can anyone tell me anong effects ng amethyst? i bought an amethyst pendulum. i don't know how to use it naman. di ko kasi alam kung rose quartz, yung clear or yung amethyst ang pipiliin ko. sa color na lang tuloy ako ng base. thanks in advance

Sis, I also have an amethyst pendulum. Amethyst is a good stone for spiritual pursuits. It's good to hold an amethyst when praying or meditating. It is also a stone for protection. My rosary is made of amethyst and I really feel a certain calm whenever  I use it.
Use your pendulum. You can use it to answer yes or no questions. Maraming topics sa internet on how to use a pendulum. Best of luck!

mga sis kami naman ni hubby bought crystals, amethyst for the two of us para daw sa general health and yung moon star ba un? it cost us around 10k! grabe! nagulat kami hahaha! sa yin and yang kami bumili dun sa may manila pen. i think effective yung amethyst kasi days before we bought it i had sore throat specially when i wake up masakit lalamunan ko. pero the next morning when i woke up with the amethyst bracelet i don't have my sore throat na. yung crystals nga they have streaks of gray.

pero now that i feel ok the amethysts are dark purple na ulit.

sis wildbutterfly26, curious lang ako. what does your amethyst look like? is it a pyramid, generator or bracelet? medyo mahal but if it's effective then ok lang. crystals do have healing effects and amethyst is a good all around crystal.

it's a bracelet, sis. yup mahal nga siya. maybe because the shop is in s hotel? i don't know, really. pero iba feeling ko sa bracelet ko parang gandang ganda ako sa kanya at gustong gusto ko siya kahit na simple lang siya and nothing unique. hehe...

what the feung shui expert said that we should receive the crystals using our left hand and wish/hope with it before we wear it. i want to believe n effective siya kasi mahal eh. hahaha! pero napansin ko nga since wearing them yung headache ko hindi na ganun kalala unlike before specially kapag delayed ako or i missed a month's mens.

Magandang klase siguro yung crystal amethyst na yan Sis. And I believe it helps alleviate your headache kasi yung color violet resonates with the crown chakra na nasa tuktok ng ulo natin.

WILDBUTTERFLY -  interesting, that your amethyst became darker.  Usually, through time, amethysts lighten in color -- specially if exposed to sunlight for long.  But I agree with you and LUNAYSOL --  amethysts are 1 of my favorites.  There is a variant - ametrine (combination of amethst and citrine). 

Try to get hold of a simple book, or just Google crystals. You will find it very interesting. Then you will become aware that crystals call out to you.

Iba iba quality of crystals.  Through exposure, you will learn. Ako dati wala akong sawa looking and asking abroad....   Baket mahal yan?!  Lol.. You will learn soon enough.  Some are of such quality, a bracelet of round beads can set you back by 50thou... Lol, but those who are crystal experts or collectors -- they know at first glance, hindi sila kukurap. (lol, ako magaling kumurap)

About 5 years ago, wala pumapansin halos sa crystals -- so these weren't so expensive.  Kung baga, naka abante kami ng 1 sister ko  who shared my curiosity.  Now, haynako pati plastic, , pati kinulayan artificially -- crystal.  ekek daw at kung ano ano attributes ang cuentos! 

I have a small book somewhere, hanapin ko uli so I can tell you the title -- it is simple and complete, a good one to begin with -- WILDBUTTERFLY.   Crystal study is not  mumbo jumbo -- their vibrations have been scientifically studied to be different from each other.  IMO, these are good aids to focusing energy.

WILDBUTTERFLY -- como handled by other people -- you need to cleanse crytals before you wear these. There are severals ways -- all of which you can do yourself  -- it is in the books.  sabi there are many ways to skin a cat, pwes -- many ways to cleanse. I prefer the shortcut -- I just leave the item in a container on top of white/clear crystals and orange agates overnight.

