Book: Rich Dad, Poor Dad (simply because after reading this book, I slowly turned my attitude towards money, I used to be a super spender kasi)

Website: Suze Orman (I regularly download her podcasts so I can watch her over and over again if I stray away--when my spending instinct sets in)

My favorite personal finance book of all time is The Richest Man in Babylon. Next is The Millionaire Next Door. I want to read more!

I just read the book "Your Money, Your Life" and it was a waste of time. I only read it because it's on the list of personal finance books to read for newbies.

Well, it really is for newbies and in fact, it assumes that you know zero about finance. It's for people who wonder why they always don't have any money and then realize it's because OH they spend more than they make!

People who have at least the basics of personal finance can skip this book. If you want to make life choices, know how to track your expenses or know more about investing, get different books for each because this one tries to cover it all but fails miserably.

Sa books, "pera mo palaguin mo" by Francisco Colayco is my favorite as its made for Filipinos and OFWs (OFW kasi ako eh). Other books are good kaya lang sometimes theyre more for Americans. Some laws and fundamentals are of course the same, but Colayco's book is really for Pinoys.

With websites, I dont know any, hehe.. :p

Sorry, just wanted to add the book "The millionaire mind" (which is the continuation of the millionaire next door) solely for the fact that there was a chapter about choosing your spouse, which helped me a great deal in choosing mine. hehe.. It sounds bad kasi syempre, a finance book helping you choose your spouse? Pero it was one of the best types of advice I ever took. Sobrang galing ng wife ko as we work as a team and she supports me when I make financial decisions and investments.

My fave - Pera Mo Palaguin Mo by Francisco Colayco. Very informative. I also have the Book 2.

^i also like this book sis. after reading this book, wala na akong naisip kundi mag-save ng mag-save. kulang nalang may peso sign sa mga mata ko. i have not read the book2 but i will soon. my favorite on this book is the income and expenses statement which i did and posted on my wall para makita ko siya every day as a reminder na kailangan kong ifollow.

i would like to read other financial books!!

- all these 3 books are by Francisco Colayco. Very informative especially sa mga newbies in investing and to those who are in the start up stage in saving.  yung workbook naman teaches how to compute your networth, interests,etc. it also made me monitor my monthly income and expenses.

It's like the Pinoy version of Rich Dad Poor Dad.
