^ e malamang ang entries sa arts and drawing contest nila e yung naiisip ko, or should i expect more sa mga 3 yo dun sa school? at contest sa dance e kung sino mataas tumalon at madaming ikot? hehe. or meron na ding criteria ng gracefulness, eye contact, song interpretation, etc.?

pero i think what you mentioned about kids with SAHM excel more or better vs dun sa working moms. this is not always the case but possible and those moms are school teachers. hehe.

naku kung may "MOST" awards sa school ng anak ko baka napag initan na ako ng mga nanay, eto kasi ang chismis saken ng mga teachers dun. ibig sabihin my daughter responds/participates better than others but i dont care tender care kasi di ko naman goal ang makakuha sya ng award or honor student dapat sya at her age since ang main purpose ng school sya pra di lang si TV at yaya kasama nya sa buong araw.

4y3m yung panganay ko nung nag schooling, kinder na siya. aside sa alam na niya ang alphabet (identifies a letter), numbers (identifies a number, and counting), colors, shapes, before she turned 4yo, marunong na rin siya magsulat. hindi ko na pinadaan sa broken lines. kung paano ako magsulat, ganun ko pinagaya sa kanya.

etong bunso, she's 3y6m now. next year na siya magschool. she'll be 4y6m by then. sa alphabet, hindi pa masyado naa-identify lahat ng letters. ganun din sa numbers, a little bit in counting, minsan sumosobra. colors and shapes alam na lahat. sa writing, puro drawing pa ang gusto, iilan palang ang alam niya isulat sa letters and numbers, and shapes.  mas madaling turuan yung panganay ko. hehe

Your child will usually show signs that he or she is willing to go to school already.  The key is not to be pressured by what others expect or what others are doing or what you expect your child to become.

There is no hard and fast rule..

Don't get affected by others' opinions..you, as parent, are the best judge of your child's capabilities/personality.  If your child is inherently curious and active, give him the activities that will channel his energies efficiently. If your child is laid back and quiet, give him time to adjust and feel comfortable with his surroundings, etc.

Don't compare. Going to school early or having school awards, does not guarantee success in life, it only gives the person an opportunity to get to where they want to be.

Just accept the fact that you won't get 100% approval from everyone.  If you teach your child early, some may think you are pressuring your child.  If you allow your child to play, some would think that you are not concerned.

For me, what is more important is that this early, my children develop a love for learning that they will hopefully have for the rest of their lives.

yung eldest ko 2 1/2 yrs old sya nung nag start ng formal school, maliit pa lang kasi nakita ko ng mahilig sya sa books at love na nya mag school talaga, while my second child naman 4 na sya nag start di ko kasi nakita sa kanya yung eagerness ni ate before, pero nag excel din naman sya sa school, now she's in grade 1 nag skip sya ng prep buti na lang nakatipid ng 1 year

^pareho tayo sa ate at bunso. pero kami nursery lang ang na-skip sa ate. dito sa bunso ganun din siguro. baka kinder rin siya mag start next year @4.

my son will turn 4 next year but am still thinki ng kung mag school na sya kc advise na man sa akin ng pedia kung recognize naman alphabet, numbers, colors etc. better sa house lang daw muna para hindi na nahahawa ng ubo at sipon lalo daw sa panahon ngayon hindi maintindihan ang panahon.

my son is now 2 years old. May nagregalo sa kanya ng study table set and whiteboard so I plan to convert an area of our sala as a mini classroom. Mahilig kasi akong magturo sa bata and ako na muna ang teacher ng anak ko.   I plan to send him to a formal school ng 4 or 5 years old na siguro. We have free day care services sa office if I want him to socialize with other kids his age.

^^yan din advise sa min..baby boy ko kasi 2.6 months marunong na colors, shapes, puzzle, numbers and alphabet..although bulol pa talaga, nage-gets ko naman 

So pinagiisipan namin mabuti kung isesend na ba sya next schoolyear. Sa house lang kami most of the time, with his 1 year old sis and i let them watch Disney Jr, Baby TV and Nick Jr.. Responsive naman sila and i teach them syempre, iba yung may encouragement and kasamang play and lambing..kaya nga nagwo-worry ako pag nag-work na ko. Anyway, pag dayoff ni hubby we go to playhouses para maki-socialize naman sila sa ibang kids, but sa pabago bagong panahon, minsan di kami makaalis

my tot started play school (with parent participation) at 1 yr and 9 months, she's 2 yrs old now. She's enjoying it so far and hopefully this will help her become independent and develop her skills better.

husband and i are trying to gauge where she excels. She's very active and enjoy gymnastics at class. we still have to discern if this is where she will continue her classes or in other play schools near our place.

my daughter started schooling shortly before she turned 3 to attend toddler school. last year, halos wala silang assignments. madami na siguro once a month.

this year at nursery level, almost every Friday, they have worksheets that they need to accomplish at home. Personally, I like the idea at least more or less  I can gauge which are my daughter's strengths and weaknesses.

Yung baby ko pinasok ko muna sa Ballet School, 1 year and 5 months siya nung pinasok ko. Slash playschool na din, kasi may storytelling bukod sa ballet class. Main goal namin ni hubby eh makapagsocialize si baby with other tots kasi walang bata dito sa may amin. Plano namin by age 3 na namin siya ipasok sa formal school. Pero ngayon ganun muna. Enjoy naman si baby

Yup...this is my same dilemma before. The right age for the child to go to school, wala palang right hehe...My little girl's pedia told us before na once makita mong ready ang anak mo, then go for it. So, once I've saw her getting bored and needs a social life, I've started enrolling her to a swimming class, 3yo sya nun and she enjoyed it, then enrolled her to a summer enrichment class, and she really enjoyed it. So nagtuloy tuloy na yun, Now she is turning 4 and nursery na sya same school pa din in Little Presidents Learning Palace sa Malacañang. So far so good. It's a progressive school. But next year Me and Hubby are planning to enrolled her at Dominican for her Kindergarten and starts the Traditional/Big School Environment. Hope everything will be fine hehe...Goodluck to all!

1 yr 9 mos old start si baby sa playschool. today she's 25 months old. sa kakatapos lang na developmental assessment, one of the dev ped recommendations is that she may continue her toddler class. :-) i give credits to her playschool sa score na nakuha nya sa assessment. her personal/social skills gets 2.8 months ratings. advance ng 7 months.