Now, after cleansing.  -- you gotta Program your crystal bracelet/pendant/whatever.  Concentrate on it quietly and state clearly how you want  it to help you.  This Programming is done in several ways too -- it is in the books, or ayon - Google it. . I like to keep it all simple, so I can do the Programming frequently.  But after you get the different methods used -- bahala ka, whatever works for you.

I have a few crytals I use a lot,  and a lot I acquired kasi.  .... Uhmmm, ang gaganda! Lol.   Now, build up your collection  slowly. Learn to "feel"   crystals... Take your time in building up your collection.   Good quality crystals do not necessarily cost an arm and a leg, but they will sure cost. hehe.  But you
will see the difference, as you have experienced ed with your amethyst  bracelet. ...

Crystals are always cool, regardless of the weather; and heavier vs
     Plastics or synthetics.   

The clearer the crystal, as in the less the cracks or imperfections  within, and the greater the clarity or color definition - the more expensive. 

When buying bracelets, do not be distracted by the borloloys or add-ons, used to camouflage the synthetic beads or inferior quality crystals included.

yes, i believe that crystals attracts you. kaya i stay away from the stores kasi baka maubos ipon ko. hahaha! i am thinking nga to also make a rosary out of crystals pero kailangan yata pagipunan ng bongga? hehe...

i observed my amethyst, yup, i think it's a bit lighter on some parts na nga. but, its been only 2 months since i bought it. btw, is it true that crystals will break if it cannot handle the negative energy of the holder?

^ haven't heard of that. I do not think so.  .    Most crystals are brittle or not as hardy as diamonds, so are prone to breakage. If you wear several bracelets together and go clanking them around on your wrist -- for sure some will develop nicks, and breakage over time. 

While you go along, you will come across interesting ones.  Like bronzite -- it is not rare nor expensive but kinda hard to find. Perhaps because it is an unattractive brown. But hahaha - it bounces back to source negative vibes sent to you.   You will learn, and grasp which crystals go together for you; and which ones do not feel comfortable on you.  (ex. I avoid moonstones, hindi ko pa alam why; also malachite makes my skin itch.).

Serious crystal collectors usually buy a bracelet of 1 crystal -- hindi yung halohalo, yan napansin ko. 
Do not rush into buying; expand your knowledge of crystals first -- then, you will have a better time building up your collection.

Go to Accessory Lab at Rockwell... The girls are friendly. No pressure to buy.  Look at the different crystals there and Google that/those which got you interested.  hwag ka muna buy, yes -- they look enticing. .   You will eventually know at 1st glance authentic crystals vs synthetics/plastic.  Lol, practise ka dun sa A/Lab.  .

Sis Aquacharly, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Very interesting and I agree, crystals are no mumbo jumbo. I do the same processes that you mentioned - cleansing, programming etc. I learned something new from you - ametrine! I looked it up and it's very beautiful.

@ Wildbutterfly26 I've read and have been told that indeed, when crystals break or shatter, it means it absorbed some energy that was meant for you OR it's purpose in your life is finished. I've had 2 crystal bracelets literally shatter and break while on my wrist. And one jade necklace pendant that just shattered as well while I was wearing it. My psychic also told me when this happens for me not to worry. Tapos na ang purpose nya. So I buy a new one.

 My collection is growing. I started with tumbled stones then 1 quartz generator. Now I have quite a few bracelets, more stones, raw stones, etc.

I use them when I'm sick or when my kids are sick. I put the stones on our bodies or make elixirs.

I use my pendulum to guide me on what certain crystal bracelet to wear on a certain day or what crystals to use for healing. Effective naman.

^^  I wouldn't want that to happen to me, una matatakot ako sa lakas ng bad vibes sent my way although hmmm... I can think of several people gustong gusto ako itumba.  hahahaha
also I wouldn't want that happening coz all my crystals, I got when I was happy, not stressed... talagang blissful nga when I set out to look and buy;  or given by a favorite sister who shares my interest in crystals. 

Pero, WILDBUTTERFLY26, I have had beads but not entire bracelets/necklaces/pendants break on me.  Coz they all clank on my wrist, lol.

