalat sa legs ko, ang pangit sobra. i'm worried kasi nascratch ko sya lightly on the 1st 2 days after the treatment, di ko talaga kinaya yung kati. baka kasi di na sya mawala eh lalo lang pumangit legs ko.  andami pa naman tsaka anlalaki parang multiple islands. do you think mawawala ang mga to pag na peel off na mga sis?

@FrogPrincess... you may wear pants like cargo... loose pants... i forgot to put/mention "tight fitting" pants or jeans...

if it's itching, then you may want to put on hydrocortisone cream

thanks sis! buti pwede pa rin pala. kala ko magpapalda lang ako sa office bale sis stockings and leggings bawal talaga pala.

^basta may friction sa skin... no no muna loose pants... saka yung mga hindi jeans

frogprincess it's normal naman to have some butligs coming out due to the faster skin renewal  i'm assuming you were provided with a relieving or hydrocort cream for the redness in some areas which again is normal.  remember lang sis to always wear sun block.

nagapply na naman ako sa face 10% lang ginamit ko, kahit manipis lang nilagay nagbabalat pa din, tiis ganda talaga

thanks sa reply mga sis! at least di na ako masyadong praning kung ano result ng peeling na to.
kanina lumabas ako and i wore jeans na medyo tight(pasaway talaga eh  ) pagka uwi ko ng bahay check agad kung nagbago ba itsura ng legs ko, so far di naman. It's been 7 days na since nagpa chem peel ako pero until now di pa rin nagbabalat yung brown spots, yung sa foot area lang talaga nag ppeel.

question: can lotion help make the peeling process faster?

@FrogPrincess lotion will provide our skin with th moisture it needs especially during the peeling process  it won't do any to hasten the peeling process 


@Dyuan ingat sa pagbili sa sulit, etc... yung iba kasi di puro na 10%... possible may halo na water

what's the difference between tca peel and glycolic ?? mas effective tca peel ? tia!

^TCA is a medium depth peel... both are used for mainly the same things, but TCA is better for hyper-pigmentation and since it stimulates the dermis more, collagen will be produced and a more tightening effect can be achieved.

TCA causes the top layers of cells to dry up and peel off over a period of several days -- thus a new layer of undamaged skin which has a smoother texture and more even colour

TCA for me is better, in most cases, glycolic is chosen mainly because the peeling is not as drastic so we can still go about our mundane activities.

mga sis, my legs are peeling like crazy na after 2 weeks kaya [textspeak!] pansin ko yung part na nag frost during application nag peel na sya pero it left a dark mark. parang scar na rin kasi darkertalaga sya than my normal skin even before i had TCA peel. any advice on how to get rid of the dark areas? can I apply anything like bleaching cream maybe to lighten it?

@Frogprincess it was surely because you were using tight jeans, try mo if hydrocortisone will still work.

how much usually quote nf derm clinic sa tca peel?

^^sis tealover, i dunno ha pero kasi the part na nag darken eh sa lower part ng leg ko near the ankles, yung nag frost na areas. pero wide legged pants naman yung gamit ko. tight lang siya hanggang 3 inches below the knee so i guess it's not the cause.

nakaka frutrate talaga,disaster yata nagyari sa legs ko, now mas pangit pa sya sa before the treatment.  grabe parang burn scars talaga sya.

what i am doing now is pinapahiran ko ng fresh aloe vera tapos rosehip oil after morning bath then whiteningcream from derma before bedtime. can anyone suggest any topical creams or natural remedies para ma lessen ang scars? my derma prescribed me that whitening cream tapos pinababalik ako after a week, sabi nya she can help me daw with it through diamond peel. i'm so devastated talga sana di na lang ako napa TCA peel in the first place

hi sis, i wore leggings during my first DIY 10%(twice 5 min. interval) sa legs ko two days ago coz its freaking freezing out here in the midwest, so far so good. hindi pa nag pe-peel. Im going to try again this evening.

@kwang sun medyo mahal sa mga commercial clinics sis.... but of course it will  be safer & at the same time they will be administered or supervised by PDS doctors
