at what age niyo pina-start schooling mga babies niyo?

^Same here, sis. Many of our friends are asking why ang aga daw pinasok sa "school" si baby ( 2 yrs 5 months) but hubby and I actually think it's good for her to develop her socialization skills and yun nga, pagsunod sa instructions. Medyo umiiyak iyak pa rin sya pag hinahatid pero saglit na lang (it's her 3rd week na) unlike nung 1st week, may struggle talaga. Ang worry ko lang, unlike her classmates na ka-age nya or even younger, she's not talking yet! Ang alam pa lang nya is her name, Mama, Daddy, Yaya and a few random words.

^Talaga sis? Sana nga. Part of my paranoia stems from the fact that I'm actually a linguist (yes, I have a doctorate in Linguistics) so I know the stages in language acquisition and medyo delayed na si baby ko.

May baby just started attending pre-primary classes and she's 19 months right now.  She's attending greenmeadows learning Center. Sulit na rin kasi 10months na siya naka enroll.  Included na rin lahat ng materials.

my daughter was 3 and a half nung first sha pumasok at galileo, now she is already prep. 4 and a half na sha. good communication skills naman sha and excited everyday to go to school.

Our daughter was 3 when she started attending daycare/kindy part time. Now were here sa pinas, she's in junior kinder, she turned 4 last june lang

She'll be 3 yrs and 7months by then. Ok lang kaya yun? Natuturuan ko naman siya sa house since i am a stay at home mom. She knows very well the alphabet, numbers 1 to 30 in english, 1 to 10 in chinese, shapes and colors. I also read to her books. Ok naman but there are times na she will tell me that she does not to study. She just wants to play lang daw. Hinahayaan ko nalang para hindi naman siya matrauma. Hehe. Thanks

My daughter started at 3.4, dapat pre-nursery level but dahil sa K-12 program naging senior nursery na sya kagad. So far, so good. I can see that she's enjoying school so much.

hi sis, ok lang yun, di naman need madaliin ang pagaaral, and the time you have for her is priceless kasi ikaw mismo nagtuturo sa kanya, for all you know, baka mas advance pa sha sa iba nyang kasabayan pag pasok nya. and tama lang na 3 and 7 mos na sha nun, ganun din daughter ko nung nagumpisa last year, she was only 3 and a half, now she's 4 and a half, in prep. next year grade 1 na sha. now mas enjoy nya ang school nya dati 3 times a week lang pasok nya, sometimes hirap din gisingin ng maaga, ayoko naman mastress sha sa pag pasok sa school, it should be fun and exciting for her.
kaya enjoy nyo lang time nyo together to learn new things for her.

princess lorraine - If I were an SAHM, I probably wont feel the need to send her to school right away, except siguro for Gymboree or Kindermusik para she can interact with other kids. I' sure you're doing a really good job in teaching your daughter. Such a nice quality time
But since my husband and I are both working and yaya and my mom lang kasama ng daighter ko lage sa house, naisip ko na din na better yung early exposure. My daughter is turning 2 pa lang this September so next year na lang muna.

Thank you so much sisses cassiopeia and twelfth goddess!  kakatouch naman. Hehe medyo mahirap na masarap maging sahm. Pero mas more on the happy side.  natutuwa nga husband ko and family namin on both sides kasi kahit ako lang daw nagtuturo, marami na siyang alam. There are times na masipag siya mag aral. As in very attentive talaga. But there are times din that she will tell me mama, i dont want to study. Play play lang. Hinahayaan ko nalang muna. Ang hindi lang ako marunong yung sa arts. Kaya i can't teach her on that. Next year nalang when she goes to school na.  the daughter ofy friend who is the same age with my daughter already goes to school. I asked her kung ano mga tinuturo. She said mga numbers, shapes and colors palang daw. Sabi ko alam na ng daughter ko yun. Tana naman pala tinuturo ko.  thanks so much sisters! 
Sis cassiopeia, parang advance daughter mo sis. She's 4 palang this yr then next yr she will be grade one na? Galing!

^Sis, your child is super smart! I have twins and SAHM din ako pero hindi pa nila alam ang lahat ng alam ng baby mo. You must be doing something good there.

Basta, for us... no pressure! We just have to let them love learning. For now, we have to make them feel secure and loved. Academics are good but, if a child is learning the way your kid learns, then... just keep on doing that.