How do I choose which crystal to wear for the day?
Instinctively.  (I do not color match with my outfits.) 
I always wear a clear crystal bracelet of round beads with gold threads inside kasi lol  suerte sa business!  oo, when Chinese or Indian people who know crystals see it.. pinag-iinitan, buy from me daw or where did I buy? (Crystal World at The Venetian - Macau.  na swertehan ko lang coz it is really full of really very  gold threads.  Pero grrr at that time, I did not feel ok to buy another expensive bracelet -- full of red threads!  shucks, to-date going 2  years na, hindi pa ko nakakita uli ng ganon, and I have even been back to that Venetian store several times na)

Then I just pile on what calls out to me.  Pag panahon ng rages .. that blue angel lace to tapyas my rages.  Pag lowbatt -- citrine, or pag busy -- citrine din.  Pag kulang ako sa goodwill to all men, amethyst. Pag alam ko may meeting ako hostile yung kabila, or hindi maganda pag uusapan, or I feel threatenedd which takes a lot coz ako usually threatening, lol) -- amethyst never fails me.   Most of the time, ametrine is my favorite -- so beautiful, the gold and deep violet combination.

 

Pero, LUNAYSOL, yes there are times when I wear a certain crystal for a certain ailment.  surprisingly, it clears up fast.   Lalo na if you wear it to bed around your neck.

WILDBUTTERFLY26, it does not matter que malaki or maliit your crystals.  But the clearer, or better quality, the better its vibrations, IMO.  So, meron akong small ga-paminta crystals I  wear to bed, pag naisipan ko (so subconsciously, means kelangan ko wear), small and short around the neck.. so looks like a thin gold chain, ganon lang, and comfortable.

TOURMALINES have been on my radar for awhile.  Como hindi ako mapakali, LUNAYSOL, I gifted myself a kinda pricey small bead clear tourmaline bracelet, yung iba ibang colors of tourmaline.

If you get near Chinese Arts & Crafts in HK, Tsimshatsui, near the Star Ferry .. you will see tourmalines on display, nothing big in size.. mga size 11  lang.  But my goodness!  Almost half a million pesos for a necklace with just a simple clasp.  (Hindi ha, hindi ako buy anything doon.)

Como mausisa ako, and kapalmukz, I had them bring it out to inspect.. para alam ko naman what is very good quality tourmaline (eh kapal ng presyo, it is an established retail store, so must be good di ba, lol) --  LUNAYSOL, iba ang "ambiance" kung si Erap ang pinasalita mo.  lol   The vibration was like water, yon lang masabi ko, I cannot explain it better.  I am trying to see if tourmalines are better at curbing rages than that angel blue lace.

I have not yet seen tourmalines of different colors in such uniform quality on one necklace or bracelet yet, here.  If you have seen one, please point me to it.  Hindi, hindi ko buy, usisain ko lang.  lol. 

So WILDBUTTERFLY26,  that is how I learned mostly about crystals.  Sa kaka see, kakatanong, kakakulit.  People always share why a crystal is priced so high, why it is special, etc etc. Tapos, kikilabutan ka na pag nadaanan mo mga "crystals" sa Greenhills tiangge.  lol    Some, known "charm" stores too,  susko, the stuff they peddle!   

Sabi ko sa friends ko, ang swerte nasa iyo, hindi sa bracelet/charm/ritual/whatever.   You just have to listen to your inner voice.  These crystals or whatever, are just aids to focus energies.  So  yon nga, hanapin mo muna yung energy.

i am here in sg and trying to do research on where to buy one. gusto ko n rose quartz kasi pink. hahaha! un moonstone pala good for the emotions and balance the hormones. i have an egg and a bracelet. sarap tingnan ang hawakan.

^Yung pa big pa lang nang moon, as in before  sya full moon.. You can get that from a calendar.

^^ you like pink? .  Look at rhodochrosite.. Shucks, am so forgetful!  I will have my cleaner search for that small book.  Get back to you.  But try to google pink crystals... Lots more interesting than  rose quartz, their vibrations  are stronger too. .
