sis mae_s, sorry kasi hindi din ako masiyadong sure kung saan exactly ang betty's so i can't really say kung gaano kalayo talaga but all the hotels i mentioned are in the scout area which is near lang sa great eastern. hth!

mae_s, you have imperial palace suites, cocoon boutique hotel, lemon tree inn (in front of capitol med ctr), all near betty's.

betty's is good, diyan nagcelebrate party nephew ko a long time ago. Tapos binyag din sa Sto. Domingo. downside lang siguro of doing it there is the undergoing construction along Q Ave and Araneta Ave. Grabe traffic diyan. When ba sis ang binyag?

Cocoon may venue, maganda, bago, may view. pero yung food package ang kailangan maayos.

^ my son's first birthday and his 3rd bday and christening of my daughter was held at betty's place...even if low headroom, ok coz they have nice chandelier..you can check out my photos at my fb (gracey vallarta), sarap ng food and you need not spend too much on setting up the venue, elegant yung venue itself...

you can try also patio ibarra...that's where my daughter will spend her 1st bday january next year...

mga sis nakapag shortlist na kami ng possible venue para sa 1st bday ni baby, i need more feedbacks lang mga sis sa mga nakapagtry na po ng venues, hirap magdecide eh. pa help mga sis.

btw, i have 90 adults and 20 kids na guests. pero im eyeing for venue na kasya ang 100 adults and 30 kids para sure.

1. the columns, makati
pros:
- we have sponsor na
- can fit 80-100 persons daw pero nung nag ask ako sa ibang sis natin here, nagkasya naman daw yung guests nila kahit nagover sa 100 yung guests
- may near na hotel
cons:
- mga kids lang yung nasa front ng host, yung adult tables nasa side na ( worry ko lang baka di ma enjoy ng adults yung program)

2. betty's place, qc
pros
- can fit up to 150 persons
- free venue for 3 hours
- yummy daw yung food
- great ambiance
- tiffany chairs
cons
- low ceiling
- walang near na hotel ( ang alam lang namin na hotel is yung great eastern hotel along quezon ave. pero super luma na daw yun and ayaw ni hubby dun kasi may bad feedbacks daw)

3. prestige tower, ortigas

- super kasya yung guests ko

- may near hotels din
- affordable yung food packages

- low ceiling
- parang ang dilim ng place sa photos, mukang gloomy

Anyone na may alam pang venue (ingress or engress), next month na kasi 1st birthday ng daughter ko.
And samahan nyo na din ng mga suppliers nyo para dun nalang ako mag focus.

mga sis, try niyo rin ang Pepetons Restaurant sa Mother Ignacia,Q.C. All Filipino food with reasonable price -- masarap pa. Dito yung reception ng binyag ng baby ko. Malaki venue nila and daming parking.

yung prestige, free venue for 4 hours basta dapat ma reach mo yung minimum amount nila sa food which is 25k adult menu. may in-house caterer sila.

We will have an occular visit tomorrow at Prestige. Baka magpareserve na rin kami of 10k. Ok lang ba ang 10am-2pm na schedule mga sis? Hindi na kasi available yung afternoon nila.

I see. I haven't seen it pa kasi. Mas okay ba yung UP balay kalinaw? Is this airconditioned? I'm looking for a baptsimal reception venue kasi with a capacity of about 70-80 people na affordable lang. My first choice kasi would be the christ the king social hall kasi.

Sa bahay ng alumni nagreception dati ang pinsan ko. Hindi naman kami nainitan. Magrentmkna lang nung mga portable aircon.

i had my wedding at UP bahay ng alumni. hindi naman nainitan ang guests kasi very breezy sa UP and they have lots of fans. tip ko lang sa mga mag-e-event dun, make sure na you use swags kasi ang pangit sa picture pag wala parang walang ceiling yung dating, sabog tingnan. nung nag-ocular kasi kami they showed me pics of past events there, nagandahan ako dun sa set-up na may swags. kaya lang i thought na sila magpro-provide nun, akala ko every event kasama sa venue yun e hindi pala so walang swags nung wedding ko and ang pangit tuloy nung ibang pictures.

50thousand. balak ko sana lumipat dun ng venue since maganda ayusan high ceiling and pwede kahit sinong supplier ipasok mo kaso nakapag full payment na ako sa unang venue kinuha ko. parking space magbabayad pa mga guest.
