Kung wala magawa sa staffing, magpa pull out na lang kayo ng staff pag toxic na. I doubt if pakikialaman rin ng DOLE yan.umaabuso mga hospital kasi alam nila na hindi sila mawawalan ng nurses. Maraming naghihintay ng slot.

Ang dami na walang work sa atin, nakakalungkot isipin na ang mga teacher madalas mag taas ng sahod, samantalang tayo na buhay ang hawak natin dedma ang government sa atin.

Yeah, one staff for the whole nicu. To think we have intubated patients and all. The hospital is bull talaga, kahit staff e tinitipid. Hindi ko na alam kung san irereport, dahil parang wala naman mangyayari. Grabe no? Sad.

Hi po! newbie lang sa GT pero 5 years ng nurse. Kilala ko rin si ate xyla from teentalk and blogging Hi ate!

Nakakalungkot lang talaga ang buhay ng mga nurse dito sa Pilipinas. Sa amin wala naman problem sa staffing kase hindi naman din ganun kadami ang patients sa hospital. Ang problem lang din sa amin, kapag meron mga problema imbis na tulungan kami ng chief nurse namin kakampi sa administrators.  Pro-admins and Pro board members imbis na mga pro nurses.

Nung nagkaroon ng utos ang pangulo na magkaroon ng salary increase ang mga nurses. Meron waiver na pinacirculate sa amin at pinapirmahan para wag muna kami isali sa increase. Siyempre, wala naman na kami ibang magawa kundi pumirma.

tertiary hospital naman kami, pero i dont know. Nahihirapan talaga ako magisip kung pano kikita ang department namin coz we rely heavily on deliveries. Eh sa hirap ng buhay, nagdedecline na ang mga nanganganak.

It's been awhile. And now, I am a Registered Nurse and currently unemployed
Just resigned from being a Company Nurse, nakakatamad yung wala kang ginagawa and yung nagaantay ka lang mautusan sucks! kaya ako umalis dun sa company.
I was actually looking for a job that doesnt require shifting schedules. kasi I have 1 yr old son and I was left to take care of him. Well kasama ko naman parents kong magalaga but then you know, kapag nanay ka you'll never stop being a mom. Hirap din ng walang income.

Now, I am thinking of actually be Nurse (hospital based) or maghanap ng work sa clinics or sa bpo. What do you think sissies? Hirap magdecide.

Current na yung priority date ko. I'm happy and at the same time sad.. Parang hindi pako ready umalis.. Yung mama ko kasi, lungkot-lungkutan ang peg. Hehe Medyo stressed din coz I need to take IELTS pa for visa screening. By July daw irerecapture yung case ko. Hay.. Ielts...

It's depressing to know that the situation in the nursing profession hasn't changed since I left almost 5 years ago. I graduated and passed NLE in 2009. At that time, there was an imbalance between market demand and supply in the Philippines. Thousands of nurses ended up being unemployed or underemployed. So, to make the long story short, I worked as a call center agent in one of the top BPO companies in the Philippines. It was a decision that jolted my career down a very different path. It was a huge adjustment because I had to work at night. There were days that I am literally pulling myself out of bed. I keep asking myself if this job is really for me. After a year, I decided to quit. The next day, I applied in an insurance company which is still the same company I am currently working. For over three years, I never thought of leaving because I am earning quite enough to support my family. I can travel a lot and buy things I want. And most importantly, my parents are covered with their health card. To be honest, I am surpised that I am able to live a fully corporate life. If you will ask me If I regret taking up Nursing, I will say yes. But I am grateful for all the things I learned.

Mahirap pa rin talaga ang situation ng nurses dito sa Philippines. Ako, I decided to apply sa Saudi. It's not that I was left with no choice. But I want to explore and experience working abroad. Para maiba naman. Mas may career pa yata nurses dun compared dito. LOL

As of now, nag apply ako recently as Nurse Trainee aka Volunteer Nurse sa isang university medical center kung saan ako ng du-duty nung student pa ako. Sana makapasok ako dahil it has been a year since the release of my board exam results. 1 year din akong nagpahinga muna. Haha.

^ Hi sis! I endorsed mine from california to texas. Although I got my finger print card from my agency. I think, if I remember correctly, when I applied for nclex, nag request ako sa CA ng finger print card then they sent it to me via snail mail.