Puro play and learn lang kami (kasi I have 2.5 years old na twin girls). I enrolled them in Ballet (once a week lang) and Kindermusik. Then, we do tot school mga 2x a week. I bring them din at Gymboree paminsan minsan and sinasama pag sundo kay Kuya.

Ayoko mangyari yung nangyari sa kuya nila... he started too early in school (around 3). He knows all the letters, numbers, shapes, simple addition at that age. 2 years in school somehow tire him out - that I homeschooled him for prep. Hindi gumanda ang effect sakanya and I also felt na iniwan ko sa school ang responsibility na turuan siya unlike nung toddler siya na tutok ako.

I guess, lesson for me is to take it easy and enjoy their toddler years... it's not a race.

tama, take it easy and not in hurry naman,, kahit nga for us moms learning progress din , im a sahm most of the time, flexible kasi work schedule ko, sis princess lorraine, turning 5 this december daughter ko, maaga nga ata kasi nung pumasok sha 3 and a half, nung pina assess ko ok naman daw sabe ni teacher, for prep na daw this school year, kasabay nga nya yung pinsan nya prep din, but she's already 6 y.o nung pasukan, yun naman mejo late nila pinasok, pina assess din sha for grade one na daw dapat,kaya lang her dad wanted to start her sa prep muna para daw di mastress.

Thanks so much sisses iceebaby and cassiopeia!  tama kayo sis hindi natin dapat madaliin. Misan lang naiisip ko baka nahuhuki na baby ko kasi yung ibang ka age niya schooling na. Pero sabi ni hubby marami narin siyang alam eh. And once in a while i bring her to gymboree in trinoma and tiny town in moa to play with other kids. Next year naman she will be going to school na eh. Sabi ni hubby ienjoy ko muna daw yung quality time namin ni baby everyday. Naku when she goes to school next year mamimiss ko talaga siya kahit half day lang siya sa school. Hehe. I will be enrolling her as senior nursery in chiang kai shek college. Kelangan na magsave up for her schooling. Thanks so much sisses.

mga sis any suggestion san maganda ipasok ang kid pag yung gusto mo lang ma improve yung social skills and speech. may son kasi advance narin siya sa mga alam niya SATHM mom din [textspeak!] ako. turning 3 siya this end of july pero marami narin siyang alam ABC, 1-40, shapes, color, can read some one syllable word and knows how to spell, even missing number marunong na siya at sounds ng every letter. kaso mukhang kulang pa socialization skills niya since kami lang 2 lagi magkasama and his speech di pa ganun ka fluent. actually, pina try out ko siya yesterday sa toddler class sabi nga ng teacher advance na siya. In this toddler class tinuturuan narin sila ng ABC, numbers color and shapes unlike sa ibang toddler class pure play lang.. naisip ko kc na alam na ng anak ko mga ito so yung benefit lang na makukuha niya is during play time at magkaroon ng socialization.. iniisip ko parin kung worth ba na ipasok ko dun sa ibabayad ko... any suggestion mga sis. thanks.

my son is 2.1 this month, and hubby and i plans to enroll him here at Academia de Bellarmino for a play class, since medyo di pa sya gaanu nakakabuo magsalita, although he speaks "mommy, daddy, pen for open, gas for hugas kamay" mga ganun, pero karaniwan puro sigaw and infant syllables like nananaa, mamama, dadadda, etc... kya we decided to enroll him, hindi lang yun pati na din yung socialization skills nya, kahapon when we had our visit sa Childrens little university, nagulat ako kasi ayaw niya pumasok sa loob ng classroom dun lang sya sa play area, as in sobrang sumigaw sya at nag iiyak, kaya tlagang hubby and i decided to enroll him sa academia kung san siya pumasok at di gaanu umiyak. Naka attend na din sya ng summer class sa Carmel Child, kaso since medyo namahalan kami sa carmel for his age, di namin siya ieenroll dun, although Carmel is a very good school for toddlers like him, nag enjoy nga ng sobra anak ko dun, unfortunately, di pa kaya ng bulsa namin, so eto nakahanap kami ng school na malapit sa area namin na cheaper pero same type of classroom orientation and pagturo... sana everything will turn out okay, he'll be starting his class on sept 10...
