at what age niyo pina-start schooling mga babies niyo?

they said the new cut-off for the K-12 is June. is that right? paano na lang those kids who were born august or september? they'd have to repeat the whole year pa? just curious since a friend's situation is like such.

^ Yes.  Qualified sila for the following year na.  But for me, it is better if your kid is older than if he is younger.  Iba kasi kapag mas mature na ang bata.  Kaya I am worried for my boys kasi sila magiging youngest sa class.  Sobrang playful at hindi serious pa naman sila.

^true marose, youngest din anak ko sa klase at napaka-playful pa at halata na mas matured na ibang classmates na mag 7yo na. When i sent out her bday invites last week most mommies commented na mag 6 pa lang pala sya this june. Mga anak nila malapit na raw mag 7 yun isa next month 7 na, yun isa sa aug at isa sa nov. At their stage, malaki ang difference sa maturity kahit months apart lang.

^that is the case for my friend. magre-repeat yung kid nya. what's frustrating is that the school will bend that june cut-off for incoming students. pero sa old students susundin yung june cut-off. asar di ba? it's not really about maturity kasi kaya naman ng anak nya from her own assessment.di nya naman pipilitin kung alam nyang hindi kaya ng anak nya e. syempre sya din naman ang mahihirapan kung ganun di ba? i dunno. sana di na lang nila iniba ang cut-offs kasi ang gulo e. but as with any school, students/parents talaga ang magcoconform.

My pedia advised me to start at 2 or 3. Ayoko naman ng 2 parang too early pa for her. So naisip ko tama na nga na mag-start sya at 3 especially since my hubby and I are both working and yaya lang ang kadikit nya maghapon.

I enrolled my 2.5yo son for pre nursery. He enjoyed his summer class kasi but I made sure that he will not be pressured into "studying" or for grades. This is the first thing I asked the teachers, if me grades ba ang prenursery? Wala naman daw and monthly assessment lang. Like most moms here, hubby and I are both working so most of the time si yaya lang ang kasama ni baby. Rather than makuha ang wrong pronunciation ni yaya or watch tv the whole day, we decided to enroll him sa school. Atleast he will learn while playing plus masocialize pa cya. Hubby and I both agreed that at first sign na mastress siya, stop na namin. Mahirap na, maaga pa kasi eh. Bala tamadin sa school pag lumaki na.

1.9 yrs old si baby last year ng ipasok ko sa playschool. Last march, at 2.6yo, she took assessment test for nursery and kakatuwa lang she passed the test with only two mistakes. May test paper si teacher and generally mga identifications lang ng alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, and some objects. Also questions like her what is your name, how old, where do u live, names of parents. She failed to identify trapezoid and object log. :-) So the school said ok na daw si baby for nursery, mas mabilis na nga raw maturuan since sa sounds na sya tutukan kasi marunong ng mag-identify. But i was really hesitant kasi i was thinking kung 2.9 nursery sya, say maipasa man nya ang lahat ng level, 5.9yo pala grade 1 na sya?? parang ang bata pa. so after few months of discernment, i decided wag sya ituloy sa nursery ng traditional school, kahit pa sabi nila nag-incorporate din sila ng montesorri approach.

2.9yo she will be in a montessori class. walang level naman daw. next year ko na lang sya ilipat for formal schooling. Takot din kasi ako baka mabully kung sya pinakamaliit sa klase nila. :-)

Originally, my daughter was enrolled on pre-nursery this school year, but because of K12 she was moved to senior nursery, she's now 3.4 and first time in school. Hopefully ma enjoy naman niya sa school.

Given the k-12 issue, I think we'll have Lucas go to summer school at 3 years 2 months, tas go to mixed trad - montessori approach na preschool at 3 years 4 months for nursery / senior nursery.

3.4 y/o na daughter ko this June & Junior nursery siya ngayon. I enrolled her at the same school where she had her summer class. So far so good, enjoy naman siya. First day of class nila kanina

My daughter's birthday falls on September. Next year balak ko na sana sya mag-toddler program but she'll be 2 years and 9 months pa lang by then. Ok na kaya yon?

my 2yo and 11 mos. dau naman will start her school this coming monday as pre nursery, nakakatuwa lang kasi excited siya pumasok sa school. pinag summer class ko din siya to check her readiness,. just like her, super excited din ako for her. good thing na naiiwan namin siya at hindi siya naglulupasay pag wala ko sa tabi niya parang ako pa nga ang may separation anxiety, hehe.
 
1hr ang class niya, atleast everyday yung 1 hr na yon eh maraming siyang matututunan, imbes na nasa house lang siya with yaya.

I think okay lang.  Girls mature earlier than boys.  When my sons started preschool at almost 3 years old (June-born sila), they had classmates na girls who were younger by a few months.  Sayang kasi ang time, rather than mag-wait ka until 3 years, 9 months old.  Sa akin lang naman ito.  I chose to put my kids in preschool for socialization and at the same time, may matutunan din sila, rather than having them stay home with the yaya all day.   It worked for us.

^^^ same po pala babies natin, september din si baby. :-) ok lang yun kasi si baby ko nga, 1.9 nag-start hehe. Pero merong mga schools, na strict sa age. Just like sa isang school na gusto ko rin sana, kaso kahit assessment lang, ayaw nilang i-assess si baby, kasi kahit daw pumasa pa, hindi talaga sila tumatanggap ng below 3yo by June. Ginamit pang example yung anak nya. Anak nya nga raw, October born naman, pinaghintay pa daw ng isang taon para lang tanggapin ng nursery sa school na yun.

yung pamangkin ko naman mag 3 yo siya by november, sabay silang nagsummer class ng dau ko unfortunately, ayaw niyang magpaiwan sa yaya niya even sa loob ng classroom. although, excited siyang pumasok pero pag andon na siya ayaw niya mag paiwan minsan makiki sing and dance siya minsan naman hindi, kaya si sil nag decide na wag na lang muna siyang papasukin
