Haps, she's enrolled in their Pre-school Program and not in the regular classes (i.e. Play and Learn, Music etc). It follows the same full academic year like other pre-schools. This coming school year she'll be in Kinder class (equivalent to Nursery in other schools).

3 1/2 son ko start siya this june. The kid has to be ready when entering school. Maraming kids nagkaka separation anxiety pag too early pinasok sa school. I read somewhere kids as young as 2-3 should be taught at home by parents first with basic life skills. Kailangan prepared talaga siya if he's able to feed himself or if potty trained na siya. Playschools are perfect for kids na too young pa.

lilsaintsm0m, I just remembered. I bought a book at NBS on Activities for Toddlers. It gives me a wide variety of things that me and my son can do at home lalo na ngayon at school holiday.

Very good decision ang pagpasok ng son ko sa playclub at a young age (18months). Worth every dollar spent. Mahirap talaga pag working mom kasi. At least kahit ilan hours lang in a week (2hrs/class sila and twice a week) ay hindi si yaya lang nya ang nakikita nya. Kahit pa meron akong module na binibigay kay yaya, i felt like iba pa din ang pwede nya matutunan sa school. Lalo na ang socialization skills niya.

Kime, ang laki laki pa ng banner nila ng DARWIN. Naalala nga kita kasi last week lang umuwi kami. Gusto ko tanggalin ang banner sa labas. LOL

My daughter started school when she was 3.11 years old. (July celebrant). Mukhang ok naman kaya lang may pagka-mahiyain. Wala kasi siyang naging kalaro dahil walang bata sa vicinity.

Now, enrolled siya every Saturday and Sunday sa ballet class to teach her the proper posture and to make her gain self-confidence  She's 4.11 this time.

ako plano ko enrol si baby ko din kapag 18months na siya sa ballet class, para lang may interaction with other toddlers plan ko din sana siya enrol na sa preschool when she turns two next year kaso mukhang wag muna, baka magsawa. Siguro Saturday class nalang, dito kasi sa bahay madaming tao kaso puro na kami oldies no plans din of having another baby soon. Kawawa naman si baby, ang alam tuloy niya magpunas ng floor and toys niya. =p

My daughter started going to school saling pusa at 4 y/o. I observed her muna kung interested talaga sya matuto or gusto lang ng kalaro. Yung school nya sabay ang laro at learning pag toddlers pa lang. so tinuloy tuloy ko na. basta dapat di pressured yung bata yaan lang mag enjoy at matuto para di maburn out agad.

tama sis kaya ako I'm looking for a progressive school talaga for my daughter, ako kasi medyo hindi din masyadong happy memories sa traditional school. Ang bibigat ng bags hindi tuloy ako lumaki I've read one article in Philippine Star regarding little kids on traditional school na tipong nawawala na daw yung pagkabata kasi some school everyday ang homeworks, ganun din ako nung bata. Pero siguro ako ready na ako and sana yung baby ko pumasok sa toddler school at age 3.2 March kasi birthday niya

Mga sis, yung mga pinasok ang babies nila as early as 3, anong sched nila? 5/week ba? or 3/week lang? tia

^ Sa kids ko, 5 days a week, from 8 am to 11 am.  Montessori school.  No homework.  So far, so good.

Pia, ako rin, gusto ko baklasin their tarps. Sabi nga nung friend ko, si Matty ang sumira sa claim ng Darwin na disciplined kids dahil di raw nila napagsulat sa room. LOL

Anyway, we will enroll Matt sa Gymboree Saturday SF class. I have no class on Saturdays so I can drive him to TriNoma. Then I saw sa brochure that they have Nursery-- if my memory serves me right, MWF then 2PM ang start to 5PM yata? Can somebody please enlighten me? Kasi if ganito nga ang sched nila for Nursery, I might as well consider Gymboree pag mag-school na sya next year- he'll be 4 years and 2 months old then.

sis swtgrl_bee - Sana nga naisip na namin yang ballet when my daughter was around 2 years old. Just last month lang talaga kami naging interested (ako, MIL and my daughter lang LOL). My hubby was really against it. Feeling nya, pang-career ang ending nitong lessons 

Pa-add din ako sa sinabi ni sis marose17, same na 3 hours lang ang school then every Friday lang may homework na more on practice/reviewer nung pinag-aralan that week ang pinapagawa.

I enrolled our daughter in a pre-school near our place when she was 4 na for Nursery. Before that, homeschool lang kami and I would teach her using Starfall and workbooks. I felt like it was too early naman for her to be going to school at 3, medyo may separation anxiety ako. Hahaha!

my son started schooling at age 2.6yo (not sure, basta b4 cya mag 3) for 2 or 3 months yata  .
sched was m-f 10am-12nn, mga 2-3km/30mins away from home depende pa sa trapik w/ service.
then stop cya a month before his 3rd bday. school ulit after his 3rd bday, same time pero near our house na lang. the ff yr ulet cya nursery kasi daw late naman na cya nagstart pumasok. hehe, bale almost 2 yrs cya nag-nursery...

Hay ako di ko alam when to send my son..He's  2.5 yrs old na but hindi pa potty trained..eh i read somewhere na parang dapat ata di na nagdidiaper babies before sending to schools..?

^sis, that's not true. a lot of preschools accept children who are not potty trained. my kids started at 18 months and 22 months (well my 22 month old son will start school on wednesday). My daughter attended 2 toddler schools/classes before she was potty trained at 2.5 years old. just check with the schools.

My son started school at 2 years and 3 months as a Pre- Nursery student (but we thought he was included as a Nursery 1 student) in a school in our village.  This year, he will be in Nursery 2 at the age of 3 years and 3 months in a big school.  My daughter  also started at 2 years and 3 months.
 
It's also okay for kids to go to school even if they aren't potty trained yet.  They can wear the pull up diapers in school.  It might also be a good idea to inform the teacher so she knows just in case toileting accidents occur.

Ah really..? Thats good, since ilang hours lang naman class, mapapalitan agad after if ever..
Anyway, how about sa speech? Super gibberish pa baby ko..ako lang nakakaintindi mga sinasabi nya.

^ okay lang naman siguro if he can't talk well pa. Anyway, pre-nursery or toddlers class naman ang level niya e.  It's more of socialization with other kids and learning through play and songs.  It will also help that he will have structured activities for several hours in school.

okay na ballet class for 18-month-old babies, sis? gusto ko yan for my daughter. she loves dancing. ginagaya niya si angelina ballerina eh. she really needs to spend time with kids her age too.
