^For 1st bday, parang hindi siya appropriate. They have plenty of lights, but dark yung interiors, we had plenty of balloons to enliven the place. Marami ba guests niyo? Maybe you'd like to check Wheatberry cafe, mas malaki yata ng unti sa Papa John's. Sis Sachism has a review of that yata.

^what we got is their idolls party package. It includes 7,500 worth of idolls, invites for your guests and party host. But you have to pay additional 2.5k for their party area. Usually nga lang packed or party tray na ang food because they do not allow cooking kahit [textspeak!] food warmers ng caterer di pwede. Maximum of 50 guest including the kids ang kayang iaccomodate.

Sis mae_s, i remembered may bagong small hotel  diyan sa scout area. The Cocoon Boutique Hotel, maganda ang location, maganda ang party venue, with mini pool pa and may view!  We wanted it for our boys but the food package hindi namin gusto. Try to negotiate, baka gumanda na ang package.

sis momof2bebe, sige try ko din yung cocoon botique hotel. Thanks sis ha! nasa choices ko din pala yung betty's cafe. mukang maganda din yung function room nila. sure, babalitaan ko kayo. sa July 2012 pa bday ng son ko pero as early as now naghahanap na ko ng party venue. hehe.

^^ sis gulaysk, nagtanong na ako sa Papa John's - wala pa silang party package pero nung nagtanong kami ni hubby, ang sabi ng manager P350/ pax daw. Ang MAHAL! i mean, if you look at their menu, may pizza nang P350, ano yun, tig-isa ang guests? sabi ko sa manager - "ha? buffet ba yun? anong inclusion nun?" di siya makasagot. i guess wala pa masyado nagpaparty dun at di pa nila napagnilay-nilayan ang packages nila. hehe.

would anyone know how much is the rate sa barangay hall of st. ignatius? i attended a party of my son's playmate there last saturday. maganda naman yung place. medyo on the luma side and low ceiling. pero madadaan naman sa decorations. the aircon is good considering there were a lot of people.

Good afternoon, I would like to ask if any mommies know a good restaurant place for baptismal celebration near Our Lady of Abandoned Church (OLA) in Marikina. Preferably, 75 to 100pax for the accommodations(yung all-in na po like chairs, foods, etcs). No need naman po na engrande yung celebration just simple and serene, hopefully (casting the guests-kids aside on the part of being serene . I've read regarding Kapitan Moy medyo malaki siya >100pax, and is it only a venue... do we need to get caterers and other services? Ok lang po sa amin tulad ng sa brother ko noon sa celebration ng pamangkin ko sa west avenue QC sa may barrio fiesta kami....

mga sis nakapag shortlist na kami ng possible venue para sa 1st bday ni baby, i need more feedbacks lang mga sis sa mga nakapagtry na po ng venues, hirap magdecide eh. pa help mga sis.

btw, i have 90 adults and 20 kids na guests. pero im eyeing for venue na kasya ang 100 adults and 30 kids para sure.

1. the columns, makati
pros:
- we have sponsor na
- can fit 80-100 persons daw pero nung nag ask ako sa ibang sis natin here, nagkasya naman daw yung guests nila kahit nagover sa 100 yung guests
- may near na hotel
cons:
- mga kids lang yung nasa front ng host, yung adult tables nasa side na ( worry ko lang baka di ma enjoy ng adults yung program)

2. betty's place, qc
pros
- can fit up to 150 persons
- free venue for 3 hours
- yummy daw yung food
- great ambiance
- tiffany chairs
cons
- low ceiling
- walang near na hotel ( ang alam lang namin na hotel is yung great eastern hotel along quezon ave. pero super luma na daw yun and ayaw ni hubby dun kasi may bad feedbacks daw)

3. prestige tower, ortigas
pros
- super kasya yung guests ko
- free venue din
- may near hotels din
- affordable yung food packages
cons
- low ceiling
- parang ang dilim ng place sa photos, mukang gloomy

from your experiences, ano bang mas ok sa tatlo mga sis? thanks in advance!

^ my son's first birthday and his 3rd bday and christening of my daughter was held at betty's place...even if low headroom, ok coz they have nice chandelier..you can check out my photos at my fb (gracey vallarta), sarap ng food and you need not spend too much on setting up the venue, elegant yung venue itself...

you can try also patio ibarra...that's where my daughter will spend her 1st bday january next year...

sis mae_s, i haven't tried any of those venues personally but based on photos, pinaka like ko yung columns and betty's. i agree with you na parang ang dark and gloomy nung prestige sa photos. agree din ako sa hubby mo, i wouldn't recommend staying at great eastern hotel. there's a lot of other choices sa scout area. i remember may nag-post about a new hotel, the cocoon on sct. rallos, i think. there's also stonehouse sa may e. rod and lemon tree inn on sct. magbanua cor. quezon ave.

sis jpeach, yung sa columns kasi mga kids lang yung nasa front mismo ng host. yung adults nasa side na lahat. eh nabasa ko from 1 of our sis here na nung dun sya nagparty sa The Columns, parang di nagustuhan ni Alex L. yung setup kasi gusto nya lahat makakapanood ng maayos including yung adult guests. Eh im pencil booked na with Alex L. so im having second thoughts if pipiliin namin yung The Columns eh. Baka mag Betty's na lang kami tapos check namin yung mga suggested mong hotels sis. medyo malapit na rin ba yung mga yun sa Betty's sis?
